Reincarnated as Ash: A Pokémon Tale

Chapter 14: The Journey to Viridian City

--------

After a day of training on Route 1, Ash felt a surge of excitement as Pikachu unleashed a powerful Electro Ball, marking a significant milestone in their journey.

Pikachu had just leveled up to Level 12 and had mastered Volt Tackle, Wish, and Fake Out.

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over the landscape. They had made significant progress, strengthening their bond as they continued their adventure.

As they walked, Ash suddenly spotted a familiar sight—a Spearow flying overhead. This was the same one from the anime that had caused trouble for Ash and his friends.

The wild Spearow landed nearby, squawking aggressively, its wings flapping wildly as it eyed Pikachu and Ash.

Without hesitation, it launched itself at them with a ferocious Peck. Pikachu quickly dodged the attack, his instincts kicking in.

"Pikachu, dodge and use Volt Tackle!" Ash commanded.

"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed, determination shining in his eyes as he swiftly sidestepped the Spearow's attack. With a surge of energy from the Light Ball he held, Pikachu launched himself forward with an electrifying Volt Tackle.

As Pikachu struck, Ash shouted, "Now, follow up with Electro Ball!"

"Pika-pika!" Pikachu called out, gathering electric energy in his tail before releasing a bright Electro Ball that soared toward Spearow.

With its pride unyielding, Spearow shook its head and flapped its wings furiously, feathers ruffled in defiance. "Spearow! Spear!" it squawked, refusing to back down.

The wild Spearow charged at Pikachu with surprising speed, its beak aimed directly at him. Just as it struck, Ash shouted, "Pikachu, counter with Double Team!"

Pikachu responded instantly, creating multiple afterimages that confused Spearow momentarily. The wild Pokémon flapped its wings in frustration, its aggressive cries echoing through the air as it struggled to figure out which Pikachu was real.

After a few more exchanges, Ash commanded, "Pikachu, use Fake Out!"

With a quick motion, Pikachu sprang forward, catching Spearow off guard. The wild bird flinched momentarily, its eyes wide with surprise, giving Pikachu a precious moment to capitalize on.

"Electro Ball again!" Ash shouted, and Pikachu unleashed another Electro Ball, striking Spearow and causing it to wobble in the air.

Seizing the opportunity, Ash threw a Poké Ball with precision. The ball shook violently before clicking shut, signaling a successful capture.

Once the Poké Ball stopped moving, Ash released Spearow back into the open air. The wild Pokémon fluffed its feathers and looked around, a mix of curiosity and hesitation in its eyes.

Ash smiled warmly. "Welcome to the team!" he said as he took out the Arc Pokédex. The device flew out of his pocket on its own, projecting a holographic screen.

Ash noted the information and then looked at Spearow, who appeared slightly worn out from the battle.

He quickly took a Potion from his bag. "Time to help you heal," he said gently, spraying the potion on Spearow's wounds with care.

After the battle, Ash felt the sun beginning to set, casting long shadows across the ground.

He knew they needed to set up camp soon. Just then, the Arc Pokédex chimed in again, "Warning: Rain is expected tonight. It is advisable to find shelter near the large tree."

"Thanks for the heads-up, Arc!" Ash replied. He guided Pikachu and Spearow toward the large tree that stood majestically against the fading light.

Once they arrived, Ash quickly set up the tent, a routine that had become second nature to him. After preparing dinner—a hearty meal for himself and special Pokémon food for Pikachu and Spearow—he sat by the fire, feeling satisfied with their day's work.

After dinner, Ash cleaned up and settled into the tent, the cool breeze rustling the leaves above. With Pikachu curled up beside him and Spearow resting nearby, Ash felt a sense of peace.

"We've had a great start, haven't we?" Ash said softly, gazing at the stars twinkling in the night sky. "Tomorrow, we'll continue to get stronger, and I promise to train both of you well."

As he drifted off to sleep , Planning for next day in his mind and ready of what await next day.
