Rise of outcast king

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: The Framework of Power

Morning: The Calm Before the Storm

The students of Seoul West High were adjusting to the new order that Joon had established. The halls were quieter now, with fewer fights breaking out and more students abiding by the unspoken rules of the school. Joon had already cemented his dominance in the school, and no one dared to challenge him directly, but that didn't mean everyone was happy about it. Whispers of change stirred in the corners, and Joon could feel eyes watching him more than ever.

Sitting in his office, Joon leaned back in his chair, flipping through reports about the 4-Crew System and Charles Choi's latest movements. He had heard the rumors—Choi was assembling his Ten Geniuses, powerful individuals who would eventually lead the four crews Choi intended to control.

"Choi's framework is coming together," Yeon-ji said, breaking Joon's concentration as she entered the room with a tablet in hand. "But it's still in the early stages. He's recruiting people, handpicking the best of the best from schools all over Seoul. We've got time, but it's not infinite."

Joon's eyes flicked to the screen. He had studied Choi's methods, the way he operated from the shadows, building his empire piece by piece. Charles Choi wasn't someone who made his moves recklessly. Everything was calculated.

"I know," Joon said, his tone calm yet focused. "But we're not just waiting around. We'll be ready when he makes his move. The Black Airs will be stronger than any of his crews."

Lunchtime: Rebuilding the Hierarchy

Joon walked through the halls of Seoul West High, watching as his crew moved through the corridors with purpose. His control over the school was growing stronger by the day. Students who had once been part of the old gangs and rival factions were now falling in line, joining the Black Airs or leaving the school altogether.

His presence alone was enough to inspire fear and respect, but Joon knew he couldn't rely solely on his reputation to keep order. The real strength of Black Airs came from its cohesion and the network of loyal members who had been carefully chosen over the past few weeks.

Min-ho, Joon's right-hand man, approached as Joon stood in the courtyard, looking out at the students. "We've got a few more recruits from the district. The lower-level guys from the Yongsan Crew and Hyeongshin Technical are starting to come in. Looks like they want a piece of the action."

Joon didn't turn to him immediately, keeping his gaze fixed on the horizon. "Let them come. But they'll learn quickly: if they want to join the Black Airs, they follow our rules. No exceptions."

"You think we can pull it off?" Min-ho asked, skeptical but hopeful.

Joon finally turned, his eyes sharp and calculating. "It's not about what we can pull off. It's about sending a message. We don't play by the rules that Choi or anyone else sets. We make our own."

Afternoon: The Shadow of Choi

As the day passed, Joon couldn't shake the growing feeling that Charles Choi was always one step ahead. While Joon had been busy consolidating power at Seoul West High, Choi had been quietly building his framework. The Ten Geniuses were still unverified, but their names had started to surface in certain circles—whispers of fighters, strategists, and leaders who were handpicked by Choi to lead his four crews.

The rumors were unsettling, especially since Joon hadn't encountered any of Choi's recruits yet. His first real taste of their power would be inevitable, but Joon wasn't one to wait for the inevitable to happen. He was already planning his counter-moves.

Yeon-ji approached again, her expression serious. "Joon, we've got confirmation. Choi's first crew—District 4—is being finalized. We don't know who his genius is for that crew, but the movement is happening."

Joon leaned forward, his face darkening. "He's already trying to stake a claim on the districts. This isn't just about fighting. He's setting up a monopoly."

"We need to act fast," Yeon-ji said. "The longer we wait, the more ground he gains."

Joon nodded. "Let's start by taking over the smaller gangs in District 4. We'll make a name for ourselves there, even if Choi isn't directly involved yet. Once his crew establishes itself, we'll be the ones they see as a threat."

Evening: The First Strike

That night, Joon and Black Airs launched their first operation in District 4. The target was a smaller gang, one that had been carving out a territory in the outskirts of Seoul. Choi's influence wasn't fully established here yet, but Joon knew that gaining control of the district before Choi's crew solidified its power would send a clear message.

The streets were quiet as Joon's crew moved through the alleyways. They quickly overwhelmed the small-time gang, making quick work of their leaders and leaving the rest of the group either running or pledging their loyalty to Black Airs.

Joon stood at the forefront, his Black Airs swirling around him, intimidating and powerful. His summons—mysterious figures from the shadows—were his secret weapon, the edge that gave him the ability to dominate.

As the gang's members knelt before him, Joon's voice rang out, commanding and unyielding. "This is my district now. Anyone who doesn't like it can leave. But know this—Choi's coming, and I'll be ready. When his time comes, I'll be the one on top."

Night: The Framework is Set

Back in their factory base, Joon's thoughts were consumed by the growing influence of Charles Choi. Despite the success of their mission in District 4, he knew this was only the beginning. Choi's framework was slowly taking shape, and it was only a matter of time before the Ten Geniuses became more than just rumors.

"Choi's getting closer," Yeon-ji remarked, watching Joon carefully. "He'll come after us once he's ready. But we're not going to let him take control without a fight."

Joon's expression remained cold and calculating. "I won't wait for him to make the first move. The sooner we disrupt his plans, the sooner we control the city."
