Rencarnation Room {Other Story line}

Mount Fujikasane, is a mountain full of Wisteria that blooms every season from the foot of the mountain to its slopes.

This mountain is used by the Demon Slayer Corps for Final Selection, where individuals who wish to become official Demon Slayers can prove themselves.

Passing examinees are recognized and receive their own Demon Slayer Uniform, Nichirin Sword, and Kasugai Crow.

In order to ensure the success and skills of the Demon Slayer candidates, the Mountain itself is used to house a large number of demons captured by previous Demon Slayers to be used to test the candidates' survival skills and fighting abilities.

Due to the numerous Wisteria trees growing from the foot of the mountain to its slopes, the mountain had essentially become a giant prison for the demons. Since the Wisteria trees prevented them from leaving the mountain, the demons there were forced to starve until the Final Selection.

El was walking, enjoying the view at the foot of Fujikasane Mountain. Looking right and left, El noticed that the wisteria blossoms were shaped like grapes. Since it was night, the wisteria blossoms seemed to glow in the silence of the night.

The corners of El's mouth were drawn, he smiled with a gentle expression. "Such beautiful flowers. However, deadly to demons." El murmured, enjoying the scenery around him.

Wisteria flowers are a type of plant used by the demon assassin corps to fight demons, in addition to using Nichirin's sword.

Wisteria can be used to make a poison that can paralyze ordinary demons and paralyze Lower Level Twelve Kizuki. A normal dose of wisteria poison on demons can hinder their abilities such as regeneration, movement, suppress their extrasensory perception as well as weaken their Blood Demon Arts.

Shortly following the path at the foot of the mountain, El finally arrived in front of a staircase. At the top of the stairs was a large red tori gate.

'This must be the place.' El said in thought, then stepped his feet up the stairs one by one.

Arriving at the top, El saw a crowd of people. They were also looking at her strangely because of her clothes. Especially her left eye which looked like a ripple in the water dripping in the pond.

But, El didn't care much about it.

El saw that some of them wore clothes that looked like uniforms because of the similar designs.

While the others wore clothes with each different design. In addition, they also carried swords with them. Either they put the sword on their waist, or on their back.

From El's rough count, there were 20 people in this place. These people seemed to be the participants who participated in the final selection of the demon slayer corps.

Walking at a slow pace while looking around, El could not see anyone among them who seemed to have a familiar face.

'They look strong. However, there's no one I recognize. Apparently, the Rencarnation Room transferred me to a timeline that doesn't coincide with the main character.' El said in thought while sighing.

"Hello everyone, thank you for joining the final selection tonight." When El reached the center of the crowd, the voices of two feminine yet familiar people rang out.

Immediately, El looked for the source of the sound. El saw two children carrying lanterns. Their faces were identical, but they had different hair colors.

El recognized them, they were Kiriya Ubuyashiki and Hinaki Ubuyashiki.

Kiriya had pale white skin and big eyes. The boy had the same hairstyle as his other sisters, a short bob with bangs covering his eyebrows, black in color. Since Kiriya was raised as a girl, Kiriya looked more feminine.

Kiriya wore a purple uchikake kimono with floral patterns and a green obi, backed with a white obiage and indigo obijime along with a white robe underneath it all. His head was adorned with a wisteria flower decoration.

Next to is Hinaki Ubuyashiki. Her hair is shoulder-length, white, and styled in a blunt bob with bangs and a red ribbon on the right side of her head.

Hinaki was wearing a dark blue Hōmongi kimono decorated with purple flowers along with a maroon obi and obiage and a pink turban under her clothes.

Kiriya and Hinaki, representing the Ubuyashiki Family, acted as organizers of the event and would come together to brief the candidates on the rules.

The test requires them to survive for seven consecutive nights at the top of a mountain, relying solely on their own resources with no external assistance.

Candidates who managed to survive for seven nights successfully were given the opportunity to join the honorable ranks of the Demon Slayer Corps as an official Demon Slayer.

"Now, let the final selection begin." the two said in unison and in the same voice.

All the participants, including El rushed to pass through the tori gate behind Kiriya and Hinaki.

In the darkness of the forest overgrown with trees. Under the moon lantern in the cold night sky, El walked leisurely as if waiting to become prey.

Suddenly, someone in a hurry was heard. "Hahaha, human! Meat! You are my prey!" The owner of the voice said it in a tone full of madness.

El smiled. His right hand grasped Nichirin's handle. In one swift, accurate, and powerful movement, El drew Nichirin's sword and said, "Enbu!"

Slash!

With a swift hand movement like splitting the void, El performed a single horizontal slash, cutting the neck of the owner of the voice. Vaguely, the friction of Nichirin's blade with space slightly burned the air in the process.

Instantly, the voice owner's body fell to the ground, his head floating in the air for a moment. In the next second, the voice owner's body and head seemed to slowly burn into dust.

Chanting Nichirin again, El turned around and looked at the owner of the voice. The figure had a humanoid body, but could hardly be considered human. Because the figure that crumbled into dust right in front of El at this moment had sharp claws and a hideous face.

"So this thing is called a demon?" muttered El with a serious look.

Demons (Oni) are an ancient race of horrible and evil creatures and the main antagonists in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Demons are a vampire-like carnivorous species whose main food is humans. They are also nocturnal as they are weak to sunlight, although they also stay awake during the day as they do not need to sleep.

Demons have extremely strong physical constitutions and extraordinary regenerative abilities, making them immune to normal weaponry and giving them the ability to heal any wound with ease, even regrowing their heads.

Only the Nichirin Sword, a weapon made from a special ore with sunlight absorption properties, can inflict life-threatening wounds.

However, even with the Nichirin Sword, the only guaranteed method of killing demons is through decapitation. Demons are also known to hate wisteria, which is poisonous to them and its smell is repelled by them.

Almost all demons have a murderous instinct to kill and devour humans and have lost most of their memories from their human lives.

While they still retained their original personality, it often became a darker version of what it once was, often marred by their core beliefs and past.
