Reincarnated as Itsuka Shido: Collecting Spirits as Lovers

Chapter 81: Halvanhelev's Might

"Arrghh!!!!"

Jessica roared at the top of her lungs as she and the rest of the Wizards poured everything they had into stopping the terrifying black slash in front of them. However, no matter how desperately she screamed or how much they reinforced their defenses, it was meaningless.

They could only watch helplessly as each layer of their Territory shattered upon contact with the black slash, crumbling like fragile glass against its overwhelming power.

"I can't accept this! I will not accept this!!!" Jessica's scream echoed across the battlefield, her voice filled with rage and desperation as she and her team were being swallowed by the black slash's overwhelming energy.

"Perish and face the burden of your own recklessness." Shido said coldly as he stared at his attack that destroyed effortlessly and shattered the multi-layered Territory Jessica and her team had desperately erected.

Shido maintained an impassive expression, showing no outward signs of exhaustion, as he lowered Halvanhelev to his side. Yet, beneath his composed exterior, he could feel the toll it had taken.

He had to admit that using Halvanhelev was consuming his Reiryoku at an incredible Speed. Fortunately, he had a large quantity of Reiryoku he had gotten from sealing Reine and Tohka.

As Shido was thinking, Jessica's scream of agony and hatred echoed once more across the battlefield. However, he paid it no mind. At this point, her rage and suffering were nothing more than background noise to him.

He knew that even if they somehow survived, they would be in no condition to fight anytime soon. At best, they'd spend months bedridden, struggling to recover from the devastating attack.

On the other hand, Kusakabe and the Wizards from AST were dumbfounded by the terrifying attack that Shido unleashed, causing them to break out in a cold sweat.

None of them had ever witnessed such an overwhelming display of power before.

Even when Shido was still condensing energy on Halvanhelev, they could already feel their hair standing. However, the moment he unleashed the attack, all of them were scared out of their wits. They knew that half of the City would be destroyed if this attack landed there.

Fortunately, Shido had chosen to take the battle to the skies. Otherwise, Kusakabe couldn't even begin to fathom how she would have handled the aftermath.

Meanwhile, Origami's reaction was entirely different. Rather than fear, excitement surged through her veins as she gazed at the destructive attack that seemed to annihilate everything in its path.

In the past, her desire to become stronger stemmed from her thirst for revenge against the Spirits who took her parents. However, that goal has changed. Now, she sought strength not for vengeance but to stand beside Shido, to fight alongside him and support him.

Nevertheless, as she looks at Shido, who was showing a cold and sharp gaze while clad in purple and white armor. Origami couldn't help but bite her lower lip as she suddenly felt her body become hotter.

Watching his purple eyes that gleamed with coldness, Origami had to admit that this side of him was undeniably attractive.

Right now, she wanted to drag Shido in her apartment and make love with him however, their current situation didn't allow her to do so.

Origami was frustrated by this fact, so she decided that when this was over, she would call Shido to come to her apartment. And there, they would XOXO to her heart's content.

Despite Origami's cold and detached personality, she was actually quite docile in bed and allowed herself to be pounded by Shido.

However, she also likes it when she rides Shido while looking down at him from above. She had to admit that she might have a fetish for dominating Shido.

Origami enjoyed seeing Shido's excited and blissful face filled with pleasure. She couldn't wait for all of this to end and hoped that Jessica and the other Wizards from DEM would be defeated as soon as possible.

...

Meanwhile, as Origami was indulging in her perverted fantasies, Kotori's sharp voice rang out through Shido's earpiece.

"Shido, are you alright?" Kotori's tone was casual, yet a hint of concern lingered in her voice.

"Yeah, I just used too much Reiryoku, causing a bit of strain on my body."

"I see. That's good. After all, it would be hard to find replacement for you if something happened to you." Kotori's tone suddenly turned to a playful one when she heard that Shido just used too much energy. Her initial worry disappeared without trace.

Hearing Kotori's words, Shido was left speechless.

He couldn't help but wonder why she couldn't just be honest with herself and admit that she was worried about him. But then again, Shido knew that sealing Kurumi would probably be easier than getting Kotori to reveal her true feelings.

"Tsundere..." Shido couldn't help but mutter lowly, but Kotori's ear perked up, causing her tone to change to a sharp one.

"Huh?! You said something?!"

Even though Shido could only hear her voice, he knew that she looked like an angry demon right now so Shido didn't fight back.

"No Ma'am!"

"Good." Kotori nodded in satisfaction when she heard his response.

"Hurry up and finish that up already! Yoshino's emotional level was becoming unstable, You're making her worried!" Kotori decided to change the topic since she was afraid that they might go back to that Tsundere topic again if she said too much to him.

"Yes." Shido's tone shifted instantly at the mention of Yoshino.

However, Kotori was right, Yoshino's emotional state was unstable. Her heart was in turmoil after witnessing the massive explosion in the sky.

She was worried that Shido might be hurt, and for a moment, she was tempted to leave the barrier. However, she ultimately decided to stay, remembering Shido's reassuring words and his warm smile.

Additionally, Yoshinon continued to comfort her, coaxing her to be patient. So, Yoshino could only watch the sky helplessly, her blue eyes filled with quiet concern. If one looked closely, they would notice the faint shimmer of tears forming at the corners of her eyes while her lips were trembling ever so slightly.

Yoshino was on the verge of crying, but she held it back. She was a strong girl, and strong girls didn't cry.

...

"Shido-san..." Yoshino murmured, clenching her small hands as she stared blankly at the sky.

"Don't worry, Yoshino! Shido-kun will definitely defeat the enemy~" Yoshinon reassured her, striking a playful punching pose.

Looking at Yoshinon's silly antics, Yoshino couldn't help but let out a soft, crisp chuckle. The tension in her heart eased just a little, her mood gradually lifted by Yoshinon's comforting presence.

Just as Yoshino's emotional levels became stable again, another deafening explosion shook the sky. The sheer force of the blast was so immense that its shockwave reverberated across the ground.

Yoshino became worried once again, causing her Reiryoku to leak out. The once-dark sky rumbled ominously before heavy rain began pouring down, mirroring the turmoil in her heart.

Suddenly, several figures plummeted from the sky, smoke trailing behind them like a crashing airplane.

"Shido-san!!!" Yoshino cried out in alarm when she saw the figures fall. Without hesitation, she broke past the barrier and took off into the sky.

"O-Oh..." Yoshino could only utter those words as she let herself be dragged into the Sky with Yoshino.
