Reincarnated as a Super Battleship

Back again with a filler chapter which is why you see .5

As always life absolutely doesn't not think of me as my planned schedule was crumbled up, sliced, burnt, atomized and imploded. All in all my schedule was messed up badly as it seems that I'll be busy till December 15 where hopefully I can begin normal updates after a brief rest as all this mental work is making me more sleepy than ever.

This chapter we won't follow Haruka as she's being gutted apart by the main body of the wolf, no.

We'll be following one little demon girl through the abyss as I've realized that i haven't properly fleshed out the demons background nor the abyss itself.

This will be a normal chapter of 8k words so straight to reading.

Brief rewind of time to before the events of CHP 4 or before the battle of the battleship and the lightning wolf.

The strongest survive while the weak die.

That is a universal rule that all forms of life follow, be it in a different dimension or reality this primordial rule is always there.

And in the world that Haruka found herself in, that rule could not be more emphasized. All her trials required a power, it required the power to obliterate her enemies to burnt husks by dropping a sun or two.

However, even if she has the power of a sun she cannot compete against the primordial creators of this world. Forged from the fiery destruction and birth of their star, they have the power to control all elements and a strength which could not be measured. They grew with the solar system, watching as planets big and small, gas giants with their immense gravity, form and take shape.

Until in the millions of years that passed their sights landed on the fourth planet of that system, its crust covered with dark blue oceans and large masses of green. This beautiful sight of untouched, pristine nature drew these primordials as they made that planet their home.

From here on out, history becomes quite confusing almost as if the writers had been hearing the wrong thing or something along those lines as there were cases of these primordials meeting the spirit of the planet, Ashera, in some cases.

From there titans appeared shaking the world as they claimed it from their fathers who in some text were said to be beaten by their sons and lost the bet to stay on the planet, but this where we come to the first problem -where did the titans come from.

If you didn't know Ashera is a she, if not go get your eyes checked, some texts say that over the hundreds of years Ashera only grew in beauty until on a primordial couldn't keep it in and had kids, other texts say that the power leaking from these beings mixed and poof them into existence. This strange divide was further divided due to the appearance of monsters that went rampant and destroyed most known species of the face of Ashera.

The blame was tossed around from primordials, to titans to even their own power that gave them their immense strength, but Ashera wasn't about to have it as she made a prison for these beasts at her core. An endless area where the monsters would be contained, the abyss.

Soon enough the monsters were in prison but then Ashera still had a lot of destruction left to clean up in the wake of the monsters. Until she found out that basically all strong creatures were wiped save for a few but weak creatures roamed the land making the spirit sigh thinking of how long it had taken for life to even reach that strength.

And so she rounded up the titans and made them the protectors of life, as if it would work. They mostly created monsters for their own pleasure using their blood and sometimes releasing said monsters to the wild.

This abuse of power made Ashera realize that she needed to control it, thus the light realm or heaven in human terms was created tasked with protection of life and order.

After light was formed another mystery occured with so called gods appearing usurping the titans for the mantle of protecting life where they killed and outright changed some into monsters while others were spared.

With this last change life was finally making steps forward until a large metal battleship appeared to overthrow the balance.

Location Abyss

The abyss was thought to be nothing but the mana core of the planet until it wasn't that. This was the home of demons, those that bring fear in kids whenever their mentioned.

Its kill or be killed in these parts, the strong rule while the weak perish. That has been the case since birth or hatching in other cases. That was what our demon knew ever since she was born into this hell.

Currently, we see her flying over the hell landscape the air full of sulphur and ash from the numerous eruptions that happen in that level and the ground a red tint due to the heat and literally rivers of lava that flow all over that join to form one large main lava river that flows to the lower levels or so what others say.

She sighed as her wings flapped again giving her burst of speed that could be compared to a bullet train at its fastest. The ground was but a blur beneath her until a familiar cliff appeared in view, this gave her a kind of pleasure at finally returning home.

The closer we got to the cliff the more we realized how massive it was rivalling some mountains in our world and dotted on the cliff wall were numerous holes that led to a deep network of tunnels. However she knew which one to enter as she carefully marked in such a way that none else can picture it.

Her body easily fit through the open tunnel as she shifted her body upwards while flapping her wings slowing her down until her metal boots hit the floor of the tunnel. Her sharp red eyes scanned the wall to her left before she took out her trusty dagger and pricked her finger making a drop of blood form.

She quickly touched the wall which seemed to remain the same until a burst orange flames appeared on it as a pentagram within a circle appeared on it. This symbol burned brightly as it slowly spun before the wall become a wall of fire that gave of an intense heat but this was nothing to her as she walked through the heat just fine and once she was through the wall, it quickly hardened back to its original look.

Our demon walked through the silent cave until she came to a part that looked to be decorated. First thing we notice what looks to be a shelf where multiple curved cones were, looking closer we realise that these were demon horns that most demons had even her and now she was adding another.

A burning pentagram appeared in front of her as her hand reached in and removed a large black curved horn that was glowing red and yellow. She paused looking at the horn and remembering the battle and the clashes she had with that centipede until she felt things were going bad only for her magic to increase from her contract with an otherworldly monster.

A frown soon appeared on her face as she placed it on the shelf and made her way the centre of the room where she made herself comfortable and sat on the floor.

She could still remember the most recent encounter with Haruka, she could still remember the despair in her soul, the sadness and anger as well as other emotions.

'I... I don't wanna die'

That sentence rang through her head as she could still remember how beaten Haruka was, her hull cleaved in 2. her superstructure only stubs and her guns all gone from the nukes and rex as only 1 main gun was left and a trail of black which she knew it was her blood.

She truly did want to heal her even when she was ignored she didn't plan on leaving anyway.

'I don't want …. I don't want to only protect myself but you as well. You're as involved in this contract like me. When you need me I will help you!'

She smiled at these words, normally it would be the other way around but that would be impossibly as making a gate large enough for a battleship to fit through was something only demon lords and above could hope of even doing for a mere middle rank this was but a fairy tail.

Which moved her on to her strength. She's been stuck at middle for the past 2 years with no sign of improving what's so over. Her strength would go to a pseudo high rank if she went to her greater demonification form but she was relying too much on a single form to win her battles and now she's hit a road block as she almost died or got a serious injury from a giant flaming centipede. If it wasn't for Haruka she wouldn't have had the strength needed to win.

At the moment she could only wait and hope for a situation to present itself, one that can make her ascend the ranks once more as her goal was getting closer.

With a smile she lay on the warm ground, her purple hair spreading out as sleep soon took over.

Meanwhile, on the lower floors

Life in the lower floors could be said to be chaotic as overall monsters and demons got more poweerfull leading to a lot of clashes but more so it was among demons as they all wanted one thing, souls

One high rank who's main attribute was hell fire, as it was a common one, was looking over the rolling magma plains from a high point as the light produced showed his 2 long curved horns. A well sculpted body whose skin was angry purple red with a few black streaks here and there but all of this was hidden behind a black-red armour set which was basically a chest plate, leggings and boots.

His dull red eyes slowly looked at the plains in a bored expression as if waiting for something to happen but nothing happened. A sigh escaped his lips as he sat down on the heated ground.

The moment he did so a bright red fire erupted to his right. This fire didn't faze him one bit as he was actually expecting it. He waited for the flames to condense into a dull red colour as on it 2 bright eyes appeared on it, this seemed to be a demon as a deep voice boomed from the mass of flames.

"Kamish!"

The now named Kamish looked at the voice not answering one bit which was expected.

"You have a new task. This time its an Execution mission"

A pause occured before a smile graced Kamish's lips revealing his sharp teeth as he spoke.

"Finally, I was rotting here from boredom. Who's the target?"

Getting straight to the point he asked as on the other side the demon answered back.

"Your target is the demon Selene, she's a demon who's not to be underestimated under any chance. Use this track her"

A small magic circle appeared as some runes on it were twisting their shape until something was spat of it directly into Kamish's hand as he grabbed it before the circle disappeared.

Kamish had a puzzled look as he stared at the strange crystal shaped object that was hovering mere inches above his hand.

"That is a compass that would point to her whenever she returns from the over world, when you complete this there's already one hundred thousand souls sealed as a reward."

Kamish paused as thought he heard wrongly until he realised, he didn't. A devilish smile spread across his face as he stared into the fading magic fire.

"Consider her killed" he confidently stated as the fire dissipated leaving a grinning devil who can't wait when the compass glows.

Meanwhile with Selene

*BOOM!*

An explosion echoed across the hell landscape as we could soon see 2 figures duking it out as flames smashed against flames, metal grinded against metal

This was a battle against 2 fire skill demons, one was Selene the other was a flame demon. How she had arrived to the point of fighting was more of she had stumbled into its territory without there being any marks she didn't know now she was duking it out with the owner of said territory.

It would have been slightly easy if she was dealing with the monster variant but her luck run out as she was facing the demon equal. Their aptitude for fire was on a level above hers which is why the explosions.

*CLANG*

Their swords met again, both demons poured their strength as they tried to overpower the other, the 2 swords grind against each other making sparks fly between them.

The 2 demons stared at each with intense bloodlust but soon Selene felt the demons mana fluctuation to immense values. A look of realisation hit her like a truck as she pushed back leaving cracks where her boots where but even that wasn't enough as her wings extended out and flapped in full force sending her speeding backwards at her top speed but that may not have been enough as a bright spot grew in her vision before an ear shattering roar echoed in her ears.

A massive pressure wave hit her flying body sending her out of control as her body quickly slammed into the ground creating a small ditch in the process. Selene lay there dazed for a hot few seconds before she snapped back to reality and it was at that time an intense heat wave blew past her, drying and cracking the ground and making it turn a light shade of black charring it.

With Selene she wasn't faring any better as the heat was burning her up from the outside. If it wasn't for her mana reserves and affinity with fire she would have been toast literally, but at this Selene had enough of this fight.

Her own mana pulsed with a bright red colour as her body was engulfed in a bright red flame with black accents. Her body was changing as 2 medium curved demon horns grew from her forehead, her wings grew even longer and thicker, her body largened in size, her muscles increasing with the surge in power.

This was the one skill her body learnt to survive in this endless war. [Greater demonification]

 The ground cracked under her as a spider wed of cracks spread out. Her long purple hair fluttered slightly in the heated gusty wind as she zeroed in on the demon who seemed to enter a changed form with that burst of mana.

Its body was now a mass of flames but she could still make out the flesh underneath. A smile graced her lips as her muscles tensed and mana built up in her legs. If it had a body it could be killed as it was still mortal.

Her mana pulsed into her sword as a mass of burning red flames appeared on it but with her new control she condensed it make it smaller and smaller until it was only slightly larger than the sword width.

It glowed with a mix of black and red as a hum filled the air, the mana wanted to be let out and she would do just that. With a boom she lunged forward, her jump cratering the ground with a massive series of cracks as her wings flapped sending her to a direct course with that flame demon at a speed faster than even a bullet train.

In a matter of seconds a loud CLANG sounded throughout the entire area as the demons pushed their strength to their limits, their swords let out sparks as their fires tried to overpower the other.

With a roar the flame demon pushed Selene back but this was expected as she racked her sword across the air letting the mana stored within out as it soared to the demon in a matter of seconds as its black-red fire collided with the demons sword that was fused with its fire.

The demon grunted as he was being pushed by just a mere condensed mass of fire, it gave a mighty roar as it slashed the crescent of fire but this was soon to be a fatal mistake as the fire suddenly burst out at point blanc range.

Selene saw a bright spot occur as her flames exploded with a medium explosive yield, seeing this reminded her of those type-99 shells but what she produced was inferior to those beasts even one shell would make her explosion look like a baby.

A frown dotted her face as she realized how weak she when compared to Haruka. A sigh left her mouth as her eyes glowed with a red colour, she could still sense the demon which meant it survived but that was good as she needed a punching bag.

The flame demon wasn't doing so well as the flames that were burning all over its body were almost extinguished with just one blast, reducing them to nothing but a candle. Its breathing was ragged as it desperately searched for its attacker but its eyes couldn't see anything in the smoky crater until it felt its senses scream at it to dodge but it didn't have enough time as a hard blow landed on its cheek sending it the ground with a slight boom a testament at how much strength was put into it.

But even with this massive punch, the flame demon managed to stay awake as it eyes looked into the glowing eyes of Selene. Her fits were glowing with a bright red colour but for the first time in a hundred years the demon felt fear, staring into those glowing eyes, it could see its own death, beaten to a pulp by this demon.

So it did what other great demons do, it ran, as fast as its legs could take it away from that monster for she was no demon in its eyes but a monster.

It didn't reach far before it felt something slam onto the back of its head sending it face first onto the rough ground. Its instincts still screamed at it to run but even before it could lift its head a massive force struck the back of its head breaking the flame demons head through the ground like mud as a firm boot was planted on its head.

Selene looked at this flame demon with nothing but disappointment as her boot suddenly filled with her mana glowing with a bright red colour until it shifted to a black-red colour as it was condensed.

The flame demon struggled under her boot as it sensed its death but Selene didn't give it the luxury of escaping as her boot raised a bit from its head before slamming down as a burst of white surged forth as the blast from the flames expanding incinerated the body of the flame demon leaving nothing but chared skeleton and bits of muscle and tendons.

Selene looked disgustingly at the burnt corpse of the demon but her eyes soon caught a glowing ball of dark colour rise up from the body. A smile plastered her face as she took the soul of the demon before storing it in her magic circle.

With a huff of exhaustion a mass of flames surrounded her as her form went away leaving us with the normal Selene we know. She sighed again looking at the chared body again before flapping her wings and soaring through the air.

The recent battle would bring her fatigue as using [Greater Demonification] Drained her more than just using her mana but before she could continue on with thought she felt a tug on her soul.

This made her stop in the air hovering over the ground as a smile formed on her face again as she let go of resisting this tug. Soon she felt the world around shift in feeling. The once hot and dry Abyss that smelled like sulphur was now replaced with a cool wet and normal smelling planet.

In front of her was her one and only battleship Haruka, her eyes quickly looked at the numerous wounds on its body before her soul senses went off as there multiple souls in the area.

Her eyes quickly looked at the surrounding area as she noticed the different souls buried under tons and tons of rocks. She could hear the battleship slightly tremble as its guns were moving meaning that it was alive though there were some problems as it wasn't supposed to do that.

Selene stretched out her hand as a simple soul attraction circle appeared on her palm in a fiery orange colour. Soon mutiple souls flew out of the rumble and condensed into one football sized soul glowing with a normal golden colour. Once they touched her hands however, a multitude a small blue lighting sparks erupted from it. The ones that connected did shock her but it was bearable.

Her eyes couldn't help but stare in shock at the soul in front of her for a few seconds before a smile graced her lips. Out all times this was definitely 1 in a million chances that she found a soul with an attribute carried from the body. This also had another thing that was even lower in chances but she could as well try it out but first.

Her hands flicked the soul into her storage space as she looked at Haruka whose hull was littered with claw marks and in some places torn entirely while the other notable damage were two destroyed phoenix turrets as well as some damage on the main guns which led her to say.

"Those pups really did a number on you"

Selene was answered with silence but she could still feel her soul fluctuate with anger and jealousy.

Selene hovered for a few seconds as she looked at the mighty who was surely planning on an upgrade but Selene herself had a little problem to her upgrades.

"Sorry to intrude your thoughts, but you do understand that you fought a fragment right, so I received a fragment of the main soul"

The shock was instant as the fluctuations of her soul went up tenfold as well as the anger.

"Because of that I can't give you the upgrade until I have the other soul."

Just as Selene answered her mana senses ticked off as the mountain exploded with a great force of mana that was so intense as a large immense tornado was dropping from the clouds as a funnel was already forming from the circling clouds.

Her hair was blown back by the intense pressure wave as she could the mana continue to rise. This made her realise that the next opponent that Haruka would fight would properly be tougher than any previous threat.

Her eyes landed on the battleship in question as she could feel the combined pleading gaze from all turrets.

'Please, let me have this upgrade, I'll even ask for an even lower upgrade next time!'

The battleship in her moment of despair made the perfect move her as she soon agreed to it, her dagger slashed her palm making a large drop of blood fall from the sky as it splashed on the hull. It erupted into a bright black-red flames as she could feel most of her mana leave her body as it was used to manifest whatever it thought of as an upgrade and manifested it into reality.

Soon she could see on top the main tower 2 spinning rods that were for something as well as a multitude of different small and large pieces of equipment that she had no way of knowing what they do and finally her eyes landed on two large hexagonal grey plates that seemed to emit a pulse but it was too weak for her to identify.

After seeing that she finished everything she immediately stopped resisting the world as her body was soon expelled from that world making her return to the hell landscape she knew and loved. Forming a magic formation she spat out what looked to be a compass from her storage.

Holding it in her palms she saw it spin a few times before it pointed to her left, this made her relived as she wasn't placed in the higher levels like other times. Her wings extended behind her before they flapped sending a gust of wind beneath her propelling her forward in the direction where her soul compass pointed.

Yes soul compass, basically she had split a soul into and placed 1 part in her compass and the other in her home such that whenever she's lost she can always bring it out as the 2 soul would resonate with each other thus pointing to each other.

Selene flew high in the sky with a small smile on her face as her plans were moving smoother than she had thought. Her wings flapped again leaving us behind as she flies past us and into the distance until she became only a dot.

However, lower levels,

A soft glow filled a dark cave with its light as a crystal slowly floated in the air as it grew brighter and brighter until clawed hand reached out and grabbed it.

"Its time" He said as he watched the crystal continue point upwards which meant, "she's in the upper levels"

With the stomp of his boots on the hellish ground he emerged from the cave with a smile as he stretched his hands a bit from the cramps that were building. After that his 2 pairs of wings fully spread out with his main wings being longer than his body while the 2nd were longer than his arm.

His mana washed through his body as it pumped all over his body, his muscles tensed before he leaped into the air leaving a crater where he was standing. In the air he felt his wings tense before he quickly flapped. Their force thrust him forward faster than a bullet train and it kept on going until he flapped again but this time his mana was imbued into the wings which gave him the final thrust needed to

*boom*

Break the sound barrier.

A cone of air formed around his body as he exceeded Mach 1 maxing out at, at least Mach 1.4 as he continued his mission with all haste.

Some hours later

After what seemed like a day Selene managed to see her home in view, but

There was nothing else as if nothing had changed which was weird for her as something new always appeared whenever she came back. Quickly flying through the right tunnel and opening the stealth formation she walked in to see her room the same way she last saw it and that was good.

She quickly plopped down onto the floor as she leaned back into the wall as she sighed, her fatigue hitting her in full making her close her eyes out of sheer exhaustion.

However, when she was waking her senses first picked up something in front of her and when her eyes slowly open they were met with another set of sinister eyes.

This confused her as her mind processed what she was seeing until her expression turned to shock as her eyes landed on the 2 pairs of wings behind the demon as well as the intense pressure coming off of him.

"Morning Selene" the demon said as it crouched to meet her at her level though he was still higher than her, "My name is Kamish and I'm sorry I have to do this"

A sword appeared at his side it was sheathed but as he slowly drew it out she could tell how sharp the thing was at how it was gleaming in the dimly lit room.

Seeing the fear in Selene's eyes Kamish couldn't help but laugh as he brought a clawed hand to her stiff shoulder.

"As if I were ever to do that," his red eyes met Selene's as she still showed a bit confusion, "I am a demon so let's settle this outside"

The motion was so sudden that Selene didn't even notice what was happening until she felt her body slam against hard rock but instead of bouncing she dug through it. In that instance Kamish was holding Selene he imbued mana in his hand before throwing her like a ragdoll.

Selene felt her body carve through the cliff before it emerged from the other side with a bang as her eyes were met with the sight of the abyss landscape beneath her which was slowly starting to get larger and larger before her mind snapped back into action.

Twisting her body she landed on her feet as her eyes quickly looked at the hole she made before noticing a black spot coming towards her, growing bigger by the second.

Her body acted faster as it brought up her sword while simultaneously imbuing mana to her legs. When the 2 swords clashed Selene could instantly feel being pushed down into the ground and this forced her to use her trump card early on as her mana erupted into a red fire that transformed her into a much more powerful version of Selene.

With this new boost in power she held Kamish at bay who could only smile as he saw her withstand his first blow which most demons don't survive. But he didn't want to end it there he wanted to play with his prey. He wanted to know what makes her tick and break it.

'No' he thought.

He wanted to fight her until she broke as it isn't everyday you fight a pseudo high rank. Kamish had a sinister smile as he backed off before raking his mana imbued sword across the air sending out a large red cresent shaped fire that left a trail of destruction.

Selene could only counter this with a condensed version as she also let out a cresent of fire that glowed black-red. Both flames collided with each other with a boom as they each tried to overpower the other until they couldn't and exploded in a specular fashion.

The blinding flash of white slightly clouded Selene's vision as a massive pressure wave slammed into her. Her eyes quickly searched for the attacker until, from the corner of her eye, she saw something glint as her instincts kicked.

She quickly ducked with only centimetres of space as a sharp sword slashed where her body was with extreme speed but she didn't miss the opening when she saw it. With a burst of speed she raked her sword across the demons armoured arm and sliced through it with her condensed flames as blood was begining to drip from the wound.

She quickly back stepped as a sword barely sliced through her front armour. She eyed Kamish as he inspected the wound on his arm as it dripped blood but soon stopped bleeding as the demons fast regeneration kicked in which was similar to all demons.

Kamish was actually surprised to see that he was cut, this made his battle side grow in joy as he would have to go a little serious for this demon. His wings extended out behind him as they pulsed with a burning red flame.

Selene carefully eyed Kamish as she sensed a large mana build-up before he seemed to vanish in front of her eyes. This shocked her as her eyes widely looked around as even her mana senses stopped tracking him almost as if he disappered.

But before she could find, she felt a large pain flare from her back as something slashed her. Selene swung her sword and only just managed to nick his chest plate before he backed off. The pain on her back was intense as part of her wings were also cut leading to a large amount of blood loss before her regeneration kicked in.

But before she could go for an attack, her sword was smacked with a large force making it get knocked out from her firm grip and before she could even do anything her eyes saw something red before her abdomen flared from immense pain as she coughed out a mouthful of blood.

As a high rank Kamish's speed was far greater than Selene was able to track thus he decided to land fast and hard blows. Selene's body quivered from the force but even with the immense pain she continued to fight.

Her left hand quickly grabbed onto a horn of the demon as she pulled him down, this act surprised Kamish before he felt a hard punch slam into his left cheek. This made him stumble but Selene was not over as her sword from her storage appeared as she slashed at the open neck of the demon.

Kamish noticed and quickly moved his head backwards and payed the price as a pain so much it clouded his thoughts, erupted from his forehead.

Selene even though she missed the neck managed to cut ta horn of Kamish.

Now demons care about their horns as its sort of like prestige but the only problem is that they are extremely sensitive thus when cut its even worse than losing an arm. For Selene she just angered a tiger.

Even before she could react a powerful force struck her side sending her flying as his fists were fully imbued with his power, thus were pretty destructive.

Selene tried to control her flying and succeeded hovering in the air as her eyes searched for her attacker until he appeared directly in front of her with his fists together above his head, Selene could only hope to block as they came down crashing sending her flying to the ground below.

The force of her slamming into the ground at near Mach speeds created a small crater in which she lay dazed in the centre only for her senses to go haywire as a large red light was shining from the sky.

Kamish in his anger didn't hold back as he poured most of his mana into his sword in a short time as the mana within roared to be released and he did just that as a large cresent descended upon the poor Selene who could only pour her mana into her defence but this did little to help.

A large explosion soon followed as soil and rocks were sent flying into the air, the shockwave soon slammed into Kamish as he was slightly pushed back by it. He slowly descended past the rising dust cloud as his boots soon touched the chared ground, his senses only picking up a faint mana reading.

Selene herself was not doing good as the explosion melted her shields making her use her mana reserves to the point where she felt drained. Her armour was melting, bonding with her skin that was also melting exposing tissue and muscle underneath but her regeneration kicked in restoring her skin but the damage had already been done.

She lay there in her own crater as she knew she was already defeated. Her mind thought of Haruka as she was the only reason she managed to continue with her plans but now she only thought of how Haruka would react when she dies.

However that soon brought up a memory

'I don't want …. I don't want to only protect myself but you as well. You're as involved in this contract like me. When you need me I will help you!'

To help someone you need to have the strength to do so if you don't then your good as dead.

Her mind remebered that lightning soul she had and decided to use it as her last ditch effort.

Using her remain mana she opened up her storage as the soul soon floated down into her raised hand, its surface crackling with lightning.

Kamish could sense the soul nearby but as soon as she saw Selene with a soul in her hands his instincts felt like something was off before the soul was soon eaten by her.

He looked at Selene with a confused look as he walked closer only to notice her veins glow with a bright blue colour as her body started to convulse rapidly.

Pain

Pain was the only thing coursing through her veins as the soul was quickly absorbed into her body but it soon found a problem as the lighting mana wasn't compatible with her body thus it was burning her from the inside out.

Even though this was happening Selene beared it as she relied on her body's high adaptability to power through this. Her eyes shone with a white colour as her mouth was open in silent agony until a blue glow covered he body before it suddenly released violently creating a small explosion.

Kamish realised too late what Selene was planning thus couldn't stop her as a new mana presence was detected from the smoke that was quickly dispersing.

His eyes soon saw Selene standing up as her body swayed from the fatigue until her eyes were raised to meet his and they were changed. They were bright blue glowing with a burning sense as her body seemed to have to have to have entered her greater state as her horns were on full display but that wasn't what shocked Kamish.

From her body sparks of lighting shot of to the ground as her body seemed to have adapted to the new power when she needed it and this new power was something that Kamish was unfamiliar with.

In one moment he saw her standing in the crater then next she was standing directly in front of him, the only way he knew she moved was the clap of thunder that soon followed. His bright red eyes clashed against Selene bright blue eyes. The tension was thick.

He made the first move as his mana imbued fist closed the gap between them but before he could land a blow Selene erupted into a violent shower of lighting that all landed on his armour and exposed body but that wasn't shocking as he saw her hands glowed with a bright blue colour.

He quickly moved back to great distance but that didn't help much as he saw Selene's body turn into a streak lighting for a moment the next she was only a few inches away her fists glowing with lighting as her eyes echoed her anger.

The first blow that struck him melted his armour until he felt multiple blows strike his chest plate in under a second that left his chest plate a molten slag. His body erupted into dense flames that pushed Selene back from the heat. Kamish quickly brushed off the melted armour revealing tissue and muscles under it all as the molten slag had fused with his skin but his quick regeneration kicked in.

He knew that close fights would lead to a defeat as the blows that she could do in a second were faster than he could properly defend, thus he resorted to use long range attacks.

The fire around his increased in size and heat as it quickly spun around him creating a small fire tornado or as others say a firenado. The spining fire grew in size as it forced Selene to back away but that didn't mean that she was only left with short range attacks.

Her right hand glowed with an intense blue colour as she raised it above her head and a thunder clap answered her call. Above the raging firenado a storm cloud was building and rotating with the fire as it glowed blue from the build up of power within it.

Selene's hand dropped and that made the cloud rumble before a large lighting rod struck down on Kamish in the middle of it all. The ground shook as if an earthquake hit as the firenado was dispersed by the shockwave the lighting produced in under one second.

Like a lighting if you blinked you missed it and you could only hear the massive thunderclap that followed signifying the strength it had as Kamish himself was nothing but a chared demon.

His armour and skin had been blasted to molten slags and his exposed blood vaporised by the intense heat produced, you'd know that he was alive by his eyes that were still dimly glowing as he gave out a roar in pain.

With the last bits sanity he had he decided to go all out as his sword appeared in his hands before he injected every little bit of mana he had into and condense it into a black flame that roared violently to be let out.

Selene could only match him as her spare sword appeared in her hands. A blue glow lit the sword as numerous bolts of lighting were spewed out of it. But Selene wanted to push it as it was all or nothing at this point. A red glow started to cover her sword as flames appeared in the surface of it.

The 2 mana's clashed a bit before unifying into a dark blue flame that still leaked some bolts of lighting but this was but plasma in a sense as the heat it produced skyrocket. She didn't want to condense this new form as she was wary of breaking the sword.

From a far it looked as if a black light was clashing against a blue-white light almost like light v dark.

The 2 demons finished at around the same time and charged forward as they wanted to end it with one final blow.

In just 2 seconds a massive white light could be seen from afar almost as if the sun was spawned into the abyss before a deep rumble shook the ground as an intense shockwave slammed into the nearby lands followed by an intense heat that scorched the ground killing any monster that had a weak defence.

Once the dust settled we see a shocking sight.

A sword plunged deep through the demons heart we see Kamish lean over as blood trickled from the blade in his chest and into the dry ground.

He lost.

This thought slammed into him as he felt the sword be violently removed making blood gush out as he fell on his back making a pool of blood form. His eyes looked into the bright blue eyes of Selene which seemed to compliment her purple hair.

In his final moments he decided to warn the demon of how the future would go for it.

"Selene, your strong and highly adaptable but in the future more executioners will come for you and they will be more powerful than I am. You Have To Get Stronger!"

Finishing his words he soon closed his eyes as he felt something sharp cut his neck before everything became numb and dark. Selene looked as his head rolled across the rough floor.

She let out a sigh before her senses locked on the soul that floated out of the body. Her mouth watered as her body was lacking mana thus eating a soul would normally fix that but before she could think about it any further her body acted on its own stuffing the soul into her mouth as her strong digestive juices of her stomach dissolved and absorbed the soul and its mana into her body but something wasn't right.

In started as a dull throb before she felt her body light up in pain as if she was being burned from the inside out. The pain mace her fall to all fours as her mouth was open in silent agony. Her mind was confused through all the pain as she had a fire attribute thus she could have easily absorbed it instead of it burning her.

But what she didn't know was that her fire attribute, hell fire was evolving to the next state flames of destruction whose fire are so potent if your body doesn't adapt you'll be burnt from the inside out.

Like the lightning she did her best to endure the pain until her body managed to somehow adapt to the flames but not without it burning charred as in some places she could see the white colour of her bones. However before she could test out the new fire, she felt a tug on her soul.

A smile adorned her face as she knew that Haruka did it. She allowed the tug to pull her as she was suddenly hovering in the air. Her eyes soon saw the state of the land which could be said to be a shell of its former past. There were deep slashes into the ground and numerous crater ranging from big to small dotted around the landscape telling the tail of an epic battle.

Her eyes saw the glint of metal as she saw a lot of cut out metal that were spread out and her eyes even spotted the bridge though it was severed and lay half buried while sported multiple giant claw marks on it.

Her smile was slowly losing its position until she turned to face her battleship and now her mouth was only left in a state of shock.

Her eyes soaked in the damage as her senses soon sensed the soul of the battleship but it was growing weaker and weaker by the second.

Her mind acted fast as she land on the most intact part of the ship before she quickly cut her palm letting her blood drip onto the floor as a burst of flames appeared all over the ship as it was slowly but back together as the 4 segments of the hull were slowly moved back together and the superstructure restored. The sliced guns were slowly brought together as some were cut in half other ripped by what looked to be claw marks. Soon everything was finished but it seemed there was still a major repair in the engine as she felt her mana be poured into that part before it was fully restored but.

Selene could fell the soul dim until it disappered completely, leaving an empty husk of battleship.

"No, she couldn't have ---" her voice was soon cut as a piece of parchment appeared before her eyes.

Her eyes widened in shock as she watched the parchment burn itself to ash as the contract was destroyed between them.

When a contract burns it either means it has been completed or one of the members in the contract had perished in a battle.

With the sunsetting over the horizon the battleship remained still, her guns gone silent she would battle no more as her soul is all but gone.

Selene could feel something spill from her eyes as they traced across her cheeks before falling onto the deck of the silent monster.

Cliff hangar, wait more like the ending of next chapter or not. 

My minds a mess right now, next chapter will be published next month as hopefully I'll get free time as currently school is haunting me through online homework and work is taking my Mondays to Fridays so I just don't have enough time to go write as of right now.
