Chapter 33: Suspicious
Getting up from the wooden floor in front of the porch, El was about to enter the house. However, El suddenly saw a man with a large woven hat with a wind chime patterned wind chime hanging over his face, heading towards his residence from a distance.
The corners of El's mouth tugged, he smiled slightly at the man's arrival. "Ah, here it comes, my new Nichirin Sword."
Finally, the man arrived before El. "My name is Haganezuka, I'm here to bring you the Nichirin sword I forged."
"Oh, my name is El Ira Adrian." El introduced himself. "We'd better go inside my house. I'll serve you green tea and some cookies."
But El was ignored and Haganezuka sat on the ground, unwrapping the Nichirin Sword. Haganezuka explained to El the origins of the forging of the Nichirin Sword.
"This sword is forged with Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Red Ore. these two materials are found in the highest mountains without clouds and even rain, which are constantly bathed in sunlight throughout the year in Mount Yoko."
"Nichirin swords will change color when first drawn by their owner, which is why they are also referred to as Color Changing Katanas."
Silently, El watched as Haganezuka continued to talk to herself. Then El sighed and re-entered her house, leaving the Haganezuka in front of the porch.
'His nature is exactly like in the anime.' El thought.
Of course, Haganezuka was still talking to herself. The luggage he was carrying was placed on the ground until the bottom of the luggage became muddy.
Not long after, El brought a tray with a teapot and cup. Right next to the teapot and cup on the tray, there were three skewers of Mitarasi Dango on a plate.
"Haganezuka, want to eat Dango? I have three skewers." El sat down and offered his the snacks and tea he had brought.
Haganezuka suddenly raised his head towards El and revealed the Hyottoko mask he was wearing. From behind the mask, Haganezuka's eyes seemed to light up.
Like a strong wind, Haganezuka immediately snatched the Mitarasi Dango that El served. Lifting the bottom mask slightly, Haganezuka ate the Mitarasi Dango with great pleasure.
'It really looks like the anime.' El thought without smiling. Then, El turned his eyes towards Haganezuka's luggage.
Haganezuka's luggage was very simple. It was a box containing a sword wrapped in a dull brown cloth covering it. El recognized what was wrapped in that dull cloth.
'So this is my new Nichirin? Finally able to see color changes too.' El thought to his self and lowered his body, to pick up the sword.
While next door, Haganezuka watched El take the sword he had forged calmly while eating Mitarasi Dango, his favorite food, bite by bite.
In a voice that was a little unclear because it was mixed up when chewing Mitarashi Dango Haganezuka said, "That's the sword I forged for you. Look at it, you'll be satisfied!"
Silently, El glanced at Haganezuka next to his. Then, El immediately drew the sword, and the blade turned black. 'That's right on the information.' El said in thought.
Suddenly, the sound of an object falling close to him, so close that it was clearly heard. "Argh! Why is it black? You messed up, damn it!" said Haganezuka.
Without hesitation, Haganezuka attacked El by jumping up to choke his. However, with a speed that distorted the space around his, El stood up and moved away from Haganezuka.
Of course, Haganezuka didn't give up that quickly. With an initial stance as if a tiger was about to pounce on prey, Haganezuka attacked El again.
"Damn it, this is all your fault! I wasted my life forging that sword!" said Haganezuka, pouring out his annoyance and frustration.
However, El again dodged Haganezuka's stab without turning his head, only focusing on looking at his new Nichirin Sword. This time, with a movement that distorted the space around his, El moved to jump up to the roof of the house with a single stomp of his foot.
On the rooftop of his house, El continued to look thoughtfully at the Nichirin in his hand. His eyes were sweeping over every tiny detail of the blade in the hand.
Meanwhile below the rooftop, Haganezuka protested in disappointment at El. "Come down damn it! Let me strangle you!"
Not only that, but Haganezuka even took the initiative to throw stones that happened to be around in the direction El was. As usual, El didn't care about that.
With ease, one by one the stones that led to him were successfully avoided very impressively. The movement when El dodged the sheet rock was so impressive that the surrounding space seemed to be distorted.
Being overwhelmed by disappointment, annoyance and anger, Haganezuka didn't realize how impressive it was when El moved to avoid without looking at the direction of the incoming attacks.
"Hmm, nice blade detail. Similar to the Nichirin I got from the Rencarnation Room." El glanced at Haganezuka and then smiled wryly saying, "Good job, I'm satisfied with your work."
Hearing the praise, Haganezuka stopped throwing stones at El. Haganezuka crossed his arms and boasted of the fruits of his labor in making a quality sword.
"Hump, it's good that you understand how to appreciate my Sword!" Haganezuka said that with an arrogant tone and expression behind his mask.
In the distance, El's white owl flew across the daytime sky, heading towards where El was at the moment.
Raising his right hand, El let the owl's talons reach his right hand. El stared seriously, wondering how an owl could be active during the day. "Aren't owls nocturnal?"
"Hoo, hoo!" The white owl let out its distinctive chirp. Then it said, "El Ira Adrian! Oyakata-sama personally invites you to meet as soon as possible!"
El was a little surprised, "The bird can talk!" Then El held his forehead with his left hand. After that El sighed, "I don't know, I don't want to understand anymore."
After sighing, El lowered left hand from his face and looked at the white owl. El's eyebrows furrowed slightly, watching the white owl.
This made the white owl feel a bit scared. When it received a close look from the right eyeball, the white owl did not feel any fear.
However, as the left eyeball, which was Rinnegan looked at her, a feeling of coldness and fear spread across the white feathers on the poor white owl.
"This feels suspicious, why would Kagaya Ubuyashiki want to see me? Is it because of the hand demon incident?" El said in thought with a serious expression looking at the white owl.
Instantly, El was pensive. His mind was filled with question marks, about what Kagaya Ubuyashiki wanted to meet his.
There were several thoughts that crossed her mind. First, about the incident with the hand demon at the top of the Fujikasane mountain forest. The hand demon was not dead, at least not before Tanjiro Kamado freed the hand demon from its misfortune. But, the after-effects of the battle should still be there.
Second, about El managing to save about 8 participants, as well as successfully killing all the demons at the top of Fujikasane mountain.
Of the two possibilities that came to mind, El preferred the first possibility which was the most likely and plausible.
However, that doesn't mean there isn't another possibility. That's what El needed to find out, about Kagaya Ubuyashiki's purpose.
'Kagaya Ubuyashiki is quite cunning, I have to be careful with her.' El thought.
Suddenly, the white owl lost consciousness, falling from its perch, El's right arm. The owl could not bear the mysterious pressure of being stared at by Rinnegan El seriously from too close a distance.
But, before it fell, El caught the white owl. Hugging the white owl, a look of astonishment was clearly printed on El's face, when he saw the white owl suddenly lose consciousness.
"Why else would this bird? I really don't understand." El said with a sigh, then El looked down at the roof of his residence.
"Haganezuka, I'll- Huh, where is he? Is it because I was too focused on thinking about Kagaya Ubuyashiki's intentions, that person is gone?" El said that while looking around.
Haganezuka was nowhere to be seen around his home residence. The belongings, even the remaining Mitarasi Dango were gone from the tray. Apparently, Haganezuka brought the food secretly.
"He left quickly." Then El jumped down from the roof and walked into his house.
Moments later, El came out of her house. El changed into his demon hunter uniform, covered by the white trench coat he was wearing. The new Nichirin was already tied around his waist, while Nhicirin was in a dimensional ring.
From behind El, a white owl flew up and landed on his shoulder. The white owl had regained consciousness from fainting, although it was still afraid of Rinnegan El's eyes, but El was a master who had to be served.
"Hmm, you woke up quickly." El said, after glancing at the white owl.
"Hoo, hoo!" the white owl replied happily.
A wry smile graced its face and said, "If you're awake, show me where the Demon Slayer headquarters is."
Understanding El's words, the white owl quickly flew off the shoulder and pointed the way to the Demon Slayer's headquarters.
Quickly, El caught up with the white owl, heading towards the Demon Slayer Headquarters.
In his haste, El forgot to close and lock the door. But it didn't matter, because there were almost no valuables in his house. All the items were in the space storage ring.
