reincarnated as a powerful dragon

Chapter 13: Morning Awakening

I stir beneath Father Aetherius's wings, slowly opening my eyes to find myself in the cozy nest. My father's wings are still wrapped around me, his eyes watching over me with a warm smile.

"Good morning, little one," he says, his voice low and gentle. "How are you feeling today?"

I stretch my silver-scaled body, arching my back and extending my claws. Father Aetherius smiles, his albino scales glinting in the morning light.

"Good morning, Tharros," he says again, his voice warm and welcoming. "Did you sleep well?"

I nod, still feeling a bit sleepy. My stomach growls, reminding me that I'm hungry. Father Aetherius chuckles and gently unwraps his wings from around me.

"Let's go find some breakfast," he suggests, standing up and gesturing for me to follow him.

I nod, eager to start the day and see what adventures await me and my family.

As we exit the nest, I'm greeted by the warm sunshine and the sounds of my siblings stirring. I see Lyriath, my navy-blue scaled brother, stretching his wings, while Vyraxys, my dark bronze scaled brother, is busy preening his claws. Nyxoria, my amethyst scaled sister, is chatting with Lyrixa, my rose gold scaled sister, and Kaidorix, my forest green scaled brother, is playing with a nearby stick.

Mother Thyriatrix, with her beautiful light green scales, is watching over everyone with a warm smile. She notices Father Aetherius and me approaching, and her eyes light up with welcome.

"Good morning, my loves!" she exclaims, opening her wings to envelop us in a warm hug. "I see you're both up and ready for the day. Shall we go find some breakfast?"

Father spoke, "I will go hunting and get a large size food for our little ones!"

Mother Thyriatrix smiles, her light green scales glinting with appreciation. "Thank you, dear," she says, nudging Father Aetherius affectionately. "The children are always hungry, and a large meal will be wonderful for them."

Father Aetherius nods, his albino scales shining with excitement. "I'll be back soon," he says, spreading his wings and taking to the sky. "Keep an eye on the little ones, my love."

I watch as Father Aetherius soars away, feeling a thrill of excitement at the prospect of a big meal. My siblings and I gather around Mother Thyriatrix, chattering eagerly as we wait for Father's return.

Mother Thyriatrix smiles, her eyes warm with amusement. "Let's get everyone settled down," she says, gently guiding us towards the nest. "We'll wait for your father to return with dinner."

I nod, following Mother's lead as we settle in to wait. Lyriath starts to tell a story, using his claws to gesture dramatically, while Vyraxys listens intently. Nyxoria and Lyrixa start to play a game, using a small rock to take turns. Kaidorix curls up beside me, his forest green scales glistening in the sunlight.

As we wait, I can feel my stomach growling with anticipation. I love it when Father brings back a big catch. It's always such a treat.

As we wait, a bit longer, I gaze out at the landscape, watching the clouds drift lazily by. The sun beats down on us, warming my silver scales. I feel grateful for our cozy little nest, tucked away in a secluded valley.

Mother Thyriatrix settles in beside us, her light green scales glinting in the sunlight. She wraps her tail around us, holding us close as we wait for Father's return.

Suddenly, a distant roar echoes through the valley. I perk up, recognizing the sound of Father's triumphant cry. "He's back!" I exclaim, excitement building in my chest.

My siblings and I exchange eager glances, our stomachs growling in anticipation. We can't wait to see what Father's brought back for dinner!

As Father Aetherius comes into view, we can see that he's carrying a massive deer in his claws. He's grinning from ear to ear, clearly proud of his catch.

"Wow, Father!" Lyriath exclaims, his navy blue scales glinting with excitement. "That's huge!"

Vyraxys nods in agreement, his dark bronze scales shining with admiration. "You're the best hunter in the land, Father!"

Mother Thyriatrix smiles, her light green scales glowing with pride. "Well done, dear," she says, as Father Aetherius lands beside us, the deer still clutched in his claws.

I gaze up at Father, feeling grateful for his provision. We're going to have a feast tonight!

Father spoke, "I did a great job dear get deer!" Father smiled

Mother Thyriatrix chuckles, her light green scales glinting with amusement. "Yes, dear, you certainly did," she says, nudging Father Aetherius playfully. "The children are going to love this feast."

I grin, feeling excited. "Thanks, Father!" I exclaim, along with my siblings. We all gather around, eager to see the deer up close.

Father Aetherius smiles, his albino scales shining with pride. "Alright, kids," he says. "Let's get started on preparing dinner. Who wants to help?"

We all cheer and raise our claws, eager to dig in. Father Aetherius smiles, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Alright, kids," he says. "Let's enjoy our fresh catch! Gather around, and let's feast!"

We all gather around the deer, our stomachs growling in anticipation. Father Aetherius tears into the meat, and we follow his lead, savoring the fresh, raw flesh.

I take a big bite, feeling the juices dripping down my chin. My siblings and I all cheer and chatter, enjoying our delicious meal together.

As we eat, Mother Thyriatrix watches over us with a warm smile. "I'm so grateful for our little family," she says, her light green scales glinting in the fading light.

Father Aetherius nods, his albino scales shining with agreement. "We're lucky to have each other," he says, his voice filled with love.

We all nod, feeling grateful for our family bond. As we finish our meal, we all lie down together, our bellies full and content.

The sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over our little family. We all snuggle up close, feeling safe and loved.

As I drift off to sleep, I feel grateful for this wonderful life as a dragon, surrounded by my loving family.

As the night falls, the stars twinkle to life above us. I feel the warmth of my family's scales against mine, and the sound of their gentle breathing lulls me into a peaceful sleep.

But even in sleep, I'm aware of the presence of my family. I feel the protective presence of Father Aetherius, the nurturing energy of Mother Thyriatrix, and the playful vibes of my siblings.

As the night wears on, I'm vaguely aware of the sounds of the forest around us. The hooting of owls, the rustling of leaves, and the distant roar of a waterfall all blend together to create a soothing melody.

I sleep soundly, surrounded by the love and protection of my family, and the peaceful rhythms of the natural world.

As the first light of dawn begins to creep over the horizon, I stir from my sleep. I stretch my silver scales, arching my back and extending my claws. My family is still sleeping, but I can sense that they're all resting peacefully.

I take a moment to gaze out at the breathtaking view before us. The valley stretches out, a lush green expanse dotted with wildflowers and towering trees. The sky above is a brilliant blue, with just a few wispy clouds scattered across it.

I feel grateful for this beautiful world, and for the loving family that I'm a part of. I take a deep breath, feeling the cool morning air fill my lungs.

And with that, I settle back into my nest, feeling content and at peace. Another wonderful day is about to begin.
