Chapter 11: Kakarot's Birth
The air crackled with energy as I stood in the center of my makeshift training arena, the grass beneath my boots shifting with each breath I took. The sun of Planet Vegeta bathed the landscape in a warm, golden light, The two moons around the planet had made things even more interesting, as I had made sure not to look at them while I was training.
"Are you ready?" I asked, my voice steady and resolute, my gaze locked onto the trio of light pink Saibamen that encircled me, their fierce eyes reflecting my own fiery spirit.
"Scree!" one of them responded, its high-pitched cry igniting the air with anticipation.
"Good," I muttered under my breath, my muscles tensing as I prepared myself for the battle ahead. "Let's see what you've got."
The first Saibaman lunged at me as if on cue, its razor-sharp claws slicing through the air with deadly precision. But I was ready As I moved my body, my years of street fighting on Earth kicked into gear as I sidestepped the attack.
Before the creature could recover, I retaliated with a swift, decisive kick, the force of my blow sending it sprawling across the arena.
"Pathetic!" I sneered, my confident grin widening as I fixed my gaze upon the first Saibaman, now sprawled helplessly on the ground. "I thought you were supposed to be a challenge!"
The creature hissed angrily in response, scrambling back onto its feet and baring its fangs at me. It was clear that it wouldn't back down easily, but neither would I.
As the first Saibaman growled menacingly, I allowed my focus to shift ever so slightly, my keen senses alert to the movements of the other two creatures. I had to make sure I wasn't caught off guard, even back on that planet I was caught off guard a few times and had gotten cuts, though I healed it would be better to not repeat that mistake again.
"Screeee!" The second Saibaman suddenly cried out, launching itself into the air. Its light pink form blurred a bit against the backdrop of Planet Vegeta's lush landscape, its razor-sharp claws poised to strike.
"Nice try," I murmured inwardly. As the Saibaman soared through the air towards me, I sidestepped its attack and reached out with one hand, seizing it firmly by the leg. With a triumphant grin, I swung the creature around and slammed it into the ground with a resounding thud.
"Ha! You'll have to do better than that!" I taunted.
The Saibaman bared its teeth and let out an eerie growl before lunging at me I barely managed to throw myself out of the way in time, my heart pounding as I felt the wind whip past my face from the force of its attack.
Saibaman unleashed a barrage of rapid-fire punches. I parried and dodged as best I could, feeling the sting of sweat as I fought all 3 of them at once.
My fists clenched, as I deftly blocked and countered the Saibaman's relentless barrage of strikes. Each clash of our limbs sent vibrations through my muscles as they began to become resistant to the damage.
"Too slow!" I taunted, my voice ringing with confidence as I sidestepped another blow.
"You're becoming predictable." And grabbed one of them and slammed them into another killing them both and only leaving the other one left alive. "Rrrgh!" The Saibaman snarled, frustration flickering across its features.
And it charged at me one more time, it's body was glowing as I raised a bubble around me.
kABOOM
A much larger explosion rang out. As the dust settled around me, my energy bubble had helped up and hadn't even cracked. The trees around me have been destroyed along with the ground.
Sighing as I looked around, maybe it was time I took a break. I had been out here for around two weeks now. While I had ran out of the food pellets, now it was time to eat some actual food. Floating up into the air as I flew towards Gine's house.
I looked over the forest I had been staying at for the last two weeks, until slowly it turned into houses and the outskirts of the city. As I reached Gine's house, I could feel her energy. It was small and gentle like a calm river.
There was another ki signature, this one even smaller and it was wilder. Raditzs.
As I landed outside their home, they were already outside. It seemed they were heading out somewhere. My dirty Saiyan armor gleamed in the soft light as my feet touched the ground.
Spotting Gine, her Saiyan tail swaying gently behind her. She had a warm and welcoming smile as she looked at me while Raditzs was standing next to her.
"Hey, Celera," Gine greeted her with a warm smile.
"Hey, what are you guys up too?" I smiled back as I held my hands behind my head.
"We're going to go see Kakarot my son" Her hand touching the top of Raditz's head. " would you like to join us?" Shit, was he already born?" For how long?
"Sure, I didn't know you had another kid," I commented as I walked beside them. Which caused her to laugh. "well bardock and I were busy before he and your aunt left for their mission. Given you were gone for over a year for yours, I'm not surprised you were not aware."
I nodded in agreement, I had pretty much kept to myself once I had made it back. And had been focusing on my training. But I wasn't getting any stronger, My Smart atoms were making it harder for me to grow since all I was doing was fighting saibamen and they weren't really forcing me into a life or death battle.
"oh you have become so strong already," Gine said surprised as she used her scouter on me.
"Indeed," Raditz chimed in, a rare smile breaking across his stern features. "You've come a long way in such a short time. But don't you get too cocky ill catch up with you soon enough,"
As we continued on our path, the medical facility came into view, its imposing structure casting long shadows across the barren ground. The hum of life-sustaining machinery grew louder as we entered the building, echoing through the sterile halls like a heartbeat.
"Kakarot is just through here," Gine murmured, her voice barely audible over the incessant drone of the machines. She led us to a room filled with child-raising pods, each containing a tiny, slumbering Saiyan infant.
Shit, I was back in here again. As we walked and made our way towards the row closer to the wall.
With a sense of confidence, Gine announced, "Here is my son, Kakarot," and there he was. a naked baby goku floating in his pod with light green liquid around his body.
As I looked upon the pod that held the most powerful warrior of the future, I couldn't help but feel amazed. I asked Gine, the one who took care of this incredible creation, "Excuse me, but how old is he now?"
With a warm smile, Gine placed her hand on the pod and replied, "He's one year old today." Using my ability to sense ki, he only had a power level of 2.
And from that, in the far future, I know he will become someone who will challenge the gods. I wanted to fight him so badly, but I'd have to wait. My eyes were fixed on the sleeping form of little Kakarot.
It was difficult to imagine how this tiny guy would one day possess the strength and power to rival the divine, and if he could do it so could I.
I gently placed my hand on Gine's hand, offering her a reassuring smile. "Your son will grow into a strong warrior, Gine."
"Thank you, Celera," Gine replied, her voice filled with gratitude and hope. Raditz nodded in agreement, his eyes still fixed on the sleeping baby. " He won't be stronger than me" He smiled.
As we left the medical facility, my mind wandered back to the battle I had fought earlier that day, my body still thrumming with adrenaline from the intense training session. The Saibamen were so much stronger than their base ones. I had made my enhanced one fight the base ones and it slaughtered them with ease.
"Hey, Celera," Raditz interrupted my thoughts, "I've heard that people are curious about your training sessions with the Saibamen."
I smiled in amusement at the idea of my training sessions sparking interest among our community. "I won't be sharing my training sessions with anyone, no matter how curious they are," I replied to Raditz. who looked annoyed that I had denied him before he could even ask.
Gine chimed in, "Given you and your team were the youngest team sent to claim a planet, Celera. It's no wonder people are talking."
"Thank you," I replied, feeling proud.
As I stepped out of the medical facility, the fading sunlight cast an orange glow over the bustling Saiyan city. The whispers that had followed me inside now grew into murmurs as a group of Saiyans gathered in front of the building. oh please say they wanted to fight me. A crazed smile grew on my face as I looked at them as a bald man walked towards me.
"Ah, Celera," said the resolute figure at the head of the group, his voice steady and strong. "We've been waiting for you." I recognized him as Nappa.
"Oh, and what do you want with me?" I nervously replied, excited at the thought of fighting someone much stronger than myself. His Ki signature was so much larger than mine.
He nodded at my question as he eyed me with a smirk. "we will accompany you on your way to the Queen. She has summoned you."
I glanced around at the assembled Saiyans, where they were here to bring me by force if I refused.
"Let's go then," I said, my voice confident.
