Reborn as the Villain, No More Sidekick

Chapter 3:

Chapter 3: The Heroine, Grandmaster Level Strength:

“Cao Xu, if you dare touch me, I swear I will hate you for the rest of my life.” Su Lingxuan’s voice trembled with fear.

Hearing this, Cao Xu sneered, “That threat might have worked on the original Prince of Wei, but it means nothing to me.” His voice was cold and dismissive.

“I don’t care. Hate me all you want.”

As Cao Xu approached her, Su Lingxuan panicked. He wasn’t the man she once knew. The Prince of Wei had completely changed.

“Don’t come any closer! I have a knife!” Su Lingxuan frantically pulled a dagger from beneath her pillow.

Seeing the dagger, Cao Xu felt a pang of pity for the former Prince, who he had replaced. Even though the previous prince had groveled at her feet, she still didn’t trust him enough and kept a weapon nearby.

As expected, a simpering fool never ends well. Any brief sympathy Cao Xu had vanished. There was no point feeling sorry for someone who had spent their life groveling.

Ignoring the dagger in her hand, Cao Xu continued walking forward.

In desperation, Su Lingxuan bit her lip and lunged at him with the dagger. She aimed to stab him, her face full of determination.

But Cao Xu showed no emotion. He easily grabbed her wrist, squeezing it hard until she cried out in pain. The dagger clattered to the floor.

Though Su Lingxuan knew some martial arts, her skills were weak compared to Cao Xu’s. She was only a third-rate fighter, capable of handling ordinary people, but no match for Cao Xu, who was an Innate master.

With a flick of his hand, Su Lingxuan was thrown heavily to the ground.

A sharp crack echoed through the room as Cao Xu’s whip whipped across Su Lingxuan’s body. The luxurious phoenix crown she wore and her wedding robes were torn, revealing her bare skin underneath, while a thin line of blood appeared where the whip had struck.

“Ahh!” Despite gritting her teeth, Su Lingxuan couldn’t suppress a scream.

“You… you hit me?” Su Lingxuan looked up at him in disbelief, biting her blood-red lips.

The previous Prince had been so gentle with her, never even wanting to harm a single hair on her head. How could Cao Xu strike her like this?

As she stared at the cold expression on his face, fear crept into her heart. Was this really the same Cao Xu she had known for over 10 years?

“If you try to kill me, don’t think I won’t hit you. I could even kill you, and no one would dare say a word,” Cao Xu sneered, lashing out with the whip once more.

Su Lingxuan endured the pain, her eyes defiant. “Then kill me. Do it if you can.”

“Kill you?” Cao Xu squatted down, grabbing her chin between his fingers. “My dear princess, you’re my true love. Why would I kill you?”

“Tonight is our wedding night. Let’s not waste this beautiful moment. Come, my dear. I’ll personally teach you how to serve me.”

Throwing aside the whip, Cao Xu lifted Su Lingxuan and carried her toward the grand bed made of huanghuali wood.

Fear filled Su Lingxuan’s eyes. She had been calm when he struck her with the whip, but now she was truly terrified.

“Let me go, Cao Xu! You may take my body, but you’ll never have my heart.”

Cao Xu laughed loudly. “What would I do with your heart? Don’t worry, I’m not greedy. All I want is your body.”

The night passed in a haze. The warm light from the wedding candles flickered and eventually burned out.

By the time morning came,

Cao Xu had dressed and left the bed.

On the bed, Su Lingxuan lay asleep, her beautiful figure barely covered by the torn wedding gown.

“She truly is beautiful. A heroine in every sense. Far better than any school beauty I knew before I transmigrated.” Cao Xu muttered to himself.

Though there was less entertainment in this world, the women were of far higher quality. Even the palace maids outshone the prettiest girls from his past life. After all, palace maids were chosen from the most beautiful women in the kingdom, each a rare beauty.

[Ding! You have taken the heroine Su Lingxuan’s innocence. Rewards: Luck +2500, Villain Points +50,000.]

“I want to take a bath. Prepare everything.” Cao Xu ordered the maids as he stepped out of the room.

The maids blushed, their faces flushed with embarrassment and fatigue. They had been listening all night. The prince was truly relentless, never stopping, while the princess—experiencing such things for the first time—had barely kept up.

In the royal bathhouse, Cao Xu relaxed in a tub while maids around him added hot water.

They began to wash him, their hands gentle, but after a moment, Cao Xu waved them away. “Leave.”

“Yes, Your Majesty.” The maids bowed and left, disappointment evident in their eyes, especially the one who had been tending to him.

Before, the Prince never allowed maids to serve him, but now he had made an exception. This had been their chance. If they could capture his attention, perhaps they could rise above the status of mere maids.

But Cao Xu wasn’t dismissing them out of nobility. There was simply no time to indulge. He still hadn’t fully understood the system he now had access to, and he hadn’t absorbed all of the former King of Wei’s memories.

The system was the foundation of his power. Understanding it was his top priority.

“System, explain your functions.”

[This is the Villain System. You can suppress the protagonist, steal their luck, and gain Villain Points. Villain Points can be earned by performing villainous deeds.]

[Villain Points can improve your strength or be used to purchase items from the system’s store. Luck can be used in the lottery draw.]

“Open the system store. Let me take a look.”

A screen appeared in front of Cao Xu, displaying various items.

[Iron Cloth Shirt: Common external martial arts technique. Price: 100 Villain Points.]

[Heavenly Reliance Sword: Famed sword of Cao Gong. Cuts iron like mud. Price: 10,000 Villain Points.]

[Three Points Origin Returning Qi: Seven parts hard work. Price: 500,000 Villain Points.]

[Dragon Essence: Essence of an entire dragon. Greatly increases strength and grants immortality. Price: 10 million Villain Points.]

The list went on. While there were many items, most were either too expensive or not worth the cost.

“I want to increase my strength. How do I do that?” Cao Xu focused more on improving his power than buying items.

The system store panel disappeared, and another screen popped up:

[Name: Cao Xu

Age: 21

Strength: Innate Peak (+)

Martial Arts: Nine Yang Divine Technique, Heavenly Demon Technique, ProfoundIce Fist (Inherited from the former Prince.)]

Cao Xu pressed the plus sign next to his strength level.

[Spend 10,000 Villain Points to raise your strength to Grandmaster Initial Stage.]

“Yes, increase it.”

His Villain Points decreased by 10,000. A powerful surge of True Qi flowed through his body, and his cultivation techniques, Nine Yang Divine Technique and Heavenly Demon Technique, began to circulate simultaneously.

BOOM!

It felt as though a barrier had broken within him. His True Qi from the two techniques reached a balance, merging perfectly.

After a few moments, the energy settled, and the bath returned to calm.

“Master, the Imperial City Division is here.” Dian Wei reported from outside.

“The Imperial City Division, hmm? Good timing.”

Though Cao Xu had wanted to continue experimenting with the luck lottery, he decided to meet with the officials first.
