Chapter 8: Sin is Behaving Weird
THIRD POV—
Retreating to her room, Sin took a seat in front of Mother Night. Hearing Stella's words, Sin was a bit dishevelled. Did she lie to her? Or what she said was the truth? Was her bastard father still alive? No, he was dead. That's what she had been told all her life. For the first time in her life, she was in a dilemma. She wanted to prove that she was better than that son of a bitch. He, himself, was defeated by a woman. Then, why did he discriminate against her? All her life, she wanted to defeat Captain America but, it was impossible as she was allegedly dead. But now, that she knew that she was alive, she wanted to prove that she defeated the woman that defeated him. Sin was ecstatic, though it was not for a long time. What welcomed her, shocked her. Like Captain Carter, she thought Stella Rogers would be well-built and muscular. As that was what super soldier serum did to a human body, irrespective of gender.
Yet, it didn't apply for Stella Rogers. She was the complete opposite of Captain Carter. She was shorter than her. She was petite and looked like a frail woman. There were several questions in her mind. Was she really Captain America? How in the seven wonders that this woman defeated Red Skull? She was convinced that with just a simple slap, she would break down. But she was proven wrong. When she slapped her, Stella didn't even blink an eye. She was looking defiantly at her as if, she didn't even acknowledge her. That was when she realized that she missed something, her eyes, her beautiful crystal light blue eyes. What? Beautiful crystal blue eyes? What the heck was she thinking about? Forget it. The look she gave her was cold. If anyone would look into the depths of her eyes, they would see that her eyes held a killing intent in them. Although, her face, beautiful face...er, face was impassive and her tone was nonchalant. Whatever that was coming out of her very kissable mouth... ah, again. What was happening with her? Why? It was true that Stella was beautiful, very-very beautiful. She hadn't seen anyone that beautiful in entire her life. But that didn't stop her from being stubborn. Sin thought that when Stella would beg her to stop, she would stop. And by stop, she meant torturing. Instead, she defied her and Sin lost control. While Sin wanted Stella to beg, she couldn't help but be impressed by her tenacity. Sin wondered if Stella could withstand her stamina in the bad. Realizing what she just thought, she slapped herself.
Sin cursed herself. She shouldn't have been so angry at her. She should have just held her in her arms and kissed her until Stella was conscious. Again, why? She wanted to pull her hair out. Suddenly, she realised something. She had fallen in love with the person she wanted to kill. The person whose death would prove her worth.
'Is this what they call love at first sight?' thought Sin.
Understanding that she indeed had fallen in love, Sin knew that she was in deep trouble. All her plans were meaningless. If that wasn't enough, she went ahead and tortured her, leaving her hurt and alone on the floor. When did it started? Was it when she looked at her for the first time? Or when she didn't blink an eye when she slapped her? All-in-all, Sin knew that she liked Stella. It might be love or just a fleeting crush, but she didn't want to take any risk.
Suddenly, Mother Night interrupted her musing. She asked, "Are you alright? You look like you have done something that you regret. You have even slapped yourself."
Sin stuttered, "I-I a-am alright. W-what c-could h-h-happen to me?"
Frowning at her, Mother Night said, "If you say so."
Sin got up from her seat. She decided that she would go to Stella. Whether she was lying or not it didn't matter, what mattered that she needed medical help, and Sin was more than happy to provide it. Although, she wouldn't admit.
"Where are you going?"
"I am going back to her. She needs medical help otherwise, she would die."
Intrigued, Mother Night asked, "Why? You are not someone who would care about these trivial matters. Then, why?"
Sin monotoned, "It's because HYDRA needs her, we need her."
Mother Night nodded and agreed, "Fine." Sin left the room and headed towards Stella's supposed room.
STELLA'S POV—
I saw Sin entering my room, again. She was holding a box in her hand. I asked, "Are you here to torture me again? If so then, do it. Or are you here to discuss on Red Skull's matter? As I said before, I would help you in your revenge." I was really hoping that she came here to negotiate about the second option.
Hearing my words, her face contorted in anger. She yelled, "Shut the fuck up! I am just here to treat you."
I was shocked. She wants to treat me? Me? Why? This madwoman first tortures me and then, she wants to treat me. Is she mad? I mean, yes, she is a madwoman. But why treat your enemy? She hates me. Although, there is a change on how she looks at me. But I can't figure it out.
She walked towards me and lifted my chair. She put me in an upright position, just how a chair should be.
I asked, "Why?"
She replied, "Because I have something in my mind. I am here to test it," she wanted to grab my face but she stopped her hand in mid-air, "I am very lenient towards you. Be glad, that I am even treating you, with my own hands."
I sassed, "Oh! Thank you. I am very grateful that you are treating me. I—"
She stopped me from completing my sentence by roughly applying the medicine on my cheek. I hissed in pain. I looked at her and yelled, "Be gentle. If you want to treat me then, apply the medicine more gently. You are hurting me."
Sin blushed from my words. What the fuck is wrong with her? What's with this reaction? In the comics, Sin along with Crossbones, killed Captain America. Is her character setting has a sadistic trait in it? I don't know.
Composing herself, she mocked, "You didn't even flinch from my torture. But you are crying when I am applying medicine on your wounds. Are you mad?"
What! I should be the one asking you, not the other way around. Hah! Forget it. If she wants to treat me, then I will not disturb her. One thing that I am certain is, Sin is weird.
After finishing my treatment, she said, "Now that I have treated you, I am going." Saying that, she turned her back at me and started walking towards the door. Seeing her leaving again, I yelled from her behind.
"What about my proposal?"
Not even looking at me, she said, "We will see about that."
Huh, what? She treated me and then, just went away. She didn't even answer to my proposal. I was right. Sin is weird.
