Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 592: Verdant Valley Again

When Xu Feng realized that Carmen managed to resolve them swiftly with an iron fist, he became rather speechless.

Imagine being so popular that you have fans who willingly betrayed their fellow friends and exposed them to her?

"How did you even get them to do that?" Xu Feng asked in disbelief, his mouth left agape.

"Hehe, you sure are expressive today, Guild Leader." Amused, Carmen was truly delighted to see Xu Feng expressing so many types of emotion. There were numerous occasions when his face just stayed the same or simply calm.

However, today, he was shocked repeatedly by her. This was a bragging right that she could tell to others.

"Alright, are you going to tell me or not?" Swiftly composing himself, Xu Feng asked once again— this time with little to zero reaction.

Nodding, Carmen decided to reveal the answer, given it would be known to him sooner or later once he watched the stream.

"I've said that anyone who assisted me greatly can get a picture with me. And what can I say? I'm beautiful, charismatic, and just perfect in general." She shrugged her shoulders and said pridefully.

"Heh, you said I'm expressive today? You should take a look at yourself and see how confident you are as opposed to when we first met." Xu Feng chuckled and teased, reminding Carmen's behavior in their first interaction sharply contrasted with her current one.

Not one to shy away anymore, she flashed a cheeky smile. "That's because I'm comfortable chatting with you. If it were anyone else, then I would be more reserved."

With that being said, Xu Feng couldn't possibly argue against that kind of statement.

"Anyway, since the guild's issues have been resolved by you, I will continue to be absent for a while." Xu Feng calmly revealed his intention.

"Eh, absent? Then what about the auction?"

"You can manage it on my behalf. Or keep having it delayed. I plan on sending you a list of items that we can take out from the Boss Drop to be part of the auction list."

Startled and astonished, Carmen widened her eyes. Her gaze looked at Xu Feng as if he was a buffoon or not.

"Guild Leader, be honest." She flashed a solemn expression and continued, "Did the Doctors drop your brain during the surgery?"

"..."

A second later, Xu Feng effectively ended the call. First, it was Zhao Kai, and now it was Carmen, who both looked at him funny when he said he would take out part of the boss drop for auction.

However, what they didn't know was that those items he chose couldn't even be used.

They were "pieces" and required them to gather a specific amount before being able to combine them to get the actual item.

Naturally, the final item was decent, but the effort and time required to achieve that phase would render it pointless.

In simple terms, not only was he selling useless items for money, but it was also used to distract the guilds from putting their attention on actual usefulness and instead on trying to combine the "pieces".

As he ended the call, Xu Feng found himself back at the place where he left off. Although it was a pity that he couldn't do the mission along with Clara, given that he had missed a lot of 'days', Xu Feng decided not to dwell on it.

There was always a next time, and he couldn't afford any more delays.

Without hesitation, Xu Feng turned to the left path, which led to Verdant Valley.

Upon stepping foot at the Verdant Valley, he was exposed to the familiar scenery, as well as the monsters.

"Shadow Wolves eh." Xu Feng mused that they appeared rather quickly.

Usually, they would wait till the players stepped into the eerie fog before making a move, but they supposed it wasn't needed since he was alone.

Looking at their thirsty mouths drooling in saliva and predator gazes, he found it quite amusing.

Did they seriously take him for the weak Cleric of the past who needed to run away and stall?

A second later, one of the Shadow Wolves started pouncing on Xu Feng, clearly being pushed to the front to test the water.

Not even fazed by the sudden action, Xu Feng swiftly wielded his staff and created a barrier, followed by a series of spells countering the Shadow Wolves.

BAM!

The Shadow Wolf got hit consecutively and was forcefully sent backward from the impact.

Simultaneously, Xu Feng finished buffing himself and gestured his hand in a provoking manner.

"You bunch of weak monsters who couldn't even give me more than 0.5% experience points. Let's get this over with it." He murmured and began advancing after noticing the Shadow Wolves had turned wary.

He proceeded to unleash Radiant Burst, casting a powerful flash of radiant energy that surged outward and damaged all wolves within its range.

Next, he activated Dark Nova, releasing a wave of dark energy that rippled in every direction, inflicting damage on the wolves while also granting himself a minor healing effect.

Finally, he summoned a series of Celestial Spears, conjuring multiple spectral spears from above that struck down with fierce, concentrated holy energy, delivering a critical blow to the Wolves.

The atmosphere was soon filled with the sound of growling and cries and came to a stop after three minutes.

Once he confirmed there were no more monsters nearby, Xu Feng casually entered the eerie fog, leaving behind a few traces of battle marks. As for the monster corpses, they were nowhere to be seen.

Glancing at his status screen, Xu Feng had long surpassed the monster's level count in Verdant Valley. After his mini-test on his current strength, he no longer bothered to search for more monsters.

'Time to meet with Fiona.' He thought, immediately teleporting to Willowbrook Village.
