A storm was brewing across a vast section of the planet's ocean, the waves were becoming more choppy as the wind slowly but surely picked up speed. If viewed from space, you would see a familiar hole in the storm's centre, placing this as a hurricane.
But the catch is that it isn't hurricane season in those regions, making this storm an anomaly that could only be brought on by some supernatural force. An ancient monument could be seen if we peek beneath the huge wave and dive all the way to the ocean floor. It was huge with numerous cracks and other deformation from the ocean but its aesthetic appeal could still be seen giving it a beautiful appearance.
In the heart of the immense underwater monument. A swirling hologram of light and water illuminated the sombre face of the ruler of vast seas in this world of none other than Poseidon. The Sea God's piercing blue eyes glimmered as they fixated on the image before him, a chaotic recording of an otherworldly anomaly wreaking havoc on the surface world. His towering trident, encrusted with a dull gold coating, dimly glowed in the low light, rested beside him as he leaned forward, studying the spectacle before him with a focused gaze.
The footage unfolded like a piece of fantasy plucked from one's imagination. An otherworldly battleship ploughed through an array of monsters that would make even the most seasoned heroes quake in fear. Operating without a crew, the anomaly acted as if it possessed an unyielding soul of its own, its mighty turrets and advanced systems blazing with relentless fury and destruction. Poseidon's voice, deep as the ocean's depths, echoed throughout the chamber.
"The anomaly," he muttered, his tone equal parts fascination and foreboding. "Her fury knows no bounds."
The hologram shifted, replaying the anomaly's first battle in this new world she found herself in. She met the giant shark timidly but steeled herself since it was only a Megalodon, the monstrous predator of the seas. The creature's colossal body slammed against her but it didn't have enough mass to push around the 72,000 tons of steel that made her up, her cannons roared, sending salvo after salvo tearing through the beast's flesh. The Megalodon's roars churned the ocean, but it was no match for her relentless assault. Poseidon's lips curled faintly as he whispered, "Even the fiercest shark of my domain could not match her."
Another scene took form: the anomaly battling a Kraken amid a dazzling night show of bio-luminescent creatures. Tentacles as thick as castle walls lashed out, pulling the entire ship into the air seemingly effortlessly. She fired precision strikes, severing limb after limb until the beast had a hole blown clean through its body ending its pain as its form sank into the dark depths, leaving only silence behind.
"Magnificent," Poseidon mused. "But… reckless."
His tone darkened as the display shifted to something far more grotesque, a fused abomination of crab and lobster, its massive claws smashing into her superstructure, snapping them clean. This creature had been a menace, yet even it succumbed to the anomaly's hidden card, high explosives even though its shell could deflect fricking AP. [*Worcester noises intensifying*]
The hologram transitioned to her battles on land, and Poseidon's expression hardened. Goblins swarmed her, overwhelming in number. Their weapons scraped her plating denting it due to their power boost, yet she endured, her main guns blasting craters into the earth and her secondary turrets mowing them down like grass. The battlefield became a smouldering graveyard and a little while later irradiated as multiple nukes were sent off in the area.
Then came the Indominus Rex. The colossal predator roared across the battlefield. Its speed and cunning matched her ferocity in some way, forcing her to unleash everything in her arsenal. Yet they all proved useless when the Rex unveiled its power up and was going to stomp her were it not for its foolishness and biting into one of her turrets that contained an armed Type-99 nuke in it, leading to detonation and the death of lizard king.
Poseidon's fingers drummed against his throne as the image shifted once more. "And then, her greatest trials," he muttered.
The lightning wolf—a beast cloaked in storms. Bolts of electricity danced along its fur, scorching the earth with every step. She fought valiantly using all means at her disposal, but the wolf's agility outpaced even her advanced targeting and its tenacity was formidable as it broke past its limits only to meet an untimely end due to underestimating its foe. Smoke rose from her superstructure, her systems flickering, but she was victorious—barely.
Finally, the wind wolf. A creature so powerful, it seemed to embody the fury of storms. Before this final battle, she had upgraded her sensors to the SPY-7 array, equipping herself with the most advanced AEGIS system. Even with this cutting-edge technology, she struggled. The wolf's attacks moved faster than any supersonic missiles before, it was a blur of destruction once it awakened into its werewolf state. Her guns fired relentlessly, but the beast's ultimate attack—a cleaving strike of wind—tore through her, splitting her hull in two. Alarms blared as her systems failed, and for a moment, Poseidon's hologram flickered, showing only smoke and wreckage.
But even on death's doors, she was defiant. As the wolf loomed over her shattered hulls, her remaining magazines detonated in a catastrophic explosion. The blast lit up the sky, vaporizing the wolf and reducing the battlefield to a smoking crater while an ominous mushroom cloud loomed over the blast sight. When the light faded, nothing but charred wreckage remained.
Poseidon leaned back, his expression unreadable. "Yet, she rises again. Cheating death and reclaiming her hull." His voice was a low rumble, filled with both admiration and unease. "Will she continue to tip the balance? Or has she become the very chaos that will destroy this world?"
He glanced at the hologram, now showing the strange ship healed, her hull repaired, and sailing forward into the horizon bathed in the light of a dying sun. Poseidon's lips twisted into a smirk. "How will the gods react when they see their creations fall, one by one? And the angels… will they see her as an anomaly and oust her or will they defy the rules placed on them and use the ship for their own needs??"
His thoughts drifted to the high-ranking demon Seline, who had reportedly partnered with the anomaly. He chuckled darkly. "How curious. What game is she playing? Perhaps even she underestimates the force of destruction she has chosen to walk beside."
Poseidon rose from his throne, gripping his trident with a firm hand. His towering form cast a shadow across the hologram. He turned to leave but paused, glancing back one last time at the image of the anomaly disappearing into the horizon. A faint chuckle escaped him.
"The anomaly, that strange battleship," he said, his voice a quiet rumble. "A storm that will either reshape the balance of power or shatter it entirely. Let us see what fate she weaves."
With that, he strode out of the chamber, leaving the flickering hologram behind. The waves outside roared as the hurricane above picked up speed seemingly as a symbol of the changing world around them that slowly edges to chaos.
Thank you for reading
