Chapter 3: CH 2 - PROJECT ELYSIUM
The record plays a video of Dr. Taylor saying: "Welcome to the project Elysium, and this project is to bring someone back to life from other dimensions."
As she speaks, the camera pans across a lab, showing various equipment and instruments, but there's a sense of something being off, as if someone is just out of frame.
Dr. Taylor continues: "As it's said, we are here to test the power of the EMI stone, let's now continue with the experiment." Suddenly, lights flash and Dr. Taylor shouts: "‡∆¶°¬!" before the video stops.
The record falls silent, and Kai looks at Dr. Taylor with a mix of confusion and concern. "What just happened?" he asks.
Dr. Taylor's expression is grim, and she shakes her head. "I don't know, but it looks like the experiment went terribly wrong."
Kai nods, his eyes fixed on the record player. "It feels like... someone was there, but I didn't see anyone."
Dr. Taylor's eyes cloud over, and she whispers: "I know what you mean. It's as if... a presence was felt, but it's not quite there."
Kai looks at Dr. Taylor, his eyes narrowing. "You were in that video," he says, his voice firm.
Dr. Taylor nods, her expression hesitant. "Yeah, I'm there, but... I don't even remember anything. It's like my memories are blocked or something."
Kai's eyes widen in surprise. "You don't remember? But you were just talking and... and doing stuff in the video."
Dr. Taylor shakes her head, her brow furrowed. "I know, I know. It doesn't make sense. But honestly, Kai, I don't recall anything about that video or what happened in it."
Kai looks at Dr. Taylor, trying to process what she's saying. "But... why would you be in a video and not remember it?" he asks, his voice laced with confusion.
Dr. Taylor sighs, her shoulders slumping. "I don't know, Kai. I really don't know. But I think it's connected to... whatever is going on with the EMI stone and Project Elysium. Something is messing with our memories, our perceptions... I don't know what's real and what's not anymore."
Kai's eyes lock onto Dr. Taylor's, and he can see the fear and uncertainty lurking beneath the surface. "We need to figure out what's going on," he says, his voice firm. "We need to uncover the truth."
Kai's eyes narrow, his mind racing. "This EMI stone... do you think it's the key to all of this?" Dr. Taylor's expression is thoughtful. "I don't know what it is, but it seems to be at the center of everything. Maybe it's some kind of... I don't know, a device or a tool that can manipulate dimensions?"
Kai's eyes light up. "That would explain the remote control. Maybe the EMI stone is what gave it the power to travel through dimensions and worlds."
Dr. Taylor's eyes widen. "That's a possibility. But what if it's more than that? What if the EMI stone is not just a tool, but a... a gateway or a portal to other dimensions?"
Kai's mind reels at the implications. "If that's true, then we're dealing with something much bigger than we thought. Something that could change everything we thought we knew about reality."
Dr. Taylor's voice is barely above a whisper. "I think we're just scratching the surface, Kai. I think there's a lot more to this than we can even imagine."
