NOVEL NEXT Chapter 16: Family Dinner.
POV third person
Dante was later called downstairs for dinner. After they just got back from the hospital and with what they had gone through, they could all stand to eat.
On his way to the dining area, he overheard his parents in the kitchen. It seems as though his dad was helping his mum in the kitchen. When he got to the dining table, there was already food on it.
The food looked delicious. It was a magnificent spread. The display alone tempted the eyes, and the aroma seduced the nose. Creating a mouth-watering effect.
Dante quickly found a seat and waited eagerly for his parents to arrive so he could dig in. It took all his strength not to touch or nibble it. This may have been his most difficult battle yet.
It didn't take long for his parents to join him. The struggle was over now it was time to dig in. However, before that, there was a pressing matter that had to be addressed.
Clearing his throat, Ezio said " Son, your mother and-
"Wait" Hinata interpreted.
Then she stared deeply at her beautiful son. His brelienght reddish brown hair, burning golden eyes, and his cute and slightly chubby little face.
Her son looked back at her, waiting with anticipation.
"Dante, do you really want to do this?" She said with an unfamiliar intensity. Her eyes staring deep into Dante, surveying his every move in search of the slightest twitch or hint of hesitation in his answer.
Taking a breath, Dante answered "Yes." Facing his mother's particularly piercing gaze, not backing down to convey his feelings.
Hinata wanted a reason to stop him, the faintest bit of hesitation, but she was to be disappointed. There was nothing to be found.
Had she posed this question a week ago, his answer might have been different, but after what happened that day, Dante's resolve to master his abilities has solidified, he is not stopping till he accomplishes it.
Withdrawing her gaze, Hinata sighed "Then we will support you."
In this moment, Dante was touched. He understood that they were putting aside their feelings to help him achieve his goal.
"Alright, as I was saying before, I so RUDELY interrupted. Ugh, the manners of some people." Ezio joked.
"Son, we have decided to visit my father, your grandfather, to seek help for you. He can provide you with the space, freedom, research, and resources you might need." Ezio informed.
"Besides, this could also be your chance to find out more about the family. I don't mean to brag, but we are pretty awesome" he said with his chest out and head high with pride.
Dante was looking forward to it, but now it was time to dig in.
After dinner, Dante resembled a pregnant woman with his stuffed belly struggling up the stairs, stumbling his way to his room. Looking forward to the family visit.
