Revenge of Reborn Villainess

Chapter 33

“What…… kind of nonsense is that!”

Yurie poked the pale-faced maid with disbelief.

The young maid spoke timidly with a frightened expression.

“His Highness the Duke asked me to move you back to your original room…he said that a room not befitting your status would degrade the ducal family…”

Klaus’s largest bedroom belonged to Kallian, and the second-largest, conveniently located, was the Duchess’s bedroom.

And the third-largest bedroom… that was the one Eshika used to occupy.

Yurie remembered when she responded to Eshika’s call and arrived at Duke Klaus’s residence.

As she admired the beautiful scenery of the historic mansion, lost in thought, she entered to see Eshika’s spacious and luxurious room.

Witnessing Eshika, dressed in a gorgeous dress, smiling in the splendid room, Yurie made up her mind.

I’m going to take everything from her.

When Eshika, under the Duchess’s hatred, was forced to move to a shabby room, Yurie inwardly laughed.

Even though it made her uncomfortable to disturb that girl’s status, the fact that the Duchess’s room was vacant fueled Yurie’s dreams of entering it someday.

“This is ridiculous! Why would His Lordship…”

Yurie opened her eyes wide and shook the shoulders of the young maid.

“Milady… I’m scared. I told you earlier.”

“There must be another reason, His Highness the Duke doesn’t care about Eshika, how much he hates her!”

“Oh.”

Only then did the young maid seem to recall something.

“Come to think of it, he visited the Lady’s bedroom last night.”

“In that shabby room?”

Yurie’s eyebrows stiffened.

Before Eshika moved to the shabby room, and even after, Kallian had never once visited her room.

Because Kallian was a man thoroughly indifferent to Eshika.

Even the touch of Eshika’s hands was dreadfully unpleasant to him.

“That’s not possible…”

But Kallian had found Eshika’s room on his own?

Yurie bit her nails anxiously with a pale face.

The maid, who noticed Yurie’s gaze, bowed her head and turned away.

“Eshika, what on earth are you up to?”

Jealousy and anger flashed in Yurie’s eyes.

If their relationship improved, the future she dreamed of would turn to ashes.

How could she lower Eshika’s reputation to the ground and climb to the position of the Duchess…

“…”

Yurie clenched her fists and stood up.

The still-aching wounds from the previous clash throbbed fiercely.

She couldn’t stay silent like this.

“The length should be about this, and the blade a bit more blunt.”

“You’re a very demanding young lady. Well, it’s better to be sure of your orders.”

Today, Eshika, wearing a maid’s outfit, visited the weapons shop.

She was here to purchase a dagger for her personal use.

She’d seen it the last time she’d been to Marshall’s tea party, so she knew where to find it.

‘About the same size and shape as the dark dagger I used as a celestial spirit… Exciting.’

Of course, the weapon store owner wouldn’t think that the young-looking maid before him would personally use a dagger.

When Eshika nodded silently, having finished the order, the weapon store owner spoke.

“Come back in three days to pick it up.”

The cost for crafting the dagger was paid with money from selling pearls.

Feeling the sensation of holding a weapon in her hand after a long time, Eshika unconsciously smiled.

While leaving the store with a smile, an unexpected voice sounded from in front.

“…a weapon store.”

“….!”

“Interesting, Klaus must have several blacksmiths on staff.”

Eshika’s blue eyes trembled.

The person standing in front of her was none other than Crown Prince Lesvan.

He was dressed in his original black robes and other knightly attire, and it was clear that he was out on some sort of business, presumably to conceal his identity.

There were not even the knights who usually accompanied him when the Crown Prince went outside.

And at this moment, of all times, she encountered him. What an unfortunate coincidence.

“…I met you before, the knight from last time. Hello.”

Eshika suppressed her bewildered feelings and bowed her head, pretending to be a maid.

As she slowly lifted her gaze, she met Lesvan’s eyes inspecting her.

“Nice to meet you. I just stopped by the weapon store to pick a dagger for my lover.”

And she casually told a lie.

Lesvan’s eyebrows twitched.
