Aftermath and returning home

The after maths of the invasion was not good. At first, the news of the death of the third Hokage was spread across the village like wildfire. Since there was a possibility of others taking advantage of the vulnerable moment, every single shinobi including us genins, who were in workable condition, were deployed to missions. While guarding the perimeter of the village as well as the area around was given to chunin and jonins, the cleaning up process was given to genins. Many buildings have fallen during the invasion. Many prisoners have been captured alive. There were many injured shinobi in the hospital.

So even after the invasion ended, I couldn't go back home. As a medic nin I was immediately deployed at hospital. And for the next two days, I had to work continuously with many people. It was tire some. Due to my adaptation, my stamina was never ending. And I have almost conquered sleep. But even then, the mental stress was something that can't be handled by adaptation. In the first day, most of the shinobi with superficial injuries were treated by the non medic nins while we attended to the ones with serious injuries.

Most of the shinobi who were at guard duty, were injured severely since they had to take on the initial wave of surprise attack. But due to quick action of other shinobi, the number of dead people was not high. Considering that it was almost a war, thirteen deaths can definitely be considered as low.

Within three days, life returned to normal for most of the people in the hidden leaf. Of course that does not include chunins and the shinobis with ranks above that. But I was finally allowed to go home.

The funeral of the third hokage was set to be in next two days. Since most of our shops were closed, both of my parents stayed with me. We haven't seen each other since last month. So with my nagging mom and teasing dad, I spent the next two days peacefully.

I was just glad that my mom didn't know about my sexual escapeds with Sasuke. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the peace I enjoyed.

On the second day, Kakashi showed up along with Anko. It was regarding Guren, whom I have captured. Anko told me to come to the T & I after the funeral. So that was a problem for my future self. Without any other interruption, I spent my second day lazing around.

Two days passed away in the blink of an eye. And finally the day of the funeral arrived.

After a long time, I was finally wearing a bra. And I was happy to see that it didn't fit me anymore. I was going to a funeral. So there was no need for seductive clothes. Third Hokage was not my favourite. In fact he looked more like a shady old pervert than anything else. But there was no denying that he was one of the most powerful shinobi to ever exist without any impressive bloodline limit. Not to mention he has led the village for a long time. So it was natural for many people to respect the man.

After putting on black kimono which looked more like the Shinigami uniform from bleach, I finally went out. Mom as a civilian council member has gone early along with dad as her partner. Only a few people has been chosen to go on top of the Hokage tower to pay respect. Team seven, eight and ten were a few of them.

After locking the door I went towards the Hokage tower. Sasuke was waiting for me a few blocks away leaning on a light pole.

We didn't say anything to each other and quietly walked towards the hokage tower. Hinata and Naruto joined us on our way. Later Kiba and Shino joined us as well.

No one opened their mouth. Even Kiba was quite.

The raining was only creating a perfect background for a sad day.

The atmosphere on the top of the hokage tower was somber. Except from the sobbing of konahamaru in the sound of water droplets hitting the floor, nothing was heard during the entire funeral. At the end with the approval of the priest, the body of the third Hokage was taken away to get burried. Naruto was down. And for some reason so was Sasuke. I couldn't see the lingering lust in his eyes. He was never attached to the third Hokage. So what would have happened to make him like this ?

After Naruto went back to his apartment alone, Hinata pulled me away saying that it is girls talk. I had an appointment in the T & I department. But Hinata promised me that it will be quick. So I decided to went with her.

"*sigh*" After hearing Hinata I just sighed. It seems that I was wrong about Sasuke. He was not the most horny person in our batch. At least he has some excuse to get horny.

"Listen Hinata, I have no problem in asking Sasuke for our foursome. But I don't think it is going to solve Naruto's problem. Sex is great to relieve stress. But it won't heal emotional damage. Why don't you give him sometime to recover ?" I asked her. I was not against the idea of having a foursome. But the time wasn't simply right.

"I know what you are talking about. And believe me, I know him better than you. Naruto will be able to recover quickly. In fact I think my plan will help him recover even faster !" Hinata said excitedly.

Hearing her words I could only sigh like an old woman. There was no point in trying to convince her. So the only thing I could do is to convince Sasuke instead. There will be many problems on their way to the leaf right now. So this might not even happen.

"Sure. I will talk to him as soon as possible. But remember I have been assigned to mandatory duties at hospital from tomorrow on. So you have to pick up the time carefully. I will tell you about my shifts tomorrow." I told Hinata.

"Thanks. It will be a lot of fun." Hinata smiledripali and went away.

"*Sigh* Why am I sighing so many times ?" Asking the question to myself, I went towards the T & I building.
