( Yuuki's POV )

When I turned the dark forest into the perfect stage for Shera's battle, She looked at me completely stunned, much like the night we met, I didn't think I would still cause that reaction to this point.

Shera: Yuuki... who are you exactly?

Yuuki: I can answer that if you're curious, but first focus on what we came for, we don't have all night.

Shera: Oh right, sorry.

I shook my head, and from my storage, I took out some special arrows with black crystal tips, which I placed in Shera's hands.

Shera: What is this?

Yuuki: A hidden Ace, I don't know what will appear but you can use this if you find yourself pushed against the ropes.

Shera: Thanks.

After taking the special arrows I had created Shera began to pour her energy into the magic circle, she did not hold back listening to what I had told her and when I felt her energy running out I took her hand and transferred some of mine, She turned to look at me, somewhat surprised, but with a look I told her to concentrate on the ritual.

After a few minutes, the magic circle started to react and we backed away, I jumped onto the branch of a tree while Shera prepared her bow, We heard a powerful thunder and in the middle of the circle a giant bird appeared with two pairs of wings, its feathers were silver as if they were made of metal, its red eyes were bright like rubies and its body was covered in electricity.

Yuuki: is that a Thunderbird? Hey Shera, I wouldn't let it grab me if I were you, that thing will paralyze you and eat you in one bite.

Listening to my advice Shera shot a couple of arrows at the Thunderbird and she took more distance at the same time, the giant bird flapped its wings to deflect her arrows, Shera ran in circles around the bird, she raised her bow to shoot but the Thunderbird took flight at that moment, from above it clapped its wings and fired a thunderbolt towards Shera, She was able to dodge but when the lightning exploded on the ground and Shera was thrown against a tree.

Before she could get up, the Thunderbird flew into a dive towards Shera, at which point she could only close her eyes and brace for impact, but the impact never came with my bony tails, I wrapped the Thunderbird, and while she was struggling on the ground, I helped Shera to get up.

Yuuki: Hey, do you think you can continue?

Shera: I'm fine, let me continue.

Yuuki: Ok, catch your breath.

Shera dusted off her clothes and I dragged the Thunderbird away from her, when Shera recovered I released the giant bird, She remained wary of me but I retracted my tails and put my hands behind my head, the creature understood the message and continued its battle with Shera, who looked more determined and this time she took one of the arrows that I had given her, She stood firm and as she drew her bow the crystal tip absorbed her magical energy and when she released it the arrow flew at incredible speed, which the Thunderbird could barely dodge, the arrow continued its flight and when it hit the barrier it created a big magical explosion, The two were surprised by the power of the attack and quickly came to a realization, the first to land a solid attack will be the winner.

The Thunderbird fired thunderbolts more frantically, but Shera put everything into dodging those attacks, she was waiting for an opening, but the Thunderbird wasn't giving in, as Shera began to lose stamina, she was caught in another lightning blast and was knocked to the ground again.

Shera closed her eyes and the Thunderbird went for another dive but this time I didn't intervene, this was what Shera wanted, when the Thunderbird was in flight Shera opened her eyes, raised her bow and let her arrow fly, the Thunderbird in panic tried to dodge but it was too late, the arrow hit center mass and the Thunderbird rolled on the ground until it crashed into a tree.

After emerging victorious, Shera tried to get up, but using those two arrows left her very drained and while she was recovering, I moved next to the Thunderbird.

Yuuki: That should be enough to consider Shera your new master, right?

I faced the Thunderbird even though she was twice as tall as me, she lowered her head in submission, and then I healed the two Shera and the Thunderbird, after we we moved to the magic circle to end the ritual, a giant bird couldn't be very conspicuous so I put some of my power into the creature so that it could transform in the same way as Grimm and when Shera gave it a new name the ritual was over.

Yuuki: With this pact, the master and the servant will share some power and abilities, try to concentrate to see if you feel something new.

Shera followed my instructions, and soon, a bit of lightning ran through her fingers, but that quickly disappeared, her energy had not yet been refilled, so that was to be expected.

Yuuki: Congratulations on the successful ritual, return to the temple and take a good rest, I will see you tomorrow.

Shera: Wait, didn't you say you were going to tell me more about yourself?

I turned around and prepared to head back home, but before I could, Shera grabbed my hand to stop me.

Yuuki: kinda was hoping you had forgotten that, Ok let's walk to the temple I'll talk on the way.

Shera: um.

I had told him a little about myself before, but this time, I went into more detail in my story, although she came from a fantasy world, there were some things I said that surprised her, and when I finished the story, she was silent for a few seconds.

Yuuki: And what is your story, Shera? If you listen to mine it is only fair that I listen to yours.

Shera: There's not much to say really, just someone who wanted to be an adventurer to gain some freedom.

Yuuki: Sounds like a good reason.

Obviously, there was a history behind what Shera said, but if she didn't want to share, I didn't want to pressure her.

Shera: Yuuki, when your family comes for you... would it be okay if they accompany you?

Yuuki: uh?

Shera: Your kingdom, sounds like a place I would like to visit.

Yuuki: Sure, my friends are always welcome in my castle.
