Rick & Morty: Science is Power (SI)

Chapter 8: "Anatomy of A Plan"

"Who... what are you?" I asked, swallowing my fear, my mind steady.

"Im Dr. Xenon Bloom, co owner of anatomy park and you must be the new guy rick sent, morty right?"

I shook my head at his introduction deep in thought

I didn't hav time to waste following the main story line of the plot I needed to reveal the main threat before he could potentially harm me.

"This is my team, Poncho the muscle, Roger a zoo keeper here, and Annie churro stand ex employee." e smiled pointing out his 'team'.

Poncho stepped forward and greeted me. The figure grinned, showing too many teeth. "I'm Poncho. Welcome to Anatomy Park. Where your wildest dreams come true... or not. Depends on your luck!"

I wasn't buying it for a second.

I had no idea what Poncho's role was in all of this, but I do know the canon timeline and he's guaranteed to betray the team, I had to get rid of him.

I nodded, forcing a smile, trying to play the part of the naive kid who was just here to follow orders. But I knew better than to just go along with their plan. Poncho was a liability.

I pretended to size up the situation, nodding at the group, before letting my gaze settle back on Poncho.

"Yeah, looks like a great team you've got here," I said, my voice light, casual, but calculating. I kept my tone friendly, not wanting to raise suspicion. "So, what's the deal? What exactly do I need to do in here?"

Dr. Bloom started explaining, but I wasn't paying full attention. His words were background noise as my mind kept circling back to Poncho.

Poncho was distracted, talking to Roger and gesturing with his hands. It was the perfect opportunity. I needed to get a closer look at that backpack, at what he was hiding. But I couldn't just march over there and grab it. No, I needed to play it smart.

later on..

I stepped back slightly, trying to make myself blend into the group. I focused on breathing steadily as my mind shifted into overdrive.

That's when I saw it. the Bubonic Plague.

just visible—was the vial of Bubonic Plague. It was almost comically obvious, as though he didn't even care who saw it. But I knew better. This wasn't an accident. Poncho was deliberately drawing attention away from the dangerous contents he was carrying.

I had to act fast. If the plague got out, it would be disastrous. Not just for the park, but for me aswell.

I needed to expose him. But I also needed to be careful. Poncho was the muscle for a reason. He could probably tear me apart if I wasn't strategic. I ready my thoughts the collar on my wrist glowing a shimmer of blue

"Hey, Poncho," I said suddenly, cutting into the conversation. My voice was firm, like I had all the time in the world. "You wouldn't happen to have anything, you know, dangerous in that jacket of yours, would you?"

Poncho froze for a split second, his eyes flickering to his backpack. The way he tensed up, I could tell I'd caught him off guard. I smiled inwardly. This was it.

Dr. Bloom looked over at me, confused. "What do you mean, Morty?"

"Nothing," I said quickly, keeping my voice light. "Just... looks like Poncho's carrying something around in there. You know, like a plague or something." I grinned at Poncho, who visibly stiffened.

Poncho tried to laugh it off

"Who... what are you?" I asked, swallowing my fear, my mind steady. I had to stay calm. I had to think.

"I'm Dr. Xenon Bloom, co-owner of Anatomy Park, and you must be the new guy Rick sent, Morty, right?" he said with a pleasant but somewhat unsettling smile, offering me a handshake.

I shook my head at his introduction, already deep in thought. I didn't have time to waste following the main storyline of the plot—Anatomy Park was just another twisted mess of a show, and I knew exactly how this was going to unfold. But this time, I wasn't going to be a passive participant. This wasn't just another random adventure where Rick and I would barely escape. I needed to take control.

"This is my team," Dr. Bloom continued, gesturing to the ragtag group behind him. "Poncho, the muscle; Roger, the zoo keeper here; and Annie Churro, an ex-employee."

He smiled proudly as he pointed out his 'team'.

Poncho stepped forward first, grinning like some psychotic carnival barker, showing too many teeth. "I'm Poncho. Welcome to Anatomy Park. Where your wildest dreams come true... or not. Depends on your luck!" His voice was dripping with sarcasm and too much enthusiasm, which immediately set my nerves on edge.

I wasn't buying it for a second.

I nodded, forcing a smile, trying to play the part of the naive kid who was just here to follow orders. But I knew better than to just go along with their plan. Poncho was a liability.

I had seen this guy's antics on the show, and I knew exactly how this was going to play out. Poncho was not to be trusted. Sure, he acted like a big tough guy, but in the end, he'd betray everyone to save his own skin. I couldn't let that happen, not when I was so close to gaining the upper hand.

There was something off about the guy, and I needed to figure out how to deal with him. Fast.

Poncho was distracted, talking to Roger and gesturing with his hands. It was the perfect opportunity. I needed to get a closer look at that jacket, at what he was hiding. But I couldn't just march over there and grab it. No, I needed to play it smart.

I stepped back slightly, trying to make myself blend into the group. I focused on breathing steadily as my mind shifted into overdrive.

That's when I saw it.

Poncho had his backpack slightly open, and inside—just visible—was the vial of Bubonic Plague. It was almost comically obvious, as though he didn't even care who saw it. But I knew better. This wasn't an accident. Poncho was deliberately drawing attention away from the dangerous contents he was carrying.

I had to act fast. If the plague got out, it would be disastrous. Not just for the park, but for myself aswell.

I needed to expose him. But I also needed to be careful. Poncho was the muscle for a reason. He could probably tear me apart if I wasn't strategic and the group could quickly turn on me.

"Hey, Poncho," I said suddenly, cutting into the conversation. My voice was firm, like I had all the time in the world. "You wouldn't happen to have anything, you know, dangerous in that bookbag of yours, would you?"

Poncho froze for a split second, his eyes flickering down to his bag. The way he tensed up, I could tell I'd caught him off guard. I smiled inwardly. This was it.

Dr. Bloom looked over at me, confused. "What do you mean, Morty?"

"Nothing," I said quickly, keeping my voice light. "Just... looks like Poncho's carrying something around in there. and it was moving" I grinned at Poncho, who visibly stiffened.

Poncho tried to laugh it off, but I wouldn't let him. The game was on.

I took a slow step forward, keeping my eyes locked on Poncho. I reached into my bag and felt the cold metal of the freeze ray against my palm. I didn't need to use it just yet, but I wanted Poncho to know that I had it.

"Let's just see, then," I said, my voice almost teasing. "Let's see if you really are that confident about what you're hiding."

Poncho's face twisted in frustration step quickly in my direction. "What the hell are you—"

Before he could finish his sentence, I raised the freeze ray and fired. The blue beam shot out, hitting Poncho square in the chest. His entire body froze mid-motion, the muscles locking up and his hand still gripping the edge of his backpack handle.

Dr. Bloom and the others stared in shock as Poncho stood there, now completely frozen in place, a dangerous weapon still within his reach. I stepped closer to him, my heart pounding, but I knew I couldn't hesitate. Not now.

With a quick motion, I unzipped Poncho's bag and retrieved the vial of Bubonic Plague. The glass was cold in my hand, but I was grinning. I had him.

I looked at Dr. Bloom, who was watching the whole scene unfold in disbelief. "This was a serious threat," I said, holding up the vial. "And it looks like Poncho here had plans to unleash it on all of you. But don't worry—I took care of it."

Dr. Bloom blinked, his earlier smile vanishing as he processed the situation. "What... what are you going to do with it?"

"Don't worry about it," I said, shoving the vial into my bag. "You've got enough problems with Anatomy Park falling apart around you. I've got this under control."

I turned away from the group, the weight of the vial in my bag a reminder of just how much power I had in this universe. I wasn't just surviving now. I was making my own fate.

Rick would get his park fixed—he'd get his adventure. But this time, I was calling the shots.

"lets hurry up and save this body while we still can we, we don't hae much time." I said; The frost gun in my hands still producing a stream of frost mist out into the air
