As they stood before the cave, Kai, Taylor, and Professor Lee worked together to open the massive door. Once it creaked open, they stepped into a vast chamber filled with ancient writings glowing faintly on the walls.

Professor Lee's eyes lit up with amazement. "Incredible! I swear, the last time I was here, there was no door. This... this is new."

Before anyone could respond, Nyx suddenly appeared, his movements swift as lightning. Without warning, he grabbed Kai by the neck, lifting him off the ground.

Kai struggled, gasping for air, when Nyx froze. He quickly dodged backward, sensing a dangerous presence. From the shadows, Valentin emerged, his eyes blazing with intensity.

Nyx's lips curled into a sly smile. "I see... so the bloodlust is also tied to this story."

Valentin's voice was sharp and commanding. "Leave this place immediately!"

Kai protested. "But we don't have enough clues yet—"

Valentin interrupted him, his tone grim. "It doesn't matter. We may lose our lives if we stay. He has the power to kill all of us. Retreat for now!"

Nyx laughed coldly. "As if I'd let you walk out of here alive."

Valentin glared at him and then turned to Kai. "His name is Nyx Valkar. He's a dimensional traveler and a skilled fighter. Some say he's searching for something, though no one knows what. That's all I know about him—but it's enough to understand he's extremely dangerous."

Nyx smirked. "Flattered. But you missed the part where I don't let anyone stand in my way."

The tension snapped as Valentin and Nyx engaged in a deadly fight. Blades clashed, sparks flying as Nyx's agility and precision matched Valentin's vampiric speed and strength.

Taylor grabbed Professor Lee's arm. "We need to leave!"

Kai shook his head. "I can't leave him here!"

Lee pulled Kai back. "He's a vampire. He might survive this somehow!"

Kai looked torn but finally made a decision. "You two go. I'll stay and help him."

Taylor hesitated, then nodded reluctantly. "Fine, but... here!"

Kai tossed her the remote. "Take it with you. If he's after this, we can't let him get it."

Taylor's eyes widened. "But you can't fight without the remote!"

Kai was firm. "We don't have time to argue. Just go!"

Taylor and Lee ran, leaving Kai behind.

As the fight raged on, Nyx suddenly threw a glowing orb at Valentin. It exploded in midair, releasing a force that pinned the vampire to the ground. Valentin strained but couldn't move.

"What is this?!" Valentin growled.

Nyx chuckled. "Still can't figure it out? Vampires fear fire and light, don't you?"

The dagger in Nyx's hand began to burn, flames licking up the blade.

Valentin's eyes widened in realization. "Wait... don't tell me that thing can wield fire!"

Nyx smirked. "Unfortunately for you, yes."

Kai, watching in horror from the shadows, leaped forward to stop Nyx. But with a simple motion of his hand, Nyx froze Kai in place.

Kai struggled. "What is this?! Why can't I move?!"

Valentin's voice was strained. "He's a master of force emission. He can manipulate kinetic energy to freeze or throw anything."

Kai gritted his teeth. "What else can we do?!"

Nyx, his fiery blade raised, looked down at them. "It's simple. Accept that you're out of your depth. Legends are dangerous, boy. And you're about to find out just how dangerous."
