School Time 2- The Awakening

But Tommy gets restless, like those kids when they want to get up to mischief, he looks at his watch, it's already over 3pm, he throws a pillow at Luan's head, waking him up, the others look on and don't understand, but the boys in the band are on alert, Derick looks furiously at Tommy, and already knows that he's going to have to go to Luan, hold him in case he wakes up in a dubious mood, or even his host wakes up, Luan wakes up a little scared and soon gets up: 

 "Hnm, but who was the idiot who did that?" 

Derick quickly goes over to him and makes him sit back down on the sofa, pushing him with his finger and saying: 

"Stay still, and sit there..." 

Luan is pushed away and sits back down on the sofa, he's feeling a bit dizzy because he got up too quickly, he puts his hand to his head, he still looks sleepy, Derick turns to everyone and says in a serious voice: 

 "We have a rule here, which everyone must abide by, on no account wake this boy, if you see him sleeping, leave him sleeping, for everyone's sake, leave him SLEEPING." 

Tommy swallows dryly, it's better not to mention that it was him, although everyone must already know that it was him who threw the pillow Mark looks at him ugly, Tommy is the only crazy person who wants to mess with another crazy person. The rehearsal is soon over, and some changes and details have been agreed for January 5th when school starts again. They've already rehearsed a lot for both the prom dance and the musical performance. Luan seems distant, as if he hadn't downloaded his spirit after being woken up suddenly, Theo and Kenji hitch a ride with them, Derick drops them off at home, it's a bit cold today and there's a lot of frost, so they leave Theo and Kenji at home, and go straight to Grandpa Han's house, the New Year's party will be there, both have already left their clothes to shower at their grandpa's house, since they've had a full day of rehearsals, which on the other hand makes them a bit tired. 

As soon as they arrive, they greet their grandfather and grandmother and go to take a shower to change, they stay in the guest room, Luan now seems to have improved his mood, his spirit has apparently finished downloading, Derick is taking a shower, he doesn't take long and soon comes out, he's already wearing dress pants and goes to pick up his shirt on the bed, Luan is almost hanging from a table to pick up a box he found, he doesn't believe what he's seeing and speaks in a low voice: 

 "What are you doing on the table, Luan?" 

Luan signals with his hand for him to be quiet: 

 "Shh, I saw this box on the shelf, and for some reason it caught my eye, let's see what's inside." 

Luan is always very curious, some magical item is inside the box, making it catch his attention, he doesn't mind coming to the guest room of his grandfather's house, he had more access to the office, full of books on the shelves where he has done a lot of research and probably still does a lot, and sometimes he goes to the warehouse, it's a place that still needs to be explored more, last time they found the head masks of two demons, which they use as a disguise when they go to the Gate of Hell, thus depriving their faces of the other demons, he sits down on the bed and opens the medium-sized box, inside there are lots of photos, an album, a notebook that at first seems to be his father Luke's, Luan knows a little of his father's handwriting, he can only identify it because there's a name on the first page, there are some letters, they look like romantic letters, he looks at one of them and notices that it's his mother Ana's handwriting, they look like letters that were exchanged between his father and mother many years ago, photos of his teenage mother, his father Luke, his uncle Justin and mutual friends, but he can't find the magic item, He looks at the bottom of the box, but there's nothing left, maybe there's a false bottom, but he's unsuccessful in opening it, it could be a spell that only the real owner of the box can open, he deduces that the box belongs to his mother, he returns the items to the box, and as soon as his mother arrives for the New Year's Eve party he takes the box and asks her about it, she's still curious. 

Derick takes the opportunity to look at some photos, since Luan has gone through the box there are photos of his father Justin, he even finds a photo of his younger mother Jully, holding a baby, together with his father Justin, and it seems to be his brother Dylan as a baby, he stares at the photo for a while, since his memories of his brother's face seem confused, Derick has always found this very strange, but has never commented on it to anyone, even though he has some photos in his house of his brother, in his dreams and memories his face is still not visible, he ends up letting the emotion speak louder, and ends up commenting to Luan about: 

 "That's baby in the photo, that's my brother Dylan, but I can't remember his face exactly, even though I have some photos, and I showed you one.
