SCION THE PROTECTOR

Chapter 5: Chapter five;

They arrived in Lauin's lab at the bottom of the ocean, now Leo had been around for a long time and he had seen alot of things but it was his first time seeing something on that scale.

when he saw the holographic celestial AI he had to be startled, Lauin calmed him down and took in the celestial arm for storage. Leonid asked whether he could take a little of their technology for his community.

But before Lauin could respond Ziran turned him down, Ziran said that one of the main reasons they placed their lab at the lowest part of the ocean is because humanity isn't ready to recieve celestial technology, seeing as they are already trying to kill each other with the rudimentary technology they have,

Would it be a rationally good idea to give them a better way to kill each other? he says that even if humanity was to somehow unite under one banner it still wouldn't be wise to grant them technology that advanced.

they may use it to subjugate a big portion of the universe and enslave several races and that isn't something Ziran is willing to let happen. He says that if humanity faces a threat that big, Ziran will help Lauin protect the planet with all their might.

But that is all this technology will be used for, humanity would have to make their technological advancements at a regular human interval and not recieve a massive jump they aren't ready for yet, Leonid says that the immortal city is an isolated community beneath the city of Rome,

they don't easily interact with humanity so their technology would be safe and free from human vices. Ziran then tells him that not so long ago the people of the Immortal city raised a baby celestial and once they were clouded by its power they ended up attempting to enslave their world and even broke through the space-time continuum by travelling into the future,

Their actions not only threatened their own city but they also invaded the time stream threatening an entire timeline. In the end they had to be banished to a doomed alternate reality where their actions wouldn't threaten innocent lives.

Ziran tells Leonid that although his intentions are pure there is no telling what the rest of his people will do with technology that advanced. He says that as an example the Eternals were granted a small portion of celestial technology.

After seeing its potential they too never shared it with humanity yet humanity possessing that level of technology would have made the role of the Eternals protecting the world much easier, however like Ziran the Eternals not only saw the potential of human advancement via that technology,

they also saw the potential of human destruction while in possession of that technology, they couldn't take that risk and neither can Ziran, the difference between Lauin and the Eternals is that he will be more hands on during his protection efforts.

With that Ziran grants Leonid a gift, he uses some of Lauin's celestial energy to stimulate Leonid's genetic data finishing his evolution into a full fledged Eternal.

Although Leonid's potential is better than an eternal meaning he was actually comparable to Lauin in some way, it was Ziran's way of appreciating Leonid's efforts in helping Lauin.

However for the time being Lauin can handle this business without him, although Leonid didn't obtain the celestial technology, he gained more strength to protect his community.

At the same time Ziran granted him access to their core so Leonid could use his human eternal machine abilities to reach out incase he needs help and they too can reach out to him if they need his help.

With that Leonid is teleported back into the Immortal city, after they were alone Ziran tells Lauin to keep the space warp to a minimum and reserve it for emergencies as it would attract unwanted attention to the planet,

He reveals that celestials aren't the only beings capable of tracking celestial energy across the universe, even celestials have enemies. Since they were alone, Lauin asked about the voice they heard when Lauin attained his celestial core.

Ziran tells him that when the celestials dominated the universe they incurred the wrath of some of the strongest forces in the multiverse, however before they were annihilated a neutral force came to their aid, its name is the fulcrum and from that time all celestials work under the Fulcrum.

It split the celestials across the multiverse to reduce their power and keep the beings that hunted them at ease. Currently a celestial exists across multiple universes in portions but should one celestial manage to merge all its counterparts back together it would ascend back to it's original strength.

the only celestial to ever achieve that feat was Taimut the dreaming celestial, however after achieving that feat, he was taken by the fulcrum. The rest of the celestials still exist in portions across the multiverse and they follow the Fulcrum's command so that he keeps them safe,

when you break the rules of the Fulcrum you incur his wrath and in most cases he removes the celestial from his protection, once you are abandoned by the Fulcrum a celestial doesn't last long before its hunted down.

Lauin then asks whether he too is fragmented across reality since he too is merging with celestial technology, Ziran tells Lauin that his situation is different, although he can be considered to be very powerful by human scaling, he has all but absorbed 0.5% of Ziran's former strength.

He says that the current Ziran is only a fragment of his full self, even he cannot tell how many realities he has been fragmented in, only the Fulcrum knows how many realities each celestial exists in, however there are a limited number of times and each opportunity has to be cherished.

with that as a cautionary tale, Lauin resumed his life, he would prioritize his work and education first while in his spare time he would fly across the world in search of all sorts of celestial metals, within two months he had finished cleaning the entire world of all traces of celestial technology, all except the stash that had been stored at shield.

the world had also started noticing Lauin's presence, it wasn't that he only focused on celestial technology but if a chance arose where he was needed to help save a few lives he never turned it down but instead rose up to the challenge.

he had acted alongside the fantastic four, the champions, the young avengers, the X-men, the inhumans, the defenders, the warriors and even once acted alongside the Avengers

but throughout this entire time he had refused to attack the shield strong hold storing the rest of the celestial technology. Although he was now much more powerful than any hero he could think of on earth, he still didn't want to be branded as a villain.

all the celestial equipment he had summoned had been shrunk down and placed in his storage. he could feel that the pieces weren't just junk and Ziran seemed to have a plan for them however whatever that plan was he was never informed, in addition to those few pieces,

Lauin could also feel that there were two more celestial hot spots however based on their energy signatures they may be full sized celestial bodies.

apart from the one he had previously sensed in the South African mountains, he could feel one at the north pole however its energy seemed weak like it was nearly depleted, the one in south Africa remained the one celestial hotspot with the strongest energy signature.

Regardless of his feelings though, he chose to finish his mission, Ziran gave him the intelligence of the entire Shield base detailing the location of the storage center as well as their security level.

one should understand that by this time Lauin was practically a quasi celestial himself, humanity's security defences were practically useless in the face of his power.

he teleported inside the Shield base instantly and the entire time shifted his frequency to be out of synch with the world so no detection device could find him.

he generated a vortex that swallowed up all the remnant celestial technology from the shield vault and even appeared inside their lab to pick up the last piece they were researching.

All this happened in the time span of a second and none of the highly advanced detection devices within the shield base could detect his presence. There was one being that felt his movement but this being wasn't within Shield, he was someone outside shield and he was someone with cosmic awareness at the same level as Lauin.

Lauin could sense him and this being could sense him as well, this was Kevin Connor the planetary defence mechanism known as the Starbrand, however none of them felt any malice in the other so they chose to let eachother be.

Kevin had sensed Lauin take the celestial technology all this time and he even felt where Layin wa sleeping them but he never inferred because he could sense that Lauin's intentions were pure.

Sp when he felt Lauin raid the shield base he didnt bother with stopping him, he even went further to aid him prevent SWORD's detection devices from locking in on his energy signature.

With this help Lauin gathered all the celestial technology and transported it all back to his lab under the sea before he teleported away, each piece he moved after absorbing it's full energy and as the last one was taken he had absorbed as much as 5% of a celestial's full energy output and in that instant his mind achieved a sublimation of sorts.

he achieved space god level celestial awareness and with that he could see that he had been played for a fool, he could finally see the whole picture and he saw all that Ziran was planning.

To start with, the Celestial he was wearing wasn't actually called Ziran, that is the name it took after its dismantling and fall on earth.

The real Ziran the tester was a different celestial who didn't even reside in this reality, in fact this Ziran wasn't even what you would call an actual celestial. He belonged to a race of cosmic beings called the Exterminators, these beings had the same strength and power as the celestials

they were created by the celestials to act as their death and destruction counterpart while the celestials focused on creation and life. During the war, one of the walls of this reality was cracked and this exterminator seeped through, since he had encountered celestials before it was easy for him to pass himself as one.

When Lauin sensed the calling of the Fulcrum he forged a story to keep him reliant of itself. In that instant of absolute clarity Lauin reconnected to the Fulcrum by his own free will.

After achieving this ability he was transported out of the third dimension and he felt himself elevated until he actually left the confines of the multiverse. He arrived in a place that was akin to a bar, he could feel this was a way station for cosmic entities and there was only one operator who was the bartender.

This bartender had blue skin and blue fire for hair but he was dressed in simple human clothes, at that moment the bartender looked at him and Lauin understood instantly that the bartender is the Fulcrum.
