Chapter 209: Noah
"The boy… the anomaly is with her"
As soon as Emperor Cha reached the Glorious One's ears, the cavern instantly started to quake. The unstirred stalactites were starting to drop and hit the cavern's floor. But even as the sharp and gigantic icicles rain down on Emperor Cha, he did not dare move as he is in the presence of the Glorious One.
And slowly, the Glorious One slowly descended from the air. And like with the Earth Goddess Mirella, his ephemeral and gigantic body grew smaller and smaller until it was the size of that of a normal human.
His skin turned dark, almost black. His head retained its shape, bald. The muscles on his body were like that of a sculpture, carved by the finest artisans.
"G… Glorious One?", Emperor Cha could not help but stutter as he saw the Glorious One's human form.
"The anomaly must go…", the Glorious One uttered, "The Prophecy must not stray from its path"
"O… of course, O' Glorious One"
Emperor Cha blinked a couple of times as he tried to take a glance at the Glorious One's appearance. In truth, this was not the first time he was seeing the Glorious One in this form. A few hundred years ago, his late father, the previous Emperor, first brought him here to introduce him to the Glorious One.
At first, the young Emperor Cha could not believe that the man that was in front of him could be a deity, a true god. But when the Glorious One showed him what he was capable of, all the doubts that he had all went out of the window. The only thing he could do was kneel in front of this supreme being alongside his father.
He had been dormant for a few hundred years after that. But with the defeat of the Evil Monarch, he called Emperor Cha once more to his caverns.
He told him about the Prophecy that he created. He told him that the True Devil has yet to awaken and that the True Hero has not yet even been born.
The only thing that was on Emperor Cha's mind at that time was confusion. The True Devil, The True Hero? But the war of the west was over. Why did the Glorious One suddenly take interest in a war that only reached their doorstep?
But the Glorious One was a deity, and all Emperor Cha could do was obey. Whatever the Prophecy that was laid by the Glorious One, it must not stray by all means.
Emperor Cha's mission was to help the Prophecy come true and to follow the Glorious One's orders to the letter.
And follow he did. Everything was going fine for the first few years, they had injected people in the west to make the Prophecy go smoothly and bring the True Hero here, to the east, away from those that wished to harm her.
But one existence jeopardized and deviated the whole Prophecy. A boy.
As soon as Viel's existence came to light, everything instantly diverted. It was also the first and only time ever that Emperor Cha had seen the Glorious One's emotions fluctuate, until now, that is.
The Glorious One…
...was the one who ordered the death of Viel's adoptive grandfather… and was also the one that caused his grandmother to be ill. He wanted to see what Viel was capable of, so he had to trigger him into action.
Once again, the Glorious One's emotions shifted as Viel put the whole city of Taizhou in lockdown. The boy's powers… was far more than he had ever imagined.
He threatened not only the Prophecy but the Glorious One himself. They instantly began to formulate their plan on how to get rid of the boy and how to continue the Prophecy. But then another anomaly appeared, the appearance of the Dungeons.
Everything started with the boy, was what the Glorious One said to Emperor Cha. And with his disappearance, the plan once again was on the right path.
But when Cha Jin-ri brought Yinji here, along with the boy, Emperor Cha was shocked as to how normal his strength was.
He was only at the Initial Stage of the Earthen Core Realm, barely even stepping into the world of cultivation. That was when Emperor Cha knew how dangerous Viel really is.
For him to be capable of all those feats even as a fledgling… How strong would he be when he grows older?
"What are your orders, O' Glorious one?", Emperor Cha whispered.
"No", the Glorious One quickly replied, the authority and the wise tone in the Glorious One's voice were gone, "From now on, you will only address me as Noah", he said, his tone now completely mundane.
"The army you've gathered, bring them to the west", he added.
"A… already, O' Glo… Noah?", Emperor Cha could not help but stutter.
"Yes", Noah placed his hand on Emperor Cha's shoulder, causing him to tremble minutely, "The anomaly is speeding the events faster than I would like"
"I… will do as you wish, Noah", Emperor Cha kneeled further to the ground.
"As for me…", Noah slightly chuckled, his god-like demeanor nowhere to be seen,
"I believe it's time for me and the boy to meet"

"This… is Quinn City?"
Charlotte has had her head poking out of the carriage for half an hour now. She kept staring at the colossal wall that encased and protected her city. It would seem that like Taizhou, Quinn city recovered from its demise and was rebuilt even stronger than before.
There were all sorts of people lining up and wanting to enter the city, some were in drags probably looking for shelter, and some were like them, riding in the luxuries of their carriage.
But the city seemed to favor no one, as both the poor and rich alike were ordered to line up properly if they wanted to enter the city.
"Something's not right"
Charlotte quickly withdrew her head from the window as soon as she heard Viel's seemingly serious tone. It wasn't only her, all of the people in the carriage also stopped their conversations and placed their attention towards Viel.
"What… what is it?"
