( Yuuki's POV )

I opened a portal to the soul society and poked my head through there, what I saw was an infinite darkness and a barely visible path that led to a light in the distance, That was not an acceptable path so I returned to Kouten to make some adjustments and when we entered the portal again and now the place was a well-lit corridor,

and at the end of the place we found a sliding door.

Crossing the second gate, we ended up on a green hill overlooking a large circular city, the outer ring looked like an ancient Japanese city, And the center was a more luxurious and clean place, with buildings that stretched high into the sky.

Yuuki: Is this the right place?

Matsuri: Yes, thank you for bringing us, we have to report to our squad, but when we're free, we can give you a tour of the place.

Yuuki: that sounds good.

With that, the soul reaper twins went on their way, and after a moment, we did the same, although before we got to the city we saw a strange building far away, that place had a pair of giant fists coming out of the ground, maybe a place to visit when we are returning.

When we arrived in the city we saw that all the people were wearing similar simple clothes, so we were standing out but no one did anything about us, Most of the roads in this place were dirt but when we approached the central area, the place was covered by marble floor, those outside the place didn't even walk near it, that's how clear the division between the places was, it would be best not to get too close so we turned around.

That was the plan but suddenly an ancient alarm started ringing, the sound of a lot of wooden plates resonated throughout the place and huge stone walls fell from the sky, I activated my kagune in its first form and I protected the girls from the small sandstorm that was created when the walls fell exactly at the division of the two areas of the city.

Erica: Is that an alarm for us?

Yuuki: I somehow doubt it.

Tsukiumi: Maybe the twins will give us some information later.

Yuuki: yes, unless this has something to do with them.

The people in this place ran to their homes scared so I didn't think this was a normal occurrence and it was too much of a coincidence that this happened when we arrived here, In front of us was a huge thick wooden door, I decided to investigate what was happening so I raised one of my hands to make a passage for us but Lucoa was faster than me, creating a sphere of dark energy that blew up the giant door completely, I gave her a look and she just responded with a smile.

Yuuki: Lucoa take care of our escape.

Lucoa: ok~

We entered the place, and quickly, a group of soul reapers gathered in front of us.

Yuuki: Just to be clear, we're not going to have any casualties here.

Tsukiumi stepped forward and pushed all the enemies back with a large wave attack, those soul reapers could do nothing to defend themselves and I used the water she had conjured to create a huge water dragon, just like when I rescued Haruhime, with that dragon grabbing most of the attention we went to where the twins were.

I could recognize their energy signals and I could sense that they were on the run, upon going to their location we saw the twins being chased by a large group of soul reapers, In addition, Fujimaru had a serious wound on his right arm, Harribel and I fired some Ceros attacks at the feet of the pursuers to stop them but some remained standing so I used my gravity control to keep them on the ground.

Yuuki: Hey, you guys can't go a day without getting into trouble.

Matsuri: Yuuki, can you help us? We need to leave this place.

Yuuki: You don't even have to ask.

There was no time for details, so I didn't ask questions, I wasn't tall enough to lend Fujimaru a shoulder, so Harribel helped Matsuri carry him.

With the water dragon causing a distraction we had no trouble escaping, at the door we found Lucoa surrounded by a bunch of unconscious soul reapers, When we were reunited I teleported us back to Kouten, There we threw Fujimaru into the infirmary and I asked Matsuri why they were attacked and her answer immediately created theories in my head.

Matsuri: I don't know, when we reported back, we were immediately blamed for the recent soul reaper disappearances.

Yuuki: Just to be sure, you guys didn't do that right?

Matsuri: Of course not!

When I confirmed that she was telling the truth, I concluded that Sasaki must have had a hidden ally, when they saw the twins return alive, they probably decided to frame them to cover their own tracks.

Yuuki: Whoever blamed you will keep a low profile for the time being, if he is clever, at least, it would be best if you did not return there.

Matsuri: What are we going to do now?

Yuuki: If you want, you can come with us.

The soul reapers had spiritual bodies that couldn't interact with normal humans so I took a few minutes to create artificial bodies for the twins, and then we went home.
