reborn with a doom slayer gacha system in final fantasy 7

(An extremely short chapter since I just got home from work and it's 3 in the morning, so apologies if it's too short for your liking.)

"A vodka martini, shaken not stirred."

I say with a small smile as she nods and looks for the ingredients, "sorry but we don't seem to have any vodka, want anything else?" The bartender asks as I think about my time in college.

"How about…a jack and coke on the rocks?" I ask before continuing, "I'm John by the way, John Kane." I introduce as she gets to work mixing my drink, "I'm Tifa, I take it you aren't from around here?" She asks as she shakes the mixer for a minute before pouring it in a chilled glass.

As she hands it to me I crack my neck and take a sip of my drink, savoring the burn going down my throat and into my esophagus before responding, "well like that bling guy I used to be in soldier, but after seeing what they did I faked my death and work to bring them down alone, well until I met Barret." I explain as I hear the sound of hydraulics and see cloud going down an elevator disguised as a pinball table.

"You do realize that your base is really fucking easy to find right? All it would take is someone reeeally wanting to play pinball for your base to be found." I remark as Tifa shrugs, "how do you think wedge joined?" She says as I hear a little girl giggling and I turn to see a little girl.

"Marleen why are you here? Shouldn't you be doing your homework like Barret asked?" Tifa scolded to the child as she pouts and crosses her arms, "I hate studying! Besides I can do math just fine." She says as I place my half full glass down on the counter and look at her.

"What's nine plus ten?"(john)

"Twenty-one!"(marleen)

"You're stupid."(John)

"No im not!"(marleen)

Tifa just shook her head at the interaction as they hear the elevator move as Barrett and the others come out, "alright listen up! We managed to destroy the mako reactor as planned, that's only one step, but it's one step closer to saving the planet, so with that in mind get your gear ready, we move out in an hour to take down another reactor."
