Didn’t you say you could understand me?”

You always tell me to look after my health, but you aren’t taking care of yourself. Without good health, how will you take care of mother and child in the future?!”

Han Yu could have chosen to coddle Su Wenyue, but he chose the truth instead. After all, he had promised his wife, and he’d decided to keep her by his side. His wife, while strong and sensible, had been raised somewhat delicately, needed to become even stronger through experience.

Su Wenyue understood Han Yu’s intentions. Still, she found it difficult to fully accept and adapt. Even though she’d lived another lifetime, she had never faced such situations. Without a doubt, Han Yu was pleased with Su Wenyue’s response. He knew his own wife, and understood that reaching this point was not easy for her. She was brave indeed. He saw the worry and confusion she desperately tried to hide, but he had to resist the urge to comfort her, knowing she had to get through this on her own. As long as she adapted, that was all that mattered.
