Reborn In The World Of Naruto

Chapter 35: Fugaku VS Obito

The forest had become a warzone. The once peaceful silence of the trees was now drowned by the sounds of clashing steel, explosive jutsu, and the screams of the wind. Shisui and Itachi stood back-to-back, both breathing heavily, their clothes torn and bloodied from the relentless battle. Despite their best efforts, it seemed as though the masked man—whom they still believed to be Madara—was simply too strong.

Obito's Sharingan glowed ominously, the air around him crackling with an eerie energy. He had been using his abilities to phase in and out of existence, striking at them with uncanny precision. Every attack was calculated, and every counter was met with an even stronger assault.

"You should have known," Obito's voice came cold and detached, "that standing against me would only lead to your downfall."

Shisui's body was covered in cuts, and his breath came in sharp gasps. He could feel his chakra reserves depleting with every move he made. Itachi, though still standing tall, was clearly struggling as well. His Sharingan flickered with strain.

"You're both so… weak," Obito taunted, his figure phasing out of sight before reappearing behind them.

BANG!!

CRASH!!

The wind howled as his Gunbai swung with terrifying speed, knocking both Itachi and Shisui off their feet and sending them crashing into the trees.

THUD!

Shisui hit the ground hard, his vision blurring. He could hear Itachi's strained voice call out to him.

"Shisui… Get up… We can't let him win."

But the pain was overwhelming. Every muscle in his body screamed in protest. He tried to push himself up, but his limbs felt like lead. The shadow of Obito loomed over him, his sinister laughter echoing in the clearing.

"It's over. You've lost."

Itachi pushed himself up to his knees, his breath ragged, blood dripping from his forehead. His eyes, though still sharp, were starting to lose their clarity. He glanced at Shisui, who was struggling to rise, and then back at the masked figure before them. Obito wasn't going to give them any more chances.

The battle had reached its tipping point. Obito was toying with them, enjoying their suffering, and they were running out of options. Itachi's hand trembled as he reached for another kunai, but his chakra reserves were nearly depleted.

"Shisui... We can't keep up with this," Itachi muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry…"

Itachi felt regret for pulling Shisui into this mess. He wished he hadn't told Shisui about 'Madara', because if he didn't Shisui wouldn't be in this mess.

Shisui shook his head, forcing himself to stand, despite the pain that radiated through his body. "No. Not yet… We've come too far."

But the truth was undeniable. Their strength, their teamwork—it wasn't enough. Obito's power was overwhelming, and they had no way of keeping up with him. Their bodies were failing them, and Obito knew it.

Just as Obito raised his Gunbai, ready to deliver the final blow, the ground beneath them trembled. The trees shuddered, and the very air seemed to grow heavier.

Obito froze, his expression masked behind his veil of calm. For a brief moment, he looked uncertain.

Itachi and Shisui didn't see it at first—blinded by their exhaustion, they barely registered the shift in the atmosphere. But then they heard it—the sound of footsteps, heavy and deliberate, crashing through the trees.

"Madara," a deep voice rang out from the shadows.

A figure stepped into the clearing, his presence commanding the attention of everyone in the area. It was Fugaku Uchiha, his eyes glowing with a fierce intensity that matched the ferocity of the situation. His clothes fluttered behind him, his stance solid and unyielding.

"Fugaku-sama…" Shisui breathed, relief flooding through him.

Obito's eye twitched in annoyance, and he turned to face the new arrival.

"Fugaku Uchiha," he sneered.

"Just in time to watch your precious clan fall."

The Uchiha Patriarch's gaze was sharp, his voice cold. "This ends now."

Fugaku's chakra flared to life, an enormous pressure settling over the battlefield. He wasn't just a Clan Leader; he was a force to be reckoned with. His eyes locked on Obito, his Sharingan swirling with purpose.

In a blur of movement, Fugaku appeared before Obito, his speed shocking even the masked figure. Obito tried to phase, but Fugaku's attack was relentless—his blade flashing in the moonlight, a strike aimed directly for the heart.

BANG!!

Obito blocked with his Gunbai, the force of the blow reverberating through the air. Fugaku's eyes burned with rage as he pushed forward, using every ounce of his strength to break through Obito's defense.

'This guy... he's as strong as me. It's a miracle Shisui and Itachi are still alive.' Fugaku's eyes narrowed at the thought.

"It's too late for you to win," Obito growled, his Gunbai sweeping low to knock Fugaku back. But Fugaku was prepared.

"Your petty tricks," Fugaku hissed, spinning away from the swing. "I'll put an end to them."

The air crackled as Fugaku unleashed his full might. His Sharingan flared, and a burst of chakra surged through his body.

BANG!!

He struck again, faster than before. This time, the force of his attack sent Obito skidding backward, the ground beneath him shattering on impact.

Obito snarled. "You think you can stop me?"

Fugaku's response was simple: a single, deadly glance. "I don't think. I know."

As the fight raged on, Obito's confidence faltered. The force of Fugaku's assault had shaken him. For the first time in the battle, he hesitated, his gaze flickering between the Uchiha Patriarch and Shisui and Itachi who were still recovering.

'Tch, I need to leave!' Obito's eyes behind the mask narrowed at the thought of running away.

Fugaku's presence alone shifted the scales, and Obito realized that if he didn't retreat now, he might not survive the battle.

With a flick of his cloak, Obito disappeared.

"You'll regret this," he called, his voice fading as he disappeared into the shadows.

The tension in the air began to dissipate as Fugaku lowered his arm. He turned to Itachi and Shisui, his expression a mixture of concern and pride.
