The whole night passed peacefully, Raphtalia slept in my arms and no longer had a nightmare about how she lost her family.

The next morning, when we all woke up, we decided to return to the city.

Naofumi went to sell some grass, and Raphtalia and I watched the children playing with a ball.

Hearing my words, she looked at me for a second, since she hadn't talked about her parents before, but she threw it away.

She pointed her sword at the dog and with determination in her eyes, she ran and bounced off the rock and jumped on the dog, stabbing her sword into its head, the dog didn't die but turned its attention to her, throwing Raphtalia away.

"Air shield!" Naofumi shouted, and a shield appeared in front of the dog, preventing it from reaching Raphtalia.

Raphtalia came to her senses and stabbed the dog in the chest, which killed it almost instantly.

"You look like shit, buddy!" I said to Naofumi as I approached him.

I used some cryo energy to freeze his wounds.

"Thank you!" he thanked me.

I smiled at him and replied.

"You're welcome."

Then I felt someone hug me from behind, I turned around and stroked her head.

Having finished mining the ore, we returned to the village where we rented two rooms at the inn, that evening, Raphtalia went wild, remembering that I promised her everything she wanted to order.
