After Ziran explained in detail about Lauin's current situation and his new home, Lauin discovered that he had burnt through all of his power and since his genes had been maximized he needed to absorb pure celestial energy for the time being so as to prevent any complications from happening,

this meant that he cannot yet utilize the energy from the dual star core of his home. After asking where he would find celestial energy on earth, Ziran explains that the pieces of his destroyed body rained over the planet.

Although his body contained about 5% of his total energy, it would be more than enough to help Lauin complete the evolution, at that time his body would generate it's own core and then he will be able to directly absorb cosmic energy regardless of where he was,

Ziran says that the biggest pieces that had most of his power were taken by human law enforcement, there are smaller shards available allover the planet although most have been hoarded by underground human organizations and scientific groups.

Regardless of who had the shards Lauin cannot continue without their energy. Ziran then tells him that pieces of celestial technology shouldn't be in mortal hands in the first place as humans would destroy themselves with it.

human law enforcement may be able to try and contain the technology that shows up but Lauin can track all of it, all that is in use and all that isnt in use yet so it is now his job to retrieve all the celestial technology on earth and safeguard it in his undersea home.

Lauin asks how he will do that in between attending lectures at campus. Ziran tells him that his transformation process till now took longer than Lauin expected.

To Lauin's astonishment, he learns that it is now Monday early morning in Memphis which is the first day for Lauin's lectures at the university as well as his part time job.

Lauin then rushes to fly out but he is stopped by Ziran, Ziran tells him that although he can still move, his energy reserves have been depleted and he needs to recharge before he can use his powers again,

in his current state if he was to fly outside the core his body would fall victim to the ocean floor's pressure and it will be obliterated, Lauin insists that he needs to get to his job and later on the university and Ziran tells him that there is a way,

Ziran says that he marked one of the doors in Lauin's apartment before they left, it was the door to his bathroom so Ziran could generate a space way from the lab to Lauin's apartment so that once Lauin enters that pathway he appears in his bathroom and once in his bathroom he can activate the doorway into the lab.

Ziran says that once Lauin recovers his power he will be able to fly back down anytime he wants. Lauin asks why he would fly if he could use the space ways and Ziran informs him that ordinary space ways aren't the problem however the kind Lauin is using is the problem.

Ziran tells him that his spaceway was constructed using celestial energy which means that it will emit cosmic radiation each time it is used, if Lauin uses it sparingly, the radiation could still be dispersed over time and nothing will happen,

however using it frequently will release so much radiation that his bathroom will be detected by SWORD devices. At that time they can locate it and him and maybe locate his core lab as well where they intend to store the majority of celestial technology they reclaim.

Lauin understands and asks Ziran to implement the doorway, Ziran opens the doorway and Lauin steps through, his body gets dizzy slightly as the ground is taken from under his feet but a second later he is grounded again as he appears in his bathroom.

he can then see the mark left by Ziran on his door, he asks himself what would happen if anyone else opens the door or even sees the space marker. Suddenly a voice pops up in his mind startling him, it was Ziran who was answering his question.

Ziran tells him that the marker will only appear once it detects his genetic make up, beyond that it will be out of phase with earth's frequency rendering it practically invisible.

however if someone with cosmic awareness or someone fluent in cosmic energy manipulation arrives, they may be able to discover the marker with slight probing and probably trace it back the core.

Lauin was still wondering how Ziran heard him and responded when they are literally leagues apart. Ziran told him that his perception has advanced so much to the extent that his mind can reach allover the world instantly,

the only reason he isn't telepathic is because he hasn't started absorbing psionic energy yet but his mind can still receive thought messages. It's a good thing as they can remain in touch, it will also be their major communication medium since it cannot be blocked by anything in the human world,

it also similarly cannot be detected by anything short of cosmic awareness, after that brief exchange of information Lauin rushes to change after he discovered that he actually had no need for baths,

His powers periodically cleansed him so he was always clean, he rushed to his workplace taking a taxi and arriving just in time for his training shift to begin, for the first half of the day he dealt with normal stuff that for a moment just a slight moment he had forgotten about the massive changes that had happened to him.

As it clocked two in the afternoon his shift ended and he left the workplace, he still had two hours before his lectures were meant to start but since freshers were starting there would be day long orientation sessions so he chose to use these two hours learning about the campus,

He boarded another taxi to the university and as he arrived the university guild members were welcoming the new students as well as directing them to their lecture halls.

Orientation lasted for a while and when it was done Lauin made his way to one of the lecture rooms he would be using to check it out, now imagine his surprise when he arrived there and found he wasn't the only one there.

inside was another guy who met him with a smile. looking at the guy Lauin felt a sense of familiarity, if his powers were present he had a feeling he would know who this guy was but currently he drew a blank,

at that very instant he realized that Ziran was right; he really needed to absorb celestial energy soon enough otherwise he may even unintentionalluy run into trouble he could've avoided with slight probing.

the guy he had met in the room makes his way to Lauin and introduces himself as Leonid Newton but most people just call him Leo, Lauin introduced himself in turn as Lauin Lexis and at that very instant, Ziran activates in Lauin's mind.

Ziran tells Lauin that Leonid or Leo as he wants to be called isn't a regular human being, Lauin gets shocked slightly and then Ziran informs him that Leo is a human-deviant hybrid as well except Leo's human parent wasn't a mutant.

because of that Leo possesses cosmic energy related powers except his abilities are about on par with the Eternals, in short Leo is weaker than him if Lauin can manage to finish his evolution with celestial energy.

Leo was already speaking and he said that he cam sense that Lauin had just awakened his deviant gene however for some reason his cosmic affinity is even greater than Leonid.

he then asks whether Lauin awakened because of the recent celestial energy wave that washed over the planet during the celestial's death, Ziran tells Lauin to play along because he doesn't sense any trouble from Leo.

Infact he gets the feeling Leo may be on their side. Lauin informs Leo that an encounter with a piece of celestial technology was how he came to awaken his mutant/deviant gene and what he needs to do right now is locate more celestial energy to complete his evolution,

Leo says that he has been tracking the technology as well, he states that his community wanted to take it from human hands but he is worried that there are some in his community that would choose to use this technology for their own personal means.

he then says that if Lauin is certain he can keep this technology from impacting human lives then Leo will willingly help him track it down. Lauin says that at the moment he wants it mainly so he can absorb the celestial energy stored within it but after he absorbs the energy, the technology will be stored into his fortress where very few among the human race can actually reach.

Leo tells Lauin that he sensed a piece of celestial technology at the university and he was about to go retrieve it when he sensed Lauin's presence, he says that he has never met another of his kind so he was intrigued to find out just who Lauin was.

Lauin says that previously he was able to sense all the celestial technology pieces allover the word however with his powers drained due to his incomplete evolution he cannot sense any of them.

Leo nods in understanding and that was a common thing that Lauin was facing and he takes the lead and they leave the lecture hall heading directly for the department of astral physics. As they got near the building Lauin started feeling the pull of the technology,

It was like the technology was reacting to his presence and he could feel it, suddenly his mental strength showed its use, in his mind a map to where the piece of technology is appears and he can see just how many people stand between him and the technology.

however before they take another step Ziran speaks to Lauin and tells him to wait outside. Lauin informs Leo to wait and as they do an unexpected tragedy happens within the lab they were about to enter.
