( Arata's POV )

Sun, Sagiri, and I continued on our way to school in silence, I had questions about the things they were keeping secret, but it wouldn't be good to talk about it openly, and talking about normal student stuff felt kind of weird.

Chisaki: Arata good morning.

Chisaki was also waiting for me to walk to school, and she was a very sociable person, so I thought she could fix this awkward silence, but when she saw the girls next to me, she was speechless for a moment.

Chisaki: Arata, who are those girls?

Arata: Oh this girl is Seto Sun, she is an old friend who just moved to the city, and this is Sagiri... Another old friend.

Chisaki: Sagiri? I think I saw you at school, I didn't know you were friends.

Sagiri: Our families have known each other for a while.

After the introductions, we continued on to school, and at least the girls chatted normally, most of the conversation was Chisaki asking Sun personal questions.

When we got to school, we saw what class we were in, and only Chisaki was in a different class.

Next was an assembly in the gym, and after that, a short class with our homeroom teacher we had free time, normally many students would keep their distance from me, but now I felt several gazes on me, but it was surely because Sun and Sagiri were close to me.

Arata: Hey, would you mind if we go somewhere more private? I still have a lot of questions.

Sagiri: Okay, we can go to the roof.

Arata: Perfect, I'll go get us some drinks.

Sun: I'll go with you.

Arata: No, it's okay, I can do it alone.

As the girls went to the roof, I passed by a vending machine, and as I walked, I kept feeling stares on me, but I ignored that and headed to the roof.

???: Hey... Hey you! I'm talking to you.

When I was going to meet the girls, suddenly someone started calling me, I turned around and saw a boy with his hair standing up like a cone, I think he was in my class, but I couldn't remember his name.

Arata: Can I help you with something?

???: You can help by stopping walking around like the place belongs to you.

Arata: huh?

???: I know well who you are, but don't think you're the top dog here.

I didn't understand what he was saying about knowing well who I was, but I think he was trying to intimidate me, I wanted to ignore this, but when the thought that he might know about the supernatural world crossed my mind, I got a little serious.

The spiky-haired guy tried to grab the collar of my shirt but when he put his hand on me, another wave of black energy came out of my body, When that happened last time Chisaki ended up falling asleep for a moment, but now the bully was thrown against the wall, he hit his head hard and was knocked out, I approached to check if he was okay but my hand began to overflow with energy.

It seemed like another wave was going to be created but that stopped when someone took my hand and pulled me away from the place.

???: I think he's already learned his lesson, Mr. Scary, we better get away from here.

The one pulling me was a short girl with short blonde hair and yellow eyes, It seemed like this girl was taking me to the roof, but I pulled my hand from her halfway there.

Arata: Hey, who are you?

???: Oh, you're a bit impatient, my name is Urakata Urara, and I'm Sagiri's partner.

Arata: When you say partner, you mean that stuff.

I was referring to Sagiri's secret work, and to answer, the girl, Urara, gave me a wink and put a finger on her lips, with that confirmation, we continued going to the roof, but for some reason, she grabbed my hand again.

Arata: What are you doing?

Urara: this? I have sealing abilities, we don't want there to be another accident.

Urara had a good point, so we continued to the roof holding hands, and when we got there, Sun and Sagiri stared at our intertwined hands, when Urara noticed that, she quickly let go and raised her hands in surrender.

Sagiri: we are not engaged!

I sat down next to the girls and told them what had happened earlier with the bully, Sagiri scolded me saying that I should keep my spiritual powers in check, but it's not like I knew I had those skills, that was all new to me, Sagiri was very strict but Urara who was more relaxed said she could solve that, She rolled up one of my sleeves and painted a kind of seal on my shoulder to prevent a repeat of the accident from before.

Arata: Well, I already know that Sun comes from a family of Yakuza mermaids, but what are you?
