"Roar!"
"Dressk is dead!"
"Marco… I will kill you!"
A roar resonated over a certain sea area in the New World, and in that moment, a terrifying sound echoed throughout the waters.
On the enormous Mammoth pirate ship, Drought Jack was furious. Losing a powerful subordinate was something he could not allow. "Marco… It's unexpected that even though the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates no longer exist, you are still so active!"
All of the pirates on the massive Mammoth trembled in fear.
"Captain Jack is furious… What overwhelming force he possesses!"
"Immortal Phoenix Marco… This time, Captain Jack will definitely chase and kill him!"
On the other side, aboard the pirate ship with Marco...
"You said you were Bello Betty's sister?" Marco shrugged. "Is your sister famous? I… don't think I've heard of her name."
"Huh? You don't know her?"
"I can't remember everyone's names… The world is vast. If I tried to know every character, I'd surely be exhausted."
"Okay." Belivia looked disappointed. "Are you going to look for the Loan Shark?"
"I'm open to anyone from the underworld. Characters like the 'Organ Merchant' Gigra and the 'Shipping King' Umit are all possible targets," Marco replied, without specifying who they would search for. "Of course, the closer to our goal, the better."
"Then let's go! I know a recent island that belongs to a pirate who is famous in the underground world."
Belivia seemed familiar with the underworld, and at only eighteen or nineteen years old, she spoke of its dark aspects without fear.
"Who?"
"The Queen of Happy Street, Stussy."
"I think I've heard of her."
Time passed, and another several days went by.
The pirate ship taken from Charlotte Owen was quickly sailing forward, and soon several islands appeared in the distance, forming an archipelago.
"It seems there are several warships in the port?" Belivia looked ahead, anxiety creeping into her expression. "Do we still want to head straight in?"
In the distant port, several warships flying seagull flags were indeed docked.
"Let's go," Marco nodded. He had to go to the island and wouldn't be intimidated by the warships. "Sail directly over; don't worry."
"Hmm!"
"Another pirate ship is coming!"
"It seems that many pirate ships have gathered around this nearby island these days!"
"Should we go up and capture them?"
"Don't act rashly for now. Wait for the lieutenant general's orders before taking action! When the time comes, we'll wipe out the pirates on these ships!"
On the warship, the trained mariners observed Marco's pirate ship docked nearby and began discussing amongst themselves.
"This man… I feel like I've seen him somewhere?!"
Someone pointed at Marco's back as he stepped onto the port, unable to contain his surprise.
A veteran swiftly knocked him on the back of the head. "Stupid! Of course, you've seen him on the bounty poster!"
"That's right!"
This group of sailors, hailing from a certain naval base, seemed to have overlooked the fact that a pirate's back appeared in general bounty posters.
As soon as Marco stepped into the port, he was greeted by vibrant decorations, streamers, neon lights, and trees lining both sides of the road, all adorned with colorful lights and cheerful displays.
Joyful music filled the air.
"The New World… really is amazing," Marco thought to himself. He witnessed many things absent from the original story, and as he sailed, he saw all sorts of strange sights, gradually adapting to them.
Soon, they reached the street.
"Alright, let's separate here."
Marco turned to Belivia, who had been closely following him. He had grown fond of this clever little girl during their time together.
"I… You..."
Belivia lowered her head, nervously tugging at the corners of her clothes. Before she finished speaking, her eyes turned red, and tears brimmed in them. She kept her head down, trying to hide her face from Marco. "You… can you not drive me away…?"
"Uh… Well, whatever you want."
Marco shrugged his shoulders, considering that with his current strength, as long as he didn't encounter an enemy of Blackbeard's level, he would not face any significant threat. Moreover, having a skilled navigator by his side seemed essential!
On another part of the island...
"Lord Stussy… A navy ship is entering the island. Are we sure it's alright?"
In the spacious, neon-lit city, a subordinate asked nervously.
In front of him stood a petite woman dressed in a short skirt, exuding a noble aura. She held a glass of red wine, slowly sipping it. Hearing her subordinate's report, Stussy, with a queenly demeanor, gently rapped the goblet with her slender fingers, took a sip of the wine, and replied nonchalantly, "A vice admiral… is not worth the fuss."
"But… he is not your ordinary vice admiral!"
The subordinate seemed reluctant to dismiss the concern.
Stussy interrupted him with a wave of her hand, "A big player would not be afraid of a vice admiral… Don't be so dramatic!"
