RWBY: Oscar the gamer

Chapter 61: Attack from all side part 2

Back with Oscar and his group.

Roman then spoke Looking at Team ROWBY. "Oh lady's did you forget about us".

Oscar looked at him as he spoke. "Right, we are in 3 way battle".

Oscar stood ready, watching as chaos unfolded around him. The battle was in full swing—Team ROWBY against the White Fang imposters, Roman Torchwick, and Neo. It was a three-way fight, and there was no telling who would come out on top.

Roman smirked as he fired his cane again, the shot whizzing past Oscar, who quickly rolled out of the way. Damn, he thought. Roman's unpredictability keeps me on edge.

Yang, eager to take on Roman, lunged at him. However, before she could land a punch, Neo blocked her attack, using her umbrella as both a shield and a weapon. The two exchanged quick blows, Neo's small frame belying the immense strength and agility she possessed. Yang gritted her teeth. "You really want to do this again, huh?"

Blake, too, was fighting with the imposter members of the White Fang. Her movements were fluid, each strike precise and deadly. She was in her element, but even she couldn't ignore the memories of her past as she fought alongside Team ROWBY.

Oscar, watching the scene unfold, gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. The battle was intense, but it was far from over. He couldn't let his guard down for a second. He quickly jumped into the fray, activating his [Fire Ball] skill, causing a large sphere of fire to form in his palm. But he wasn't done yet. With a swift motion, he combined his [Wind Slash] with the fireball, creating an even more powerful attack. The fireball sped towards a group of ten White Fang imposters, who scrambled to avoid it.

The explosion was deafening, and Oscar's heart pounded as he watched the aftermath. Several of the imposters were knocked down, but the fight wasn't over. Far from it.

"Stay sharp!" Oscar called out to his team, sweat dripping down his face. "We've got to finish this fast!"

Ruby, meanwhile, was still eyeing Roman, her scythe ready. "You really think you can get away, Roman? Not this time!" she shouted, her voice full of determination.

Roman chuckled darkly. "Oh, Red, you never learn," he said, dodging her attacks with agility. "But if you think you can stop me, you're in for a rude awakening!"

The battle raged on with no clear victor yet. The White Fang imposters were getting desperate, Roman and Neo kept dodging and attacking with precision, and Team ROWBY was working in tandem to keep the momentum in their favor. The outcome of this fight would come down to who could outlast the other.

Oscar took a deep breath and gripped Crimson Fang tighter. "Let's end this," he muttered under his breath, preparing himself for the next wave of attacks. The battle was far from over, and they had no choice but to give it their all.

The group then heard flying, as they looked up too see 3 bullhead, The scene was chaotic as the bullheads circled above, dropping Roman's men and opening fire. Weiss immediately reacted, summoning an ice wall to protect them, but the sheer force of the firepower was too much. Without hesitation, Oscar used his [Fire Wall] to create another barrier of flames to complement Weiss's ice, combining their efforts to shield the group.

Oscar's eyes narrowed as he looked up at the descending bullheads, frustration building. "What the hell?" he muttered, cursing under his breath. Where's that damn clone?

He scanned the area, and just as he was about to ask himself again, he spotted a figure moving through the chaos. There, emerging from the shadows, was the White Mask. But this was no ordinary enemy. It wasn't the original White Mask, but a clone—an illusionary copy created using his [Shadow Clone] skill.

Oscar smirked, recognizing his own handiwork. "Yeah, we got help," he said aloud, pride evident in his tone.

Ruby's eyes widened with recognition. "That's him! The new Vigilante!" she exclaimed, pointing at the figure of the White Mask.

The clone, now fully revealed as the White Mask, pulled out the sword that Oscar had personally given it. The blade was pure black, with a golden dragon design engraved along the edge, and two dust crystals embedded in the hilt. It was a sword Oscar had bought from the system, specifically for moments like this. Even though it was a duplicate of the sword in his inventory, it was still a formidable weapon.

Roman Torchwick, who had been observing the arrival of the clone, let out a scoff. "Ah, White Mask, how will you take them out?" he taunted.

The White Mask clone didn't speak immediately. Instead, a cold voice—distinctly feminine—cut through the noise. "He doesn't need to," she said, her words carrying a strange sense of authority.

Before anyone could react, a massive green laser shot out from the distance, obliterating one of the approaching bullheads in a spectacular explosion. The wreckage crashed into a nearby warehouse, but the voice came again, offering a sense of reassurance. "Don't worry, that warehouse was already empty."

Oscar's eyes widened in disbelief. He cursed under his breath. "Please... don't let it be her..." he muttered as he turned to look at the source of the destruction.

To his horror, standing amidst the wreckage was none other than Penny Polendina. His heart sank. Why is my stalker here?!

Penny's cheerful voice rang out as she floated toward them, her familiar swords floating behind her in a strange, defying-physics manner. Oscar stared at the floating blades, trying to process how they were hovering with such precision. How did the system explain this? he thought frantically, trying to figure out what had changed or if Penny had unlocked some new ability.

Penny, oblivious to Oscar's inner turmoil, grinned brightly at the group. "Hi, guys! I hope I'm not interrupting anything!"

Oscar's brain scrambled for a response. I swear, it's like she knows exactly when to show up...

Ruby, on the other hand, was excited to see Penny, even though she had no idea about the connection between Penny and Oscar's other identity. "Penny! You're here!" Ruby exclaimed with enthusiasm.

Oscar sighed heavily, mentally trying to prepare himself for the next set of complications. There was no escaping Penny's persistence now. Why does she always have to pop up at the worst times? he thought, hoping that this time, things wouldn't spiral further into madness.

Penny floated down gracefully, her swords spinning around her in a protective formation. Her eyes gleamed with excitement as she waved energetically at Ruby, who was practically bouncing with joy.

"I'm so glad to see you all!" Penny chirped, completely oblivious to the chaos surrounding them. "I saw the fight from up there and thought I'd help out!"

Oscar watched the scene unfold, rubbing the back of his neck in exasperation. Of course she'd show up now… he thought, half in disbelief and half in resignation. Penny had always been persistent, but this time, it felt like she was pulling all the strings to get herself into the middle of things.

"Don't worry, Penny. You just made the situation... a lot more complicated," Oscar muttered to himself, but he knew there was no turning back now. He had to focus. There were still Roman's men to deal with, Adam was on the scene, and everything was spiraling faster than he could process.

Roman, always quick with his biting remarks, narrowed his eyes at Penny's sudden appearance. "Well, well... Looks like the little princess has arrived to play," he sneered, motioning for his men to stay on guard. "This is going to be interesting."

Ruby, sensing the tension, glanced nervously at Oscar before turning to Penny. "You're sure you can handle this, right?" she asked, not wanting to let their newest ally get overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies.

Penny gave Ruby a thumbs-up. "Of course! I'm stronger than I look!" she said with an infectious grin.

The White Mask clone, standing tall with his black sword in hand, seemed to wait for something before making his next move. Oscar could feel the energy in the air change, sensing that the clone was ready for action.

Suddenly, without warning, the clone dashed forward, cutting through several of Roman's men with precise, calculated strikes. The sound of clashing blades echoed through the docks as he carved his way toward the remaining thugs. Meanwhile, Neo floated in the background, using her umbrella to block attacks and counter with deadly precision.

Oscar, now focused on the battlefield again, stood firm beside Weiss, who had already begun summoning glyphs to aid them in the fight. Yang charged toward the remaining thugs, her fists glowing with fiery energy, as Blake darted in and out of the shadows, picking off enemies with her dual weapons.

Oscar didn't wait long before joining in, using his [Infernal Cleave] again, but this time, he added a twist. Instead of simply unleashing the fiery wave of energy, he combined it with [Wind Slash], propelling the attack forward in an even more devastating blast. The fireball shot through the air like a rocket, tearing through several enemies who were foolish enough to get in its path.

"How's that for teamwork?" Oscar grinned, already feeling the rush of adrenaline.

But as the fight continued to intensify, his eyes kept flicking to Adam, who had been eerily quiet after his last encounter with Oscar. Adam had yet to make a move, but Oscar could feel the tension. Blake's reaction to him had not gone unnoticed, and Oscar had no doubt that Adam was just waiting for the right moment to strike.

Blake, now aware of Adam's presence and still visibly shaken, took a few steps back, her hand gripping the hilt of her weapon. "Oscar... you've got to be careful," she warned, her voice low. "He's dangerous."

Oscar nodded, but his gaze never left Adam. "Don't worry, Blake. I've dealt with worse." He then whispered to himself, "I hope."

Suddenly, Adam made his move, charging at the team with blinding speed. Oscar raised his sword, meeting Adam's attack head-on, the sound of their blades clashing sending a shockwave through the air. The impact nearly threw Oscar off balance, but he stood firm, his grip tightening on his sword as he locked eyes with Adam.

"You've grown stronger," Adam remarked, a twisted smile on his face. "But it won't be enough."

Oscar's eyes narrowed as he took a deep breath. "We'll see about that."

The clash between them continued, sparks flying as their weapons collided in rapid succession. Meanwhile, the rest of Team ROWBY continued their fight, but Oscar knew that this was the real battle—one that would determine not only his strength but also the fate of everyone around him.

As the sounds of battle filled the air, Penny's cheerful voice rang out again. "Oscar! I'll handle the bullheads!" she called, her floating swords already charging up with energy. Without waiting for a response, she zoomed toward the remaining ships, ready to put her skills to use.

Oscar gave a quick nod, then focused his attention back on Adam. I need to end this fast, he thought, readying himself for the next strike. The fight was far from over, and with Penny on their side, things had just become even more unpredictable.

But one thing was clear: the tides of battle had shifted, and Oscar was ready to fight until the very end.

Oscar then used his Infernal Claymore, as he uses [Infernal Cleave], as then Penny fire her green lager as it hit the final bull head, as then ground, as the ground collapsed, as then Team ROWBY, and Penny ran they made away, as they saw the ground collapsed and gets destroyed, as then the oscar saw his clone as it used Shadow step to desiper, as everyone sighed

Few minutes later.

The cops had arrived, as they check for injury or anything, as meanwhile Penny was taken away from different people, as for team ROWBY they were getting and ear full my Glynda, as Ozpin was also there.

The scene was chaotic but controlled as the officers and emergency personnel arrived, carefully assessing the aftermath of the battle. Penny was immediately surrounded by concerned individuals, with some trying to get her away from the immediate danger zone. She didn't seem to mind though, greeting everyone with her usual, bubbly demeanor as she waved at the officers.

Meanwhile, Team ROWBY was gathered in the middle of the wreckage, visibly worn out but mostly unscathed. However, there was a palpable tension in the air as Glynda Goodwitch stormed towards them, her face stern and her wand in hand. Behind her, Ozpin watched silently, his expression unreadable.

"Do you all have any idea what you just did?!" Glynda's voice was sharp as she approached them, the weight of the situation bearing down on her. "This is a full-scale disaster! People could've been hurt!"

Ruby quickly stood in front of her team, hands raised in a defensive gesture. "We did what we had to do, Professor!" she protested. "We stopped Roman and the White Fang imposter, and... Penny showed up to help, too."

Glynda crossed her arms, visibly trying to calm herself. "I understand that, but this is far from an acceptable level of response," she said, eyes shifting to Penny. "And Penny! What exactly were you thinking, showing up like this without any coordination?"

Penny seemed unfazed by the reprimand. "I just wanted to help! I thought I could take down the bullheads before they could do any more damage. I'm sorry if I caused any trouble," she said cheerfully, though it was clear she was still a little lost in the enormity of the situation.

Oscar, who had been watching the exchange quietly, exchanged a glance with Blake. They both understood that this wasn't going to end well.

Ozpin finally spoke, his calm tone cutting through the tension. "Glynda, while your concerns are valid, we should focus on the bigger picture," he said, his voice steady but firm. "The White Fang has become more reckless, and this situation is just a glimpse of what we're up against."

Glynda turned to Ozpin, taking a deep breath before nodding, albeit reluctantly. "You're right. I'm just frustrated because we've had so many close calls, and I can't help but feel like we're not prepared for the worst."

Oscar cleared his throat, stepping forward. "Professor, we did our best to handle the situation. We'll take full responsibility for the chaos, but I can assure you, we did what was necessary to protect Vale."

Glynda looked at Oscar, her eyes sharp but thoughtful. "I don't doubt your skills, Oscar, but there's something much larger at play here. The White Fang, Roman, and even the mysterious figure that calls himself the White Mask... they're all part of a growing problem that I fear is beyond what we've seen."

Oscar glanced down, the weight of her words sinking in. "We know... we'll deal with it."

Glynda softened her expression slightly, her posture loosening. "I hope so. But this isn't over. Not by a long shot."

The group fell into an uneasy silence, all of them feeling the weight of the situation. While they had won the battle, it was clear the war was far from over.

Finally, Ozpin spoke, his gaze shifting from one member of the group to the next. "There's something more that's been set in motion here. Roman Torchwick, the imposter White Fang, and now the appearance of someone... like the White Mask." He paused, looking thoughtfully into the distance. "I think it's time we reevaluate our next steps."

Ruby stepped forward, fists clenched with determination. "Whatever it takes, we'll stop them."

Oscar nodded firmly, his resolve solidifying. "We'll fight. Together."

Blake gave a small but resolute nod, while Yang grinned, already itching for the next fight. Weiss, though quiet, gave a small approving nod to her teammates, showing that despite her typical stoic nature, she was ready to back them up.

The team was ready. They'd just have to face whatever came next, knowing that the road ahead would be filled with even greater challenges.

And so, with the sun beginning to set behind the remnants of the ruined docks, Team ROWBY and their allies stood together, knowing that the fight for Vale—and possibly more—was far from over.

Ozpin then spoke. "But here is your punishment, you all will be suspended for 1 month return to your homes and you guardian will know about this".

The weight of Ozpin's words hit the team like a ton of bricks. For a moment, no one spoke. Team ROWBY had faced countless dangers together, but hearing that they were being suspended for an entire month felt like a sudden, sharp blow.

Glynda crossed her arms again, her expression unreadable, but there was a hint of disappointment in her gaze. "This is not just about the damage done," she said, her tone softer now. "This is about the consequences of acting without full authority. You are all more capable than this, but you must understand that these kinds of decisions have serious implications."

Ruby opened her mouth to protest, but Ozpin raised a hand, silencing her gently. "Ruby, I know you all did what you believed was right. However, this decision isn't just about you—it's about the safety of everyone in Vale and the larger fight we are facing. You must learn that sometimes, the consequences of our actions are not immediately visible, but they can ripple through everything we do."

Yang punched the ground lightly in frustration. "But... a whole month? That feels way too long for something we couldn't control!"

Blake placed a hand on Yang's shoulder, trying to calm her. "I get that it's unfair. But we can't change the decision now. We'll make the most of this time."

Weiss, on the other hand, remained silent, her eyes fixed on the ground as she processed the news. The thought of returning home to her family, of facing her father after everything that had happened, filled her with anxiety.

Oscar, noticing the tension building between his teammates, stepped forward again. "Professor, I understand. We didn't mean to cause this much chaos. We'll accept the punishment and try to use the time wisely."

Ozpin looked at him carefully, and for a brief moment, there was a flicker of something behind his glasses—perhaps understanding. "I appreciate that, Oscar," he said softly. "But remember, the next time you act outside of the bounds of the law, it may not be as easy to correct. Take this time to reflect on your actions."

Penny, who had been silently observing the exchange, finally spoke up, her voice as bright as ever. "I'll make sure not to cause more trouble!" she declared, grinning as she raised her hand. "But... is it really that bad? I thought you were all so strong, and you stopped them!"

Oscar chuckled softly despite the gravity of the situation. "It's complicated, Penny. Even when we win, there are consequences. But don't worry, we'll be okay."

"Good," Penny smiled, looking around at the group. "I'm sure everything will work out!"

After a few more moments of awkward silence, Ozpin finally spoke again. "You are dismissed. Go home, get some rest, and reflect. I expect to see you all return with the right mindset when the time comes."

As the team slowly began to disperse, their heads hung low, each of them lost in their own thoughts about the month-long suspension they would have to endure. There was a sense of resignation in the air, but also a quiet determination. They wouldn't let this setback stop them from preparing for what was to come. They knew that the battles ahead would be harder, and that no amount of time off would make the fight any less dangerous.

Blake was the first to speak, her voice low and thoughtful. "A month... It's a long time. But I'll use it to train more, to make sure I'm better prepared."

Yang, though still frustrated, gave a short nod. "I guess we can't do much about it now. A month off isn't the worst thing... at least we can catch our breath."

Ruby, ever the optimist, grinned, trying to lift everyone's spirits. "Hey, maybe we'll come back even stronger after a month of rest and training! We'll be unstoppable!"

Weiss simply nodded, her arms crossed as she thought about what she could do during the time off. "I'll focus on refining my combat techniques."

Oscar, who had been quietly reflecting on his own situation, met Ruby's gaze. "Yeah, we'll come back ready. But... I think I need to figure out some things too. About my past, about this new 'White Mask' persona... there's a lot I don't understand yet."

The team silently agreed, each of them lost in their own thoughts about the challenges that lay ahead. With Ozpin's warning in mind, they knew they had to take the time to rest and reflect, but they couldn't afford to stop pushing forward. They had bigger battles to face, and they would need to be ready for anything.

As they began to walk toward the exit, Glynda's voice stopped them briefly. "Remember," she said, "You're being sent home not just to rest, but to reflect on your decisions. Use this time wisely."

The group exchanged glances, and though the punishment weighed heavily on them, they understood. There would be no more reckless decisions. They would return ready for whatever came next.

As they stepped out into the cool evening air, they could feel the weight of the world pressing down on them, but they also knew that, together, they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

The mission wasn't over yet.
