Reincarnation in DxD with wishes

Chapter 92: Fate Universe

Theo decided where to go in the void this time. He chose to go to Fate because he could potentially become tier 0 there, and this time, his goal in that universe would be to change the fate of a hero rather than to become a god. Once he accomplished this, Theo would become tier 0 and achieve what he desired, returning to the DxD universe to become a family man.

Theo chose the Greek era to go to, as there were many heroes during that time and many tragic stories. His mission would be to change heroes' fates, not just one, but several of them. If Theo said he wasn't afraid while transitioning to the Fate universe, that would be a lie; Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon were all stronger and multiversal beings in this universe, and the power of the gods was intimidating.

(Although the gods in this Fate universe are machine gods, I won't dwell on this much. My excuse is the Counter Force, which Zeus will be manipulating to change the memories of others so they forget they are machine gods.)

Instead of taking over someone else's body, Theo reincarnated and was reborn as a baby. The power of this new body is energy absorption, capable of absorbing all types of energy at a higher level. His body will use this to permanently strengthen himself. He was reborn not as a normal human but as a dragon, specifically an abyssal dragon breed because Theo was already accustomed to controlling the abyss, ensuring he would become stronger as he grew.

However, the issue was that the Counter Force might find him because, in this universe, Theo was an anomaly.

But he had thought ahead and prepared to protect himself.

He brought only one weapon with him when he came to this universe: the All-Black Necrosword. The reason is that with the power of the abyssal dragon, he could become invincible with this weapon and control the symbiotes in this universe. His main goal is to create a special attack with this sword, making it a weapon that everyone would fear, and Theo believes he can accomplish this in the Fate universe.

Theo was reborn, but his parents were absent in this universe; he appeared as a baby by a lake and began to cry. The lake fairies heard his cries and looked at the baby, all enchanted.

"By Zeus, this baby is so cute!"

Among them, a woman was carefully observing the child, and it was very surprising for a child to appear in this area. A smile came to her face, and she felt an urge within her that she needed to raise this child.

Yes, this woman's name is Thetis, and she decided to stay with the nymphs in this remote place because it was peaceful.

The appearance of this child might be the reason; she had always wanted to be a mother, but finding a good partner in this era was difficult, and she was afraid of prophecies. Thus, even if Zeus and Poseidon courted her, she turned them down.

(She hasn't married Peleus yet.)

She wanted to name this child as if he could satisfy her, and the baby would be named Antares. She was surprised that she gave him this name, but in her heart, it felt like the best name for the child.

The meaning of Antares could be understood as "anti-Ares" or as a rival to Ares. Thetis thought this name suited the child.

Thetis leaned her head toward the baby and said, "From now on, your name is Antares."

Theo was astonished. This seemed to indicate that the universe was aware of his presence here, and he decided not to interfere.

Perhaps it was because of Zelretch, after all, it's not easy to see such a big anomaly as Theo, who was open to witnessing many things since he had witnessed the end of the universe.

Then, Theo felt hungry and began to cry. Frankly, no matter how ashamed Theo was, it wasn't easy to control a baby's body.

The other nymphs were confused and didn't know what to do. They assumed the child was hungry and brought a goat for him, feeding him the goat's milk. Thus, Theo was officially adopted by them and became Thetis's child.

Nine Years Later

Theo was properly raised by Thetis, and now she was raising Antares as her child. Sometimes, no matter how mischievous Antares was, she disciplined him, of course, in her ways.

Antares did not want to remember these memories.

Even though his mother looked at him with love, she could become very serious at times. However, Antares found a solution: he tried to use sad puppy eyes.

Whenever it seemed like he was about to cry, Thetis couldn't resist and would hug him, apologizing for something.

Antares currently has black hair and red eyes, standing 134 cm tall—a cute little boy. Undoubtedly, if another god saw him, they would pinch his cheeks and play with him.

In these nine years, Antares didn't do much; he simply spent his childhood. His dragon body was already developing day by day, and it continued to do so because the place Theo was in was rich in ether and provided enough energy for his growth. Antares noticed something: he felt as if he was being watched. It seemed like the eyes of the other gods were upon him.

Most likely, because Thetis said she had adopted a child, some gods came to visit Antares, including Hephaestus and Demeter. Apollo also came and even gifted Theo a violin.

(Hey Sherlock, I'm aware that the violin appeared in the 14th century in Italy, so don't trigger. The reason Apollo has the violin is because he is the god of music and can use all musical instruments from the past and future. So, if Apollo wants, he can play the electric guitar, after all, he is both the god of light and music. For Zeus's sake, stop questioning!)

Theo always kept this violin hidden. In his previous worlds, he loved playing musical instruments during his free time, but he always did so alone because if someone heard him play by mistake, they would become enchanted and lose themselves in the music.

Now, Theo only played the violin for his mother, and the only one who knew he could play was his mother. The gods did not know this because, while Thetis was with Antares, she would stop watching them as she had warned them about Antares.

While Thetis was hugging her child, she looked down and saw that Theo was embarrassed, so she asked him to play the violin.

Thetis: "Antares, would you like to play some music? Why don't you gift me a piece?"

Antares looked anxious because the piece he wanted to play now would attract the attention of the gods, even if he didn't want it to.

Antares: "Mom, please, can I play it later?"

Thetis puffed out her cheeks. "You're being picky, Antares. My child, you're already in the age of rebellion, or do you not love your mother?"

Antares sighed: "This time, the song I'll play won't be just for you, but for everyone here, Mom. After all, these nymphs have done a lot for me. Is that okay, Mom?"

Thetis's eyes filled with tears, and with a choked voice, she said, "Oh, I never thought my child would be so loyal. I'm proud of you, my son."

Antares was also moved.

For this reason, he brought his violin. The violin was shining, and Theo wanted a beautiful dance music piece. A beautiful song came to his mind that perfectly suited the current situation, and as Antares slowly began to play, everyone was looking at his elegant appearance—graceful and dangerous.

Because he was a child, the nymphs wanted to hug him and pinch his cheeks when they saw him, but they stopped because Thetis was giving them threatening looks.

Theo began to play the piece.

*(Waltz No. 2 by Dmitri Shostakovich)*

Everyone felt strange when they heard the song.

They all stood up and began to dance. Animals gathered around and listened to Antares's music.

Thetis stepped in front of Theo, bowing her head, and Theo bowed his head in return. Theo kept up with Thetis's movements while holding the violin. The surroundings were filled with many beings, and even the distant gods were watching Antares and Thetis dance together.

Some felt jealousy, but among them, Apollo was proud of this child and had already noticed the potential he had. He decided to keep an eye on him in the future.

Of course, Antares was unaware of any of this, spending time with his mother. Eventually, the song ended, and Thetis kissed Antares on the cheek and then hugged him.

Thetis: "Thank you for gifting us this beautiful piece, my son."

Tears were flowing from Thetis's eyes, and Antares stopped her tears with his hand, showing a sad expression himself.

Antares: "You're welcome, Mom. Everything is for you."
