Reincarnated as Slaanesh in Marvel

Chapter 22: Chapter 22

POV Narrator

"Come here, you little shit! I'm going to kill you!"

At the Brotherhood of Mutants' base, Sabretooth's shouts echoed as he chased after Rogue.

"Panting" She didn't respond, only kept running while panting and occasionally letting a tear slip.

"Got you!" Sabretooth yelled as he leaped at Rogue with his claws extended.

Rogue could only glance over her shoulder and see the man, who to her seemed more beast than human, pouncing towards her.

"Alright, that's enough." Suddenly, a crimson-red aura enveloped Sabretooth. Rogue, thinking Victor was about to strike her down, instinctively prepared to brace for an impact that never came, causing her to fall backward.

Rogue looked toward the voice and found someone even more terrifying than an enraged Victor—Magneto. She wanted to say something, but the words got stuck in her throat.

"Wanda, let him go," ordered the Brotherhood's leader to his daughter, who obeyed, while his son simply watched with an expression that showed he found the whole situation amusing.

"I was waiting for both of you to wake up to ask what happened during the mission, given that no other member really knows the truth. So I suppose it's important if you're acting this way," Magneto said in a serious tone that made it clear he wasn't pleased with the mission's results or his subordinates' actions.

"It was this damn bitch! She just showed up while I was fighting the runt, and instead of helping me, she threw acid on me!" Victor shouted furiously. It was obvious that if not for Magneto's presence, he would have attacked the young girl right then and there.

Magneto remained silent for a few seconds as he observed his subordinates before speaking. "What do you have to say in your defense, girl?"

"I..." Rogue hesitated, thinking about what to say. Ever since she touched Vela, she hadn't been fully aware of her actions, but upon waking, she remembered everything perfectly. She knew Victor was telling the truth.

She considered lying and claiming that Victor had attacked her first, but under Magneto's piercing gaze, she didn't dare.

"I... I attacked Sabretooth," she admitted in resignation. Upon hearing her response, Victor grinned, revealing all his sharp teeth. Pietro raised an eyebrow, Magneto's expression remained the same but with a deeper frown, and Wanda asked:

"Why?"

"... Pyro and I fought that girl, the one with a tail and a shell. At first, she and Pyro battled. At some point, I realized that Vela—or Velariel, which is her real name—was completely focused on Pyro. So I took the opportunity, and after she knocked Pyro unconscious, I touched her from behind..." Rogue paused before continuing in a weaker voice.

"At first, everything seemed normal. I felt myself copying her memories—she lives on the outskirts of New York with her mother and occasional visits from her uncle. She never knew her father, and her mother kept her locked inside the house until she was five. Then she joined the X-Men school. After two years of training, she officially became an X-Men member, and this was her first mission."

"Wait, she's only seven years old?" Pietro asked in disbelief.

"Yes."

Magneto shook his head. "Xavier must really be desperate to resort to using children this young. Alright, continue."

"I've told you before, that's by far the worst part of my power. But yesterday, I encountered an exception..." Rogue's breathing quickened as she recalled what had happened. "H-her blood is acidic," she said. Everyone showed varying degrees of shock, but no one spoke.

"So I felt my blood turning acidic. Though my body also changed to resist it, I could still feel it burning me from the inside out..." She looked down, clutching her head with both hands and beginning to hyperventilate, yet she continued, either out of sheer determination to finish her explanation or fear of upsetting Magneto.

"I-I went into shock, a-and my body started acting on instinct, attacking everything in sight. The same thing happened to Vela—she had a training session with Logan that got out of control, and the same thing happened to her until they s-stopped her."

Finishing her story, she collapsed onto her knees, still clutching her head, crying and having a nervous breakdown.

Victor looked at her with unconcealed annoyance, murmuring something to himself. Pietro alternated glances between the girl and his father, looking uncomfortable. Wanda lifted a hand and opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something but closed it again, unable to find the words.

Magneto watched Rogue with an unreadable expression before sighing tiredly. "Wanda, take her to her room." Wanda obeyed. She first tried to touch Rogue but hesitated midway and, with a resigned look, simply used her powers to levitate the girl to her room.

Magneto watched them until they disappeared down the hallway. Then he turned to Sabretooth. "While I won't deny that her actions warrant punishment, I am the one who gives punishments here, not you. Understood?"

"That damn brat threw acid in my face, I..."

"Understood?"

Victor set a defiant look on his face, growling, to which Magneto responded with a cold stare.

The tension in the air was palpable, and Pietro cursed inwardly for not following his sister.

With growing impatience, Magneto clenched his fist, causing the hallway to creak. Seeing this, Victor's gaze did not waver, but he stopped growling, making the hallway quiet again.

He scowled even more before turning around and leaving, cursing under his breath.

Pietro let out a relieved sigh as the situation calmed down. Then his father spoke.

"I'm going to check on Mystique." With that, Magneto left his son alone in the hallway, who only then realized that everyone had ignored him, much to his irritation.

POV Magneto

I approached Raven's room. Out of courtesy, I knocked on the door, only to be met with the sound of a bottle smashing against the wall. Frowning at this, and out of patience, I simply opened the door and walked in.

What I found was Raven slumped over a table, surrounded by bottles, looking like a complete mess.

"You look terrible," I said bluntly as I sat across from her.

She just looked at me in silence, but her gaze seemed to ask, Seriously?

We remained silent. Normally, I let others speak first to guide the conversation, but seeing that Raven was more interested in grabbing another bottle than talking to me, I started speaking.

"Wanda told me about your encounter during the mission... That boy—"

"Yes, he's my son."

I had my suspicions, but hearing it from her own mouth was still a surprise.

When I was searching for the right words to say, she started speaking.

"During the time I was missing, I went to live in Germany. I was tired at that moment, so I just wanted to live peacefully for a while. That's when I got the idea to marry a local count so I could live well for a few years." She paused before continuing.

"With my abilities, it wasn't hard to win his heart, and for a few years, everything was fine. I was happy. The man had a trophy wife to show off, and I lived in luxury."

"The problem started when he wanted to have a child… To be honest, it wasn't the first time I tried to have children. I don't know if it's because of my Gen X or if I'm simply sterile, but I've never been able to conceive. So, the man kept trying and trying to produce an heir, and I pretended to be sad when it didn't happen. At some point, I thought he'd get tired and try with a mistress, but instead, it seems he did something else..." She paused again, her expression peculiar, as if even she doubted what she was about to say.

"It was just a normal day. He and I were still trying. But halfway through, he started changing—from a normal person into a man with red skin, horns, and a beard. Under normal circumstances, I would have punched the guy on the spot… but I think he drugged me or something because, at that moment, I didn't care. So, we did it. The next morning, I woke up with my husband in bed as if nothing had happened."

I looked at her, frankly surprised. Not just anyone could get that close to Raven and do something like that.

"Don't look at me like that. Even I thought it was just a dream or that someone had poisoned my food, causing me to hallucinate. So, imagine my surprise when, two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant."

She paused, looking at her hands, then at the mess in her room. So she stood up and started cleaning as she continued.

"Honestly, those were the nine most confusing months of my life—and I've lived for quite a while. It felt like watching a movie but not really paying attention to it. I remember my husband was happy, that we bought clothes for both a boy and a girl. They never did an ultrasound or anything. My husband said that would only ruin the surprise." She let out a dry laugh and continued, "And what a surprise he got when he saw his child was blue with a tail, and his wife turned into a blue being. Needless to say, he didn't take it well. So, he took the child and ran—God knows how many kilometers—right after I had given birth. At some point, I passed out in the forest, but both the child and I survived."

"After wandering around, I found a village where I stayed for about two weeks with the baby while I looked for information about…"

Seeing that she didn't continue, I asked, "Information about what?"

"About an orphanage I heard of that accepted mutant children…"

"Why did you leave him?" I barely had time to dodge the bottle she threw at me.

"Do I look like I'm made to be a mother, Erick?!" she shouted, unleashing all the anger she had been holding back.

"I'm the most wanted woman in the world! Do you think I could give a child a good life?!" she asked me, her golden eyes now filled with tears.

"What kind of life do you think I could have given him?! Being hunted from childhood just because of me?!" She collapsed to her knees, crying.

"I abandoned him, Erick. I abandoned my son."

If you're wondering, no, Rogue doesn't know anything about reincarnation or the system. I don't know if you remember, but at one point, Charles read Vela's mind and said some parts seemed blocked. This is part of Vela's reincarnation—everything about reincarnation itself and the system is blocked.

And yes, I remember that she has an ability that gives her defense against mind reading, but it's not infallible. If Charles or Jean really wanted to, they could read Vela's mind without much effort. However, it seems that even Vela herself would notice, and it would harm her. So, they decide it's better to leave things as they are. It won't be until the ability levels up that she will have true resistance.
