Chapter 20: Chapter 19 - Ruthless Sensei

"Is that truly you, Yuta?" One of the kids in the dojo asked.

"You like what you see, right?" Yuta was feeling almighty but still with that built up body, some kids at the dojo are still superior to him in all aspects.

"So, what kind of training did you partake in?" Isshin asked.

"Nothing much sensei. I just kept doing the regular things you taught me and had to visit the gym few months ago to help build my muscles and stamina." Yuta spoke diligently to his first martial art sensei.

"That explains it then. Rika!" Isshin shouted.

"Yes." She replied.

"Come on out. You'll be dueling against Yuta over here and remember to stay focused while exercising what you've learnt so far." Isshin instructed as the girl stepped forward.

"Don't think you can win, so give it your all….weakling." Yuta taunted but the girl remained calm, keeping her focus locked on any flashy attack from the boy.

'Don't think I'll go easy on you because you're a girl. I've experienced how it felt losing to a girl I once underestimated.' He thought as he crouched down and took his combat stance Isshin taught him. The other kids watched Yuta very closely to see how he had improved after leaving the dojo while others cheered for Rika.

Yuta broke out from his stance and inhaled some fresh air into his lungs and released it. Everyone was curious about what he wanted to do while breaking out from his battle stance, but immediately he felt Rika's lack of focus for a moment, he forced all his strength into both legs and quickly leap behind Rika and landed a heavy chop on her neck making her instantly unconscious.

'Did I just move at a great speed?' He wasn't sure of what he did but immediately raised his right hand up indicating him the winner.

All the kids were shocked seeing Rika, the new member of the dojo who joined just after Yuta left and climbed up the ladder to the top 10 strongest martial art students easily beaten by Yuta.

Some kids wondered what he just did to Rika since he moved at a speed that the kids couldn't follow but Isshin was the only person in the dojo that saw what he just pulled.

He inhaled deeply and directed all of his energy towards his legs, which allowed him to move at a respectable pace that Rika could not keep up with.' Isshin analyzed what he just saw and walked up to Yuta.

"I see you haven't been slacking off from your training and also you did a good job knocking Rika unconscious." Isshin praised him and walked to the unconscious Rika carrying her on his shoulder to lay her down at the right corner of the dojo.

"So cool, Yuta." They exclaimed and applauded him for his win.

"So, what's with that move of yours?" A kid with brown tails asked him.

"I just felt like I needed to show off a little, so I just imagined what I just did in my mind and exhibited it and shockingly, it worked." Yuta stated truthfully.

"Ehhh, that's great but with that, you still can't beat me in the ways of martial arts." The strongest kid in the dojo taunted Yuta as they burst into laughter.

"Should we get right into business?" Yuta smirked as his gaze locked in with his mother's gaze telling him to stop with the attitude.

He quickly noticed what his mom was saying through her eyes and decided to be on his best behavior. Isshin came over to Yuta's mom and chatted for some while.

"Yuta! Can you please come over here." The mom said.

Yuta respectively stood up and walked towards where his mom and Isshin were.

"Yuta, so what's your plan behind this?" The mom said.

"Plan? I've got no plan behind this. I just want to take my martial art to the next level so I can be a real fighter." He spoke.

"And what's the meaning of this being a real fighter? Didn't I just see you take down a fellow student with one shot?" The mother was confused.

"Mom, please understand me. This is the reason I've been training all this while and I promise you after this training, I won't cause you any more trouble." His eyes became that of a puppy as he pleaded for his mom to approve his trip with Isshin.

"And if you don't keep your promise, you will be grounded for two weeks without a smartphone, video games or tv." She promised him.

"Sure, mom." He smiled and hugged her out of the blue. Isshin just stood there watching as he let out a cough turning their attention towards him.

"Maam, I'll take responsibility if anything bad should happen to your son. I agreed to send him to my old man who I learnt martial arts from, because I found a lot of potential in him and I know he will rise to the top." Isshin became serious.

"Alright, my friend. I hope to see the greatness and benefit of this inside Yuta." The mom said while still blaming herself to allow her son to go on a year training adventure.

"I promise you he will be fine since he will be under the care of my sensei." Isshin made sure to reassure the woman of the safety of her son.

"Okay then. Yuta! I pray for your safety in your one year adventure and always call me if anything bad or suspicious happens." The mother said.

"Sure mom, I promise to keep in touch with you and continue to stay safe. Love you, mom." Yuta hugged her once again for another minute before letting go.

"Love you too, son." She bid her son farewell with a kiss on the forehead before shaking hands with Isshin and made her exit out of the dojo.

"Are you prepared for this?" Isshin made sure to confirm again.

"Sure." He carried his belongings and exited the dojo with Isshin. They both made their way to the train station and Isshin bought tickets for two as they boarded the train.

Shortly after they got inside, the train began to move, and Yuta pulled out his headphones and plugged them into his smartphone to listen to a Japanese song by his favorite artist.

He closed his eyes and slept off as Isshin took a look at the young boy who possessed a lot of potential to even surpass him one day. The train rode for a few hours before Isshin and his student came down and exited the train. 'It brings back so many memories coming back here after all these years.' Isshin thought as he led the way.

"I guess I'll have to buy my old man's favorite drink as a gift." He muttered to himself.

"Did you say something just now, sensei?" Yuta heard a little whisper.

"Nope." Isshin lied as they stood along the road waiting for a taxi. As both of them kept waiting, Isshin told Yuta all about the man he was to meet and despite his old age, he could still triumph over Isshin when it comes to martial arts.

"I guess you're saying never put my guard down to ensure the safety of my life?" Yuta asked.

"Yes, absolutely. He's old but never underestimate him since he had also trained someone who is now a pro hero." Isshin warned him.

"A pro hero? That's nice. Does he have a dojo still running currently?" Yuta asked.

"Maybe, maybe not." Was all Isshin said.

A taxi drove by as they stopped and paid the driver, giving him the location of their destination. The driver turned on the music and drove for two hours getting to their designated place.

"You should probably keep your guard up and eyes open because you might get attacked instantly and if he doesn't see any potential in you, then I'm sure he will send both of us back." Isshin warned Yuta again.

"You don't have to tell me since my instinct has been giving a warning signal to me." Yuta stated.

They both walked together as the day began to get darker and finally, they arrived at the location of Isshin's great master. Isshin gulped as he walked forward and knocked on the door but didn't get no response. He was about to knock again as he flew from his spot down to the floor.

'What just happened?' Yuta saw how Isshin was sent flying but didn't see the culprit.

"Long time no see, stubborn brat." The old man said as he massaged his white beards standing on the rooftop looking down at his visitors.

'How can an old man move so fast.' Yuta was confused but kept his guard to the maximum.

"And is that how you welcome your student you haven't seen in a while, old man?" Isshin fired back, dropping his luggage ready to take action.

"This is about to get interesting…." Yuta smiled in excitement...
