Sauron's road of redemption

Chapter 4: mining for mithril.

Well let's see what they have to offer here.

Moving in the makeshift throne room Sauron's eyes fell on the orc sitting on a throne of Dwarven skulls and bones.

A pale orc much like his father, Azog the deviler.

The Gundabad orcs were a hardier type than other orcs, longer lived too.

The orc before him should already be more than 80 to 90 years old.

But he is still in his prime.

The orc on the throne looked at Sauron his eyes squinted.

"What have you come for pale man."

"I need your orcs to mine mithril for me."

"And why should I humour your request?"

He said both as a challenge and real curiosity.

"Because neither you nor your armies can stop me."

Abadun grumbled.

He had heard reports from the army that fled from Sauron, before he fed the messenger to his wargs.

Speaking in the black tongue Sauron looked down upon Abadun, his red glowing eyes burning into the soul of the great orc.

While Abadun was a great warrior that lay claim to his father's throne after his fall in the battle of the five armies.

But he could not stand up against a maiar.

Let alone Sauron.

Sauron walked up to the throne where Abandon sat.

Towering over him Sauron grabbed him by the throat lifting him up from his throne.

Abandon was a giant orc standing at 2,10 meters.

But before Sauron he still dangled in the air.

Unable to breath.

The wargs were growling to Sauron who only needed to release some of his magic to intimate the room.

All fell still both the wargs and the orcs.

Throwing Abandon down the stairs he took place on his throne.

"Abandon order your orcs to mine for mithril get as much as possible."

Abandon with his hurt pride moved away, no choice but to obey his command.

"You" Sauron pointed his finger to a orc.

"Get me a knive and smithing tools."

Also salt to tan a hide with.

"Yes chieftain"

A orc scurried off to get the needed materials.

Sauron stood up from his throne and walked to one of the side halls where he found a empty chamber.

"Good I can work with this."

While it wasn't the best location to make his armour it was good enough.

Sauron waited until the orc came back with his materials.

Meanwhile he was thinking on what materials he could use for his armour.

When the orc came back he put all the smithing equipment to the side.

"Pale lord what may I do for you now."

"Pale lord huh I kinda like that."

"I want you to bring me a warg."

"And tell Abadun that I want Durins bane found I need to speak to him."

"I can bring the warg, but Durins bane has not been seen sinds his fight with the wizard."

"You say that he is lost?"

"Yes lord"

" Possibly slain sinds the wizard had been found to be walking under the living after."

A develish smile formed on Sauron's face.

He thought he had to give Durins bane some promises so that he may mine mithril but now a new opportunity has shown his face.

"I order you to search for Durins bane from the deepest bellows of Moria, to the very peak of these mountains."

"Yes pale lord I will spread your orders."

Sometime later a warg was brought in, the beast was uneasy.

Sauron grabbed the dagger.

Slowly walking up to the beast until he was next to it.

Then het stabbed the blade in the throat of the warg severing it's artery and letting it bleed out.

Sauron held the neck of the beast up while the warg struggled to get out of his grip.

The warg snapped at Sauron, but the beast could not get trough his skin nor break Sauron's bones in his giant jaws.

This warg looked more wolflike unlike Mordors wargs that looked more like hyenas.

The beast slowly lost the fight and the struggle slowly came to an end.

Still holding his neck Sauron lifted the beast of the ground and unto a table.

There he plunged the knife into the belly of the beast.

Gutting it and spilling the entrails on the ground.

Sauron now soaked in blood and guts turned to the orc that stood there at the entrance.

"Build me a forge in the depts of Moria where the dwarfs found Durins bane, rivers of fire and stone should be present there."

Turning back to the warg Sauron thought of something.

"Right send another orc here I have need of orcish leather."

The orc that was ready to leave started sweating heavily.

"Yes pale lord."

The orc left quickly to assemble a group to build the forge.

A few minutes later a orc was sent inside the tanning room.

There Sauron was done skinning the warg.

Having hung the corpse upside down on a metal hook stuck in the ceiling.

He turned to the orc ordering him to come close.

The Orc still hesitant moved foreward.

When he stood before Sauron a knive was drawn Sauron slowly moved the knive towards the unprotected neck of the orc.

The orc tried to run tried to plead to Sauron but it fell on deaf ears.

The knive plunged into his flesh slowly cutting trough his artery's airpipe and skin.

Until it even went straight trough his bones.

All in a unbearable slow and agonizing way.

Sauron did this all while expressionlessly watching what he was doing.

Until he fully cut trough and his head fell to the ground.

A single tear still at the edge of the orc's eyes.

Sauron grabbed the body before hanging it next to the body of the warg.

He began gutting it before skinning him with great pression making sure he would not damage the skin for his orcish leather.

After being done he treated the skin's and hanging them to dry, before moving down the mine.

"I have to wash of all this blood."

"With all this black blood all over me my old moniker of dark lord is more accurate than pale lord." Hehe.

Sauron laughed at his own disturbing humour.

Sauron moved down the dimly lid halls, approaching the depts of Moria.

There rivers of magma flowed underneath the great mountains.

"Good just the right temperature."

Sauron lowerd himself into the magma, allowing it to burn away the blood sticking to his skin.

Hours passed as Sauron waited in the smoldering heat.

Pat pat pat.

"Oh great lord I came to inform you that your forge has been made."

"All materials to create your armoured has been laid out my lord."

"Including the tannedes hides."

"Good lead the way has Abadun begun to instruct the orcs to search for mithril already?"

"Yes my lord Abadun has beguned to send the orces down the mines."

"Good I will stay for another week tell him that if he values his life, he better have found enough mithril to satisfy me."

"Did you find clues about Durins bane already or not?"

"I will tellet Abadun about this master, and we have not yet found Durins bane."

"You have the same timespan as Abadun to find him, if you fail you will become the leather handle on my next weapon."

"I understand pale lord."

The orc scurried of quickly, while Sauron made his way towards his forge.

There he found a newly constructed forge with a bellow aimed at the magma.

Iron laying next to the forge ready for exploitation.

Reaching for the iron Sauron moved the heap of metal down the forge.

There he melted the iron casting incantation upon the iron.

Slowly mixing different ingredients to create steel.

Bang bang bang.

Sauron began to beat the steel slowly shaping the metal to create his armour.

Days past by and on the seventh day Sauron finished his armour.

While not its final form was still made from enchanted steel, made in the bellows of the earth perfected by skill and magic.

Sauron took out his armour the steel blackened by the runes inscribed on it.

The black speech inscribed densely on the armour.

"Orc!" Sauron called.

A orc hurried down the hall, ready to do his bidding.

"My name is Oroen oh pale lord."

"It matters little orc, tell Abadun that I want my mithril ready."

"I will relay the message pale lord."

"Go on I will wait in the throne room."

Sauron leisurely walked to the throne room,

Sitting down he waited until Abadun returned with his orcs.

Carrying with him a box.

Sauron was interested now, how much mithril would they have found.

"Abadun bing forth the mithril."

"Yes pale lord."

"Bring forth the mithril."

Two orcs slowly brought forth the box resting on their shoulders.

Carefully putting it down, they opend the box, revealing multiple kilograms of mithril.

Sauron was more than pleased by this.

"Abandon you did great."

"Oroen how is the search for Durins bane?"
