Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Research and Development
(nda: I am writing here to inform you that it is from this chapter that I will expand my ideas a little more, I am not spoiling but I hope you will be happy with my additions, good reading ^^)
After inspecting the hall without finding anything of real interest, I turn to Billy and Rebecca.
"I'll explore upstairs, contact me on the walkie if you find anything," I say before heading up the stairs.
Rebecca gives me a worried look. "Be careful up there."
Billy nods. "We'll stay in touch."
I move towards the door behind the statue with the scales, pushing the door open to access a conference room. Desks are lined up, but my attention is drawn to two imposing statues on the left, their massive swords blocking an iron door.
I put my batons away in my inventory before approaching the first statue. With calculated force, I quickly break the metal handle holding the sword, then the frame underneath. I then grab the sword, noting its considerable weight. It doesn't look sharp, but it weighs at least 80 kilos, making it a potentially useful tool against the creatures I might encounter here.
I repeat the operation with the second sword, putting one of them in my inventory before continuing my exploration through the door to the right of the metal one. As I go outside, I spot a few zombies on the right that I quickly burst with my sword, even if their heads deform or explode without being cut off.
I think about sharpening this weapon later. Not taking the ladder, I hear gunshots downstairs, a sign that my companions are there.
I remember that the raised passage leads to the giant bat, so I decide to take care of it right away. I use my homemade grappling hook to hoist myself up before crossing to the chapel.
She arrives pathetically as I enter. A giant bat with a flock of smaller bats.
I instantly release 20 crows and two G zombies to try to catch the giant.
I easily catch one of the small ones that passes by by one of its wings, breaking it in spite of myself.

T Virus mutation or bat successfully absorbed available in the factory
1 bat will be produced every 30 minutes. You have 20 bats directly in the factory.
You will be able to instantly subdue any bat that is not under your control with a simple touch.
The large bat swoops down on me, its howl filling the chapel. She brushes past me as I narrowly avoid her, but one of her acolytes manages to bite me, disappearing into my space the moment her fangs touch my skin.
The rest goes even smoother than the fight in the game. My G zombies grab the giant bat's legs, pinning it to the ground, while the crows bring the remaining bats towards me.
I grab them like in a mini-game, absorbing them instantly, bringing the number in my factory to 63.
I then approach the giantess on the ground, determined to make her my servant. Carefully, I place my hand on her head, feeling the rough texture of her skin under my fingers. Her ragged breathing and plaintive grunts testify to her imminent submission. I concentrate, letting the system do its work, transforming the ancient creature into a faithful servant, ready to obey my every command.

She struggles as if she knows what is coming, but unlike the Stinger, she is woefully weak. The only interest for me is that if I produce more than one, I could move through the air with ease.

(Due to the semi-rare nature of the creature, do you want to rename it?)
I guess he suggests because of the too long name "Call the Blood"
1 Blood will be produced every 5 days. You have 3 Blood directly in the factory.
You will be able to instantly master any Blood that is not under your control by a simple touch. The production time of bats is reduced by 50%.
Unlike Rebecca or Billy, my goal is mainly to collect as many different creatures as possible to survive in this world. I like my power which strengthens little by little, but I prefer much more the style of crowd which overwhelms the enemies, a bit like a horde of piranhas capable of devouring a shark.
I turn back to rush into the attic with the clock to capture the beach crawlers that look like big locusts. The problem is that when I arrive at my destination, they are already dead. I don't know if there are others elsewhere, because my memory for this kind of enemies is weak.
I put my hand on the corpse on the ground to see if something happens and the body disappears.
DING
Mutation Virus T or Crawler successfully absorbed.
Due to the recent death of the specimen, it can also be reproduced in the factory if the number of bodies collected is sufficient (1/2)
I hurry to recover the second by putting my hand on it while waiting for the rest of the message
1 Crawler will be produced every 3 hours. You have 10 Crawlers directly in the factory.
You will be able to instantly master any Crawler that is not under your control with a simple touch.
I'm happy with the success, but I'm still going to hurry up and find the two because it would be a shame if they eliminated the Centurion, an impressive giant centipede, because there aren't two of them, at least not to my knowledge.
I feel like this doesn't really respect the meaning of the games. Even some locations seem strange. It seems like I'm going to have to be more analytical, since my memories of the game are not as useful anymore, except for the different types of enemies.
I run to the room next door to watch the Centurion come out of the vent. I throw my sword at him to distract him, but it only scratches him.
"Rebecca, get up quickly," I say, shooting the 10-meter giant with my pistol while Billy helps Rebecca up the ladder.
"Run away, he can't move easily. Once you guys get out, I'm gonna run," I yelled at the two as he reached the top of the stairs.
"COME ON," I yelled one last time before doing a backflip to avoid his charge.
"Rebecca, come on, we're only making him take more risks by staying," Billy said as he dragged Rebecca down the stairs.
"But..." Rebecca started before following Billy after one last look.
"Meet you in the lobby in 15 minutes. Wait for me, I'll go around," I yelled before hearing an "Okay" before the door closed.
"Now it's between you and my buddies," I said with a smile as I released the three Stingers I have along with about twenty Zombie G's. One of the Stingers isn't healed yet, as one of its claws is hanging halfway off, but it'll do.
The fight is very unequal with the Centurion, crippled in several of his legs, before being pinned to the ground by the Gs, followed by a Stinger rising on his head, immobilizing him entirely.

1 Centurion will be produced every 20 days. You have 2 Centurions directly in the factory.
You will be able to instantly master any Centurion that is not under your control with a simple touch.
You have recovered many mutations of the T-virus, when capturing mutations to the T-virus, the time will be reduced by 10%.
I retrieve the sword that I had thrown before returning to the hall as I had said to see Billy and Rebecca waiting for me in front of an opening where Marcus' painting should have been. However, there is no mechanism so it seems like the entrance was opened by someone else.
Some things have been strange since I've been in this world. I should be careful that I'm not in a game but in real life or I risk injury or even death.
"How are you Gerald?" Billy asked when he saw me arrive. Rebecca, for her part, respects her role by examining me immediately, I let her do it with a smile.
"I'm fine, I'm just a little out of breath and really horrified by the number of monsters roaming this center. With the centipede, I saw a giant scorpion and a bat. It's an illegal experimentation center a stone's throw from Racoon City. If we get out of this unscathed, the next thing I do is infiltrate Umbrella to get evidence and bring them down" I say while in my mind, I almost think about making a kingdom like Wesker had in Africa in Resident Evil 5. I quickly calm down, first survive, gather as many creatures as possible and then advise.
"If we get out of this, I'll probably continue my escape" Billy replied with an apathetic look.
"We'll help you Billy, right Gerald?" Rebecca asked.
"Not to contradict you, Rebecca, but after the events that took place here, if Umbrella doesn't try to discredit STARS to avoid problems. Then there will be only the two of us facing American justice and believe me. She rarely goes back on her decisions even when it comes to people who have greatly contributed. "I said with spite, a rather painful memory of the original Gerald who despite several medals and awards was almost shot because of an abusive superior. Only the departure of the army saved his life.
"No, they can't do that, can they?" Rebecca asked dejectedly.
"They can and they will Rebecca but for now, the goal is to survive. I'm going to scout this new passage. You two, try to see if you haven't forgotten any useful equipment. Fuel, ammunition or maybe a change of clothes because honestly, I look more like a homeless person than an honorable police officer, don't I?" I said rhetorically causing a small smile on the lips of the two companions.
I'm happy to have been able to lighten the mood a little. They agreed before going back up the steps behind the opening. I put one of my swords on the ground in front of the opening before writing on a piece of paper to warn them not to enter.
I turn back to explore the place where the centurion came out since it is a completely new area. The conduit is huge with many scratches on the walls due to the passage of the monster.
At the other end, I see a huge refrigerated area with many creatures in glass capsules. Most of them look half finished and only a few are intact. Nothing very interesting except for samples of living plants.
I quickly open the capsule with a punch before grabbing the plant with my hand.

I feel some pinching in the palm of my hand but my flesh is too hard to be penetrated by the roots of the plant

You can inseminate organisms with a seed to make them a plant monster.
Increased resistance to blows and improved regeneration. Weakness to fire and acid.
Interesting, so I can take advantage of this new talent to convert some of my T zombies into plant zombies, they will be more useful in areas with high humidity or even snow.
I bring out a classic T zombie before producing a pointed seed at the end of my finger, planting the seed where its heart is. Aware that the zombie will be different, I place it directly on the ground before grabbing it to facilitate its absorption.

Plant T virus mutation detected or T plant zombie, absorption will take 15 seconds.

The surprise is total but despite the blood it takes from me, this is negligible and I finally manage to completely master this new monster.
Plant T&G virus mutation successfully absorbed available in the factory
1 Special Plant Zombie or Plant Zombie will be produced every 12 hours. You have 10 Plant Zombies directly in the factory.
You can instantly master any Plant Zombie that is not under your control with a simple touch.
Creation of a new species detected, special characteristics.
The Plant Zombie is a G zombie with its cognitive functions with the physical characteristics of the original G Zombie, it has better regeneration and a reinforced defense due to the roots that force an exoskeleton around the zombie. Weakness to chemical fire like napalm or prolonged exposure, the burning parts can detach to allow it to survive.
After this little bonus, I recovered everything in the capsule but nothing interesting happens except when I reach the end of my collection.
You have recovered many samples of mutation of the T virus, all the creatures from the T virus that you possess are reinforced.
A fleeting smile runs through my lips before I leave the now empty lab to return to the hall.
