Rising up from a Nobleman to Intergalactic Warlord!!

Chapter 152: Chapter 152

Hearing the screams of petrified civilians as we drew near, the large robot came into view once we were outside the Market District. Standing sixty feet tall, the Mecha Godzilla wannabe was tearing through the Trades District like a rambunctious child. Letting civilians flee unabated, it appeared far more interested in the explosions it was creating than in hurting people. Uncertain how such a massive robot got here, as they did not build machines like this on the station, the answer soon became clear as we stepped onto the main roadway.

Chewing out the Devilukean soldiers, an adult Princess Lala, and Zastin, the head of Artemis' security forces was none too happy about the shitshow unfolding aboard his station. Demanding they fix this problem immediately, he also wanted to know how this happened in the first place. Suggesting Lala did this to spite them, since they lent a hand in tracking her down, Artemis' security guards and Lala's security team began slowly reaching for their weapons.

"Lala-sama, I beg you, please turn off your machine!", Zastin pleaded, as several more buildings were destroyed. "I truly understand that you were vehemently against this marriage meeting from the beginning, but this is far too much. Innocent bystanders are being harmed here, and people are losing their livelihoods."

"I did not do this on purpose, I swear it!", Lala refuted, with a saddened expression, "I was trying to retrieve Pyon-Pyon Warp-Kun from my D-Dial when one of the station's security guards tackled me. During the ensuing scuffle, my D-Dial broke, and somehow it retrieved Boom-Boom Dino-Kun from storage. Without my D-Dial, I do not have a way to recall."

Upon hearing that one of the security guards tackled their princess, the Devilukeans began cursing and shouting at the security team. Blaming them for this entire mess, another heated argument broke out between the groups.

"Are they fucking serious right now…?", Bo-Katan groaned, watching the civilians running around absentmindedly, "The district is ablaze, and they want to bicker over it? The broadcasted messages alone are not sufficient enough to evacuate the district."

"Victor, how do you want to handle this?", Angelica asked me.

"Can I leave civilian evacuation and crowd control to all of you? Once the area is clear, I will take out the robot myself.", I told them, "Olivia, we will treat the injured once things have settled down."

"Can I try fighting the robot?!", Tohru requested, eagerly jumping up and down. "I can take it!"

"Oh hell no!", Elma snapped, "The last time you fought someone, the two of you leveled a whole mountainside. If you pull that here, lots of people are going to die."

Recalling that fight, Tohru hung her head in defeat and reluctantly agreed to follow my request. Assuring the dragoness that there would be other opportunities to fight in the near future, I promised to let her join us when the time came. Thanking me enthusiastically, the group took one of the side streets to avoid getting pulled into the spat between the hot-headed groups.

"Why the hell would you build such a monstrous robot? You are a bloody princess for heaven's sake, not a damn mad scientist!", the head of security snapped, glaring at Lala, "No matter how you frame this, it was the Devilukeans fault this happened. Had they kept their charge on a tighter leash, this entire situation would have never happened. If you can stop this rampaging machine now, we will let you off with only paying for the damages and loss of life."

"I completely understand; we accept your proposal!", Zastin immediately agreed, wanting to avoid a large-scale battle breaking out between their groups. "Lala-sama, since your D-Dial is broken, how should we shut it down?"

"Well… His controller is still in my D-Dial, so stopping him remotely is not an option. The only other way would be to destroy him, but even then, his Luna Titanium hull will make that extremely difficult.", Lala stated, running out of ideas, "How about abandoning the station and moving somewhere else?"

Enraged by her playful suggestion, the head of security's patience ran out. Knowing that laying hands on Lala would be a grave mistake, as she was a foreign leader's daughter, he went with the next best thing. Turning his frustration and rage on Zastin, the security chief lunged at him like a rabid dog, dragging the bodyguard to the ground. Proceeding to pummel him, while their men began fighting with one another, Lala's AI companion turned to her with a disapproving expression.

"Lala-sama, please take this matter seriously.", Peke scolded her, as Zastin pleaded with the security chief to stop and talk this out. "There must be another way to stop Boom-Boom Dino-Kun."

"Removing his power source would also work, but that would require us to get inside. Without his controller, opening the access door is nearly impossible.", Lala stated, "I could also try repairing my D-Dial too, but I do not have parts or tools to use."

Stopping Zastin's beating, after hearing there was no other way to stop it, the security chief staggered to his feet and commanded his men to disengage immediately.

"Since we cannot stop it, I am ordering a complete evacuation of the station!", the security chief barked, with a bitter expression, "That giant robot is on course to reach the reactor core by the end of the day. Before he has the chance to destroy it, I want every man, woman, and child off this station. Have people take only what they can carry and make their way toward the shelters immediately!"

"Wait a moment, I believe I can assist you with taking the robot down.", I interjected, before anyone had the chance to leave, "Princess Lala, is the machine made of pure Luna Titanium or a derivative of it?"

Turning around to answer my question, Lala nearly bumped into me by accident. Taking several steps back so she could look at my face, her eyes began to sparkle with intrigue when she saw me.

"Holy cow, I had no idea humans could get that big!", Lala laughed, "You are a literal giant!!"

"Lala-sama, focus on answering his question!", Peke chided her again.

"I am sorry, teehee!", Lala giggled, with a cutie smile, "Boom-Boom Dino-Kun's hull is constructed of ceramic composite Luna Titanium. Everything else would have blown my budget, and my father dislikes it when I go over my allowance."

"Oh, this will be a cakewalk then.", I chuckled, transforming my right arm into a sonic beam cannon. "Roxanne, how is the evacuation coming?"

(AN: Think of it as a weapon that focuses specific frequencies of sound on a target.)

"Almost done, just need another two minutes.", Roxanne answered over the radio.

Having assumed most of the district was nearly empty, when he heard there were still many civilians still here, the security chief flew into a panic. Ordering his men to execute a thorough sweep of the area, he regretted not verifying things before getting into a heated argument with the Devilukeans.

"So, mysterious giant man, how do you plan on taking out Boom-Boom Dino-Kun?", Lala inquired, darting around me as she sought to understand how my armor worked. "Is that thing on your right arm a high-powered pulse cannon? Oh, maybe it is a charged particle cannon!"

"It is a Sonic Beam Cannon.", I answered, making the necessary adjustments to the weapon. "I have it configured to match the metal's resonant frequency."

"Oh, I see!! You could easily break anything if you approached it from that angle.", Lala remarked, with an impressed look.

"Just to confirm, the power source is not explosive or radioactive, right?", I questioned.

"Nope, it powered by an unknow metal I found in our family's treasure vault.", Lala answered, much to Zastin's dismay.

"Lala-sama!!", Zastin wailed, "Your father and mother have instructed you on multiple occasions not to break into the treasure vault. There are many dangerous items in there that should never be taken outside."

Playfully bonking herself on the head, Lala pretended to have never heard that warning before. Hanging his head in despair, I felt bad for Zastin because he had to deal with three crazy sisters and a lazy emperor. Wanting to wrap this up and get out of here, before something else happened, the moment I got the green light from my group, I fired the cannon at the mech. Striking it in the middle of its back, the weapon took only a few moments to begin showing results.

"I can see the power supply!", Bo-Katan shouted as the weapon blasted a clean hole through the armor plating. "Should I take the shot?"

"If you have the shot, take it.", I acknowledged.

Using her jetpack to get a better angle, she lined up a shot with her blaster rifle and fired. Coming to a screeching halt a moment later, it began to sway before ultimately collapsing onto its right side. Happy that the problem was dealt with, the security chief thanked me profusely for preventing the destruction of the station. Promising to handsomely compensate us for our efforts, he turned to the Devilukeans with a bloodthirsty glare.

"You have your princess; now get the fuck off my station! Every single one of you is blacklisted from ever setting foot here again.", the security chief spat. "I can assure you, the Galactic Senate will hear of what happened here today."

Storming off to help his men search the rubble for survivors. I was about to follow him when Lala grabbed hold of my left arm.

"Wait a moment, can I please get your name?", Lala requested, looking up at me with a big smile. "You seem like an interesting person, and I want to know more about you. We can sit down on my ship to talk shop with one another!"

"Princess Lala, I must respectfully decline your offer. I am on an important diplomatic mission for my grandfather, and I cannot afford to delay.", I answered, making sure to give her as little information as possible to work with.

"Fine, how about just your name then? Pretty please!", Lala pleaded, pushing her well-endowed chest out.

"Pardon my bluntness, but I have no interest in discussing this matter further. I am aware of your destructive escapades, and I frankly want to avoid being drawn into your messes.", I stated, continuing to look her in the eyes, "Please leave the station with your entourage immediately."

Blinking several times, Lala looked at me with surprise. Taking to the sky after that, I began surveying the debris for survivors. Watching me fly away, an elated smile formed on her face.

---3rd Person POV---

"Lala-sama, is something wrong?", Zastin questioned with concern.

"No, far from it. I believe I have found my future husband.", Lala spoke enthusiastically, 'Mother said I would know when I found my partner, and I believe it is that man! He seemed genuinely disinterested in my status as the First Princess of the Deviluke Empire and maintained eye contact when I tempted him. All my suitors thus far have looked upon me lecherously and have sought to use me as a political steppingstone. Moreover… he is a genius like me!!'

"You… you are saying you wish to marry him?!", Zastin gasped, surprised she was expressing interest in a man for the first time. "The Emperor and Empress will be overjoyed to hear you have settled on a man. That said, though… we do not know his name or country of origin."

"My apologies, my lord. I believe he is the owner of the giant city ship docked outside the station. We should be able to determine his country of origin from his identification number," one of her guards suggested.

"Brilliant idea!", Zastin agreed, "Let us get moving immediately!"

Rushing back to their ship, the Devilukeans departed the station and began researching the unknown man's identity.
