Ishtar leaned back in her chair, looking at the man wearing a vintage suit.

"Why bother coming out now?" she asked, making him look at her.

'Samyaza' smiled. "You know exactly why."

Despite fighting with six demigods simultaneously, he still could be present here.

Even fragmented, even divided across battlefields, he felt whole.

A being who is omnipresent.

Ishtar exhaled slowly, tapping her fingers against the armrest.

She studied him for a moment, then leaned forward. "You're getting desperate."

Samyaza's smile didn't waver. "Am I?"

Her lips curved. "A godkiller running around for nothing? If you weren't desperate, you'd still be watching from the shadows."

Samyaza tilted his head. "Or maybe I'm just bored."

"Bored enough to throw away everything?" Ishtar asked, looking at him.

Samyaza smiled as he looked towards his side. "I don't have anything to lose."

As they both sat on a hill of a mountain, the whole city was clearly visible.

The destruction all over the city, the lingering smell of blood, the crying civilians—he could see everything.

"What poor souls they are," he said, but his face showed no sympathy. "Dying because of someone else's anger."

Ishtar scoffed. "Don't pretend you aren't the reason for it."

Samyaza nodded his head as he leaned back on the chair.

Gazing up at the sky, he questioned, "How are things going with the Trinity?"

Ishtar remained silent for a while.

Her puppet moved at her will as she placed one leg over the other.

"Baal's Avatar is trying to do his own thing," she replied quietly. "Molech is still trying to find his way back from hell."

Samyaza chuckled. "That bullhead can't get anything right."

Ishtar quietly looked at him. There wasn't any anger in her eyes.

"I assume Baal's Avatar is moving on his own without his influence," Samyaza said, still keeping his gaze on the sky.

Ishtar remained silent, but that was enough for him to understand.
