Chapter 31: White Bitch
[Boarding Area - 10:00 a.m.]
In the boarding area for the Bullheads, a young boarding agent struggles to maintain her composure as she faces another one of those difficult days. Her task, in theory, should be simple: manage the boarding of passengers to the Bullheads. But, unfortunately for her, today she has to deal with the worst type of customer: rich and insufferable. She has faced several of them throughout the morning, but now she's dealing with a new one, a young, attractive, well-dressed man, yet just as unreasonable.
"Sir, I've already explained that animals are not allowed," she says, forcing a smile as she tries to reason with him.
To which the passenger, in response, looks at her with disdain, as if he's just seen something revolting.
"And I already told you that this animal has a name. It's called Aegis, and it's my emotional support animal," he replies, his tone heavy with contempt, accompanied by that haughty look so characteristic of the wealthy.
The agent glances at the creature. A knot forms in her stomach as she tries not to let her disgust show.
"What the hell is that?" she thinks. "Is that a lobster? A rainbow lobster, maybe? It's in a bag, like it's some damn dog."
The agent sighs inwardly. "The rich and their extravagant tastes. Why can't they be normal and have a dog or a cat, like any other person?"
"Sir," she says again, this time with an even softer tone, almost submissive, one she knows works with these kinds of people. "I insist, animals are not allowed. There are regulations, and you could face a fine if they see you with your..." she pauses, eyeing the creature. "... emotional support animal on the premises."
The creature, as if it could sense they were talking about it, hisses in her direction, releasing a small amount of foam from its mouth. The agent feels a shiver run down her spine.
"Ugh! Disgusting!" she thinks, pressing her lips together in disgust and trying not to look at the thing too much. Every time her gaze falls on it, she feels an increasing discomfort that makes her want to step away, but she knows she must remain professional.
As if he had already understood the problem, he reaches into his bag. "You should've said so earlier," the customer says, pulling out a wad of cash. Without a second thought or hesitation, he uses it to slap the attendant across the face. She, ever the professional, doesn't react; not a single finger twitches, nor does she utter a word.
"I hope this is enough," the customer adds, and, without waiting for any response, walks past her and boards the Bullhead. The agent stands there, her gaze empty. "The saddest part of all this," she thinks, "is that he's not the first person today to slap me with a wad of bills." After a few seconds, she bends down and quickly picks up the money before the next passenger appears.
When she finishes, she realizes there's another customer. Putting on her best smile, she begins her introduction. "Good morning, welcome to the VIP boarding lounge for the Beacon Academy facilities…" Her words stop when she sees the woman. She's a lady around 45 years old, quite unkempt, covered in jewelry, and worst of all: she has some sort of iguana on a leash.

The agent takes a deep breath, gathering all her strength. Determined, she pulls herself together and speaks. "I'm sorry to inform you that animals are not allowed on the Beacon facilities. There are regulations, and you'll face a fine if…"
"BAM!"
She falls silent as the woman slaps her with another wad of bills while ignoring her and boarding the Bullhead. "Another day of my life," the boarding agent thinks. "Another day earning minimum wage while being slapped with what would easily be my salary for a year." The boarding agent did not cry that night, and anyone who says otherwise is lying.
[Beacon Academy Tower]
From his office, Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy, silently watches the fundraising event unfold on the screens in front of him. On one of them, a corpulent woman — to put it as politely as possible — slaps an employee with a wad of bills. Ozpin, with his expressionless face, takes a sip from his cup, unfazed by the scene.
Ozpin does not like or support the actions of these people. The rich, in general, follow the same pattern: they are arrogant, have more money than common sense, and believe the world revolves around them. Despite this, Beacon needs that money. It has always been this way. These aristocrats, businessmen, and figures of power are a reliable source of funding. Though, to be honest, they don't care about the Academy or its students. Most are here for the tax deductions or the false facade of altruism. Donating to a respected school like Beacon provides them with a favorable public image "as if they care about something other than their own gain," Ozpin thinks as he watches the same scene unfold with another person.
"At least I don't have to expose my students to this environment," Ozpin mutters to himself as the screens shift from the boarding area to the classrooms and training zones, all empty. There are no students at the moment, as they are enjoying their break between semesters, making this the perfect time for the event.
Ozpin takes another sip from his cup. "Three more slaps, and the students will have a new training room. A small price to pay for keeping the Academy with the best facilities and the best for its students."
[Bullhead – 10:20 am]
Aegis, who is tucked inside Daniel's bag, pokes its head out and looks at its companion. "Not that I care," Aegis begins in an indifferent tone, "but was it really necessary to slap her with a wad of bills?" Although it doesn't affect him at all, there's something in his tone that shows a mild interest in knowing why Daniel acts this way.
Daniel turns his head and shoots Aegis a look. "Totally necessary," he replies without hesitation. "I saw some old rich lady do the same to another employee, and honestly, I don't want to stand out." Aegis watches him in silence for a moment, sensing something in his response. "You're lying," Aegis finally says.
Daniel doesn't deny the accusation. "Yeah, I'm lying," he admits without remorse.
With that, silence settles between them, and neither of them says another word. Daniel leans back in his seat, relaxes, and closes his eyes, mentally going over all the details of the plan. For him, this is the calm before the storm. Unfortunately, his rest doesn't last long.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Suddenly, a loud, annoying voice interrupts his brief break.
Daniel opens one eye, and to his surprise, he sees someone he had already forgotten about: the white bitch. He watches her, her face furious, her white hair as snow, her white dress, and her equally pale skin. By the look on her face, she seems to still be the same bitch… and just as white.
"DID I ASK YOU WHAT YOU'RE DOING HERE?!" Weiss screams, her face completely red with fury. She stomps her foot on the floor, as if she's tired of waiting for an answer.
Daniel, unfazed, looks at her for a second and then slowly closes his eyes again. "What do you think I'm doing? Trying to rest, can't you see?" he replies, clearly irritated by the interruption.
That response only serves to irritate Weiss even more. She glares at him. "You shouldn't be here!" she yells, her eyes blazing with rage. "This is a tour for investors, aristocrats..."
Daniel interrupts her with a sardonic smile. "Or for those who can afford the ticket," he says with disdain.
"YOU!? Low-class scum, do you really think they'll believe you can afford a ticket?" Weiss screams, clearly more furious.
Weiss's expression tightens even more. Frustrated, she turns to go find security. However, she stops abruptly when the Bullhead takes off, and a flight attendant approaches her, wearing a professional smile on his face.
"I'll have to ask you to take a seat, Miss Schnee," the attendant says, looking at her and pointing to the seat in front of Daniel.
'I ORDERED THEM TO TURN AROUND!' Weiss screams, pointing at Daniel with her finger. "He's a stowaway!"
The attendant looks where she's pointing and meets Daniel's gaze. "Miss, I assure you, the young gentleman is not a stowaway," the attendant responds calmly. "I'll have to ask you to sit down."
Weiss, annoyed, shifts her gaze and meets Daniel's eyes. He gives her a wave with his hand in greeting, accompanied by a mocking smile. She furrows her brow even more, gritting her teeth with a growl. Finally, she sits down in front of Daniel, unable to hide the frustration on her face.
"YOU!? Low-class scum, do you really think they'll believe you can afford a ticket?" Weiss yells again, her fury growing.
Weiss's expression tenses even more, frustrated. She turns to go look for security again, but after taking a few steps, she stops abruptly. The Bullhead has just taken off, and a flight attendant approaches her with a professional smile on his face, showing no sign of disturbance.
"I'll have to ask you to take a seat, Miss Schnee," the attendant says, observing her calmly while pointing to the seat in front of Daniel.
"I ORDERED YOU TO TURN AROUND!" Weiss screams, pointing at Daniel with her finger. "He's a stowaway!"
The attendant, unshaken, looks where she's pointing and meets Daniel's gaze. "Miss, I assure you, the young gentleman is not a stowaway," the attendant responds without losing his professional tone. "I'll have to ask you to take a seat."
Weiss turns her gaze and meets Daniel's eyes. He waves his hand in greeting, accompanied by a mocking smile. She furrows her brow even more, and with a growl, she clenches her teeth. Finally, she sits down in front of Daniel, unable to hide the frustration reflected on her face.
Her face remains tense, her brow furrowed. "He acts like he doesn't know what he did," Weiss thinks, glaring at the indifferent bastard who's whispering something to the mantis shrimp. "Wait, mantis shrimp?" Weiss reacts to the creature in his bag, which distracts her briefly. Weiss had seen some before, but she'd never been able to touch one. She liked the idea of doing so, but in that moment, she remembered who she was sitting with. "NO! I hate it," she repeats to herself.
Her mind starts to spiral, replaying painful memories. "He ruined my image, my relationship with my younger brother," she thinks, as the memories come rushing back. The rumors spread quickly about her. "Weiss Schnee, the heiress who enjoys tricking men into sleeping with her." And then, the images of Aiden in the mud, which only made everything worse. "My sister scolded me, my brother couldn't even look me in the face. My mother... as always, ignored me. And my father was the worst. He told me he didn't care what I did, but if I did, I should do it quietly."
Just remembering those words tears her apart inside—thinking that people would believe she could do something like that. And all of it, absolutely everything, because of that bastard sitting in front of her.
As Weiss gets lost in those thoughts, a snack cart passes by her, and hating people makes her hungry. "I want one," she thinks, tempted by the sweet scent. Before she can decide to take one, Daniel steps forward and stops the cart with a snap of his fingers.
"Is this free?" Daniel asks, looking at the attendant curiously.
"Uh... yes," the attendant responds, somewhat confused, as he moves the cart so Daniel can see the products better.
"Okay," Daniel responds with a smile, extending both hands toward the snacks and starting to take everything the cart has.
The attendant watches him, incredulous. Daniel, not looking away, stares back at him as he continues taking everything the cart has.
"What? Is there a problem?!" Daniel asks, raising an eyebrow, his tone challenging.
The attendant stammers, unsure of what to do. "N-no, I don't..."
"Because if you have a problem, we can go to the back and settle it with fists," Daniel says, his voice dripping with venom. The attendant, visibly scared, takes a step back, quickly retreating.
"AND REMEMBER! IF ANYONE ASKS WHO DID IT, TELL THEM IT WAS WEISS SCHNEE'S PERSONAL BITCH!" Daniel shouts as the man runs off.
Daniel's words echo throughout the ship: all the passengers, the attendants, and even the pilot hear him.
Weiss is left in shock, unable to react. A hot flush rises on her cheeks, the shame consumes her, but she doesn't know how to handle the situation. Her mind races a thousand miles an hour, but the words won't come out.
Daniel, still stuffing snacks and cookies into his bag, lifts his gaze and sees Weiss staring at him intently, eyes wide open, clearly mortified.
"What?" Daniel asks, not understanding why she's looking at him. "For what this trip costs, they're lucky I don't take the seat."
"Just shut up," Weiss says, bringing two fingers to her temple. "Your voice gives me a headache." She tries to focus on anything else while thinking about how a trip she had eagerly awaited to see the Hunter Academy could go so wrong.
Those words seem to offend Daniel. "My voice? Annoying? Please," he responds with a disdainful smile. "My voice is so melodic it could lead a group of sailors to their doom without effort."
Weiss doesn't respond. She closes her eyes, trying to maintain composure.
"You know" Daniel continues, leaning slightly toward her. "I've been thinking a lot about you lately, in fact, I wrote you a song." As he says this, he calmly pulls out a harmonica from his bag.
Weiss cracks an eye open, suspecting what's coming. "Please, don't sing," she says, her tone bordering on exhaustion.
"Don't even want to hear a little bit?"
"No," Weiss responds, her tone dry and sharp. Her gaze is the definition of "don't even try."
"Too bad!!!"

[Days earlier…]
Daniel is sitting on a couch, clearly frustrated, as he compulsively checks his scroll. "She's not answering..." he murmurs, typing rapidly. It's been seven days since he left his prized weapon with Ruby to make a new handle. "I'm no weapon expert," he says, looking at Neo and Aegis, who are engrossed in a card game and don't seem to care in the slightest. "But how long can it take to make a handle? For a rapier, huh? Not that long, right?"
Neo shrugs without lifting her eyes from her cards, and Aegis simply ignores Daniel while adjusting his game pieces.
"At least she could return my messages," Daniel insists, letting out a sigh. "Or her sister. I messaged her too!"
Suddenly, Neo slams her cards onto the table in frustration and gets up, visibly annoyed. She just lost another hand.
"Thanks, Neo. I love how empathetic you are with my problems," Daniel comments sarcastically. Neo responds by flipping him the middle finger, not bothering to look at him.
Daniel decides to ignore that and leans forward. "Well, I guess you're wondering why I called you here, huh?"
Neo raises an eyebrow, makes a circle with one hand, and begins repeatedly sticking her other finger in and out of the circle she made.
"No! But nice try," Daniel says. Neo crosses her arms, clearly irritated and without anything positive to say.
Daniel pulls out the healing bat he got from one of his gacha pulls and hands it to Neo. She takes it and shakes it a few times.
"Well, I need you to hit me repeatedly with it," Daniel explains, pointing to his body.
"If you're wondering why, the answer is simple: it's to—"
He doesn't finish the sentence. Neo is already hitting him hard in the side.
"AH! I-IT'S...! AHH! YOU BITCH!" Daniel screams as he falls to the ground, writhing. "It's to train my resistanceaaaah!"
BAM! BAM!
Neo hits him enthusiastically, aiming for his body except for his face. Daniel instinctively covers his head, screaming between the impacts.
"AND TO TRAIN MY HAKI!" he manages to say between gasps.
From the table, Aegis calmly counts his money, ignoring the chaos. "I don't think she's listening to you," he says without taking his eyes off the cards. "I also don't think she knows what haki is."
BAM! BAM!
The day improved for Neo 😃

Author's note: What a stupid chapter, but I had fun, and that's a personal win. If anyone's wondering why the MC is such an asshole, it's simple: he's always been like that, just not with people who could actually screw him over.
Anyway, I should make an R-18 chapter with Glynda or Weiss. I'd love to see the MC with telekinesis .
