Rise of the Legendary Emperor

Chapter 241: Good Bye

Don's eyes began to radiate with killing intent. There was no turning back or sourcing this because his heart could stop at any time and his organs were all damaged due to the excess use of battle energy. Waving the black sword in his left hand, he stabbed the battle energy-infused sword toward the creature's sword

"Cling!"

As if the creature's sword was made of an eggshell, the sword shattered into many pieces. With a muffled cry, a large amount of blood came out of the creature's mouth as his red muscles grew deathly pale.

But before the creature could react, with a wave of his hand, he brought the sword down and stabbed it straight through the creature's heart.

"Ah!" The creature let out a miserable shriek of pain as he pushed the sword through its heart. The power radiated from the swords wreaked havoc inside the creature's body and in an instant, its entire body became mutilated and his bones reduced to dust.

At this moment, the remaining creatures had already dashed towards him with their weapons out.

Quickly turning around, he swung his sword with one hand and defended against the creatures' attacks. Wherever the sword moved, a black strip of smoke followed.

When the six of the creatures' weapons clashed against the black sword, not a single of them could predict that their attacks would be deflected and parried.

"Five!" Upon seeing the mutilated body of its friend, one of the creature's teeth nearly fractured under the powerful gritting. Blood seeped out of its eyes as it roared out in anger.

Even now, Don was struggling to keep his eyes opened, and breathe. Not only his bones were broken, but several organs in his body were now completely destroyed and stopped working.

The power of the battle energy amazed everyone with its power. However, with his current strength, he was unable to control this powerful energy.

"Ah!" The torment on both his mind and body had caused him to howl out. Leaping into the air with a thoughtless dash, he charged toward the closest creature and swung his sword at the creature. The moment the creature had the sword pointed at him, it suddenly froze in place.

Feeling the attack of Don, the creature was stunned as it tried to retreat back only to feel terrified when it realized that it was stuck in place. Even space around it seemed to have frozen in place as he stood firmly in place without being able to move a muscle.

Overwhelmed with shock and terror, the creature poured all its life energy to break free of its constraints but it was futile as right in front of another terrified eyes of a creature, Don's black sword word went straight through its head. The next moment, the creature's entire body exploded into small pieces of flesh and bone in front of other creatures before it could even scream.

"Pch!"

After killing the eldest brother, he spat out a small amount of remaining blood in his body. His body was reaching its limit while blood under his skin was starting to drip from all the pores in his body, and combined with his extremely pale face, this appearance made him seem like a horrifying demon.

"SIX!…"

"SIX!…"

As soon as their friend died, the remaining creatures' eyes grew bloodshot with anger and disbelief.

"Blast it all, just what energy is this?! How is he still alive? We must kill him quickly, or else we are all in danger!" One of the creatures cried out.

"It's as our One said, we cannot underestimate him, unleash your battle spells!" Another creature spoke in a serious tone. Few of their friends had already died by Don's hand. This was a result that they had not expected, they had never heard of someone who was infected with death energy that could kill a bunch of mid-level strong grandmasters.

With a mutual look at each other, the creatures immediately began to utilize their battle spells while some of them began to make their move as well.

"Human, you shall pay for the death of friends with your life!" one creature shouted out loud in rage as it began to cast the powerful spell in its arsenal along with its friends.

With the Mid and peak level grandmasters using their combined power was far greater than a single heavenly level mage. With just the amount of power the creatures radiating while casting the spell forced itself onto his body, causing him to gasp as his remaining bones began to crack under the pressure.

In the form of a large long-ranged attack, three creatures released a flame that seared across the skies and shot toward Don.

"Ahh!" he let out a cry as he focused all of his strength into his left arm and brought the black sword smashing down onto the attack aimed at him.

The battle energy fused with dark energy had devoured the attack from the three creatures and instantly shattered their attacks. At the very moment, their attacks were shattered, he threw the sword at them as the black sword cleaved the creatures head and blasted their bodies.

The glow on his sword began to dissipate after this attack as he had reached his limit and could no longer breathe or control the sword.

Suddenly, the weather began to grow unstable and worse as darker and darker clouds began to descend down from the skies. Many flashes of lightning could be seen crackling within the clouds as well. The atmosphere began to grow tenser.

The next moment, an unbelievably mighty pressure descended upon him,

And facing the sky with an even paler face, he could only see a group of creatures protect themselves with a layer of life energy. Floating high in the sky, another three creatures were using their God level spells at the same time with power so great that they had influenced the weather itself.

He felt a sharp pain all over his body as he struggled to keep himself straight with a victorious smile. He had already killed a few of the creatures with his current state. And he made them use their best spells to take his life away and now he was ready to embrace death like a warrior, like a king.

In a flash, the preparation time for the creatures came to an end. In the next moment, three rays of dazzling light could be seen jetting toward him with a speed that shook the air around them.

Unconsciously, he reached his hand out towards the black sword but the sword was lying on the ground without moving.

Without any sort of resistance, the light reached his body, and like a kite in a storm without an anchor, his body was blown back sixty meters and fell to the ground and It had taken him another thirty meters before his body had come to a rest after tumbling like a ball in motion.

There was already a large hole in the cavity of his chest, leaving behind just plain air where his inner organs should be. From head to toe, his body was covered with blood and not a single part of his body was left unstained by blood.

Another creature quickly flew towards him and immediately stabbed Don with its dagger, running the dagger through his chest completely.

The light in Don's eyes began to grow dimmer. He couldn't help but struggle to keep his eyes open before finally closing them for good.

In the next moment, his consciousness turned to a formless state. His own spirit had already begun to depart from the world and his senses grew dull to the outside world. At the final moments, before his soul would disappear for good, he couldn't help but think back to memories of sister Elena and the villagers of peace valley, his best friend and brother Knight, the smiling faces of Arrora, Amaryll, and all the people in Everlight.

"This… is this the feeling of death?"

"Sister Elena… I'm sorry. I couldn't avenge you"

"Knight, my brother, thank you for being with me. If there's a second life, I pray that I will meet you again"

"Everyone in Everlight. I won't be seeing you again…goodbye"
