Chapter 166
While speaking, Chu Muxi suddenly felt a fluctuation of energy.
He slowly widened his eyes and looked out into space.
The space seemed to ripple, the waves spreading in circles, gradually outlining a huge shape.
It turned out to be a small starship with its invisible shield activated.
The starship slowly approached them, and Zhou Xu pressed a switch somewhere on the wall beside it.
The starship finally came fully close, then opened its rear hatch.
A short passage extended from the rear hatch, connecting to their side.
Zhou Xu pressed the switch again, and a secret small door opened within their shield.
Lu Junzhi walked into the passage first, looked back at Chu Muxi, and stretched out his hand. “Come here.”
Chu Muxi didn’t say anything and took his hand. He felt Lu Junzhi gently pull him forward, bringing him into the passage.
Christie followed behind, and Zhou Xu came out last.
As soon as they entered the starship, Chu Muxi turned around and saw the small door of the shield behind him close quickly.
The docking bay on the starship’s side also retracted.
They had finally boarded the starship.
Upon entering, they saw three people standing inside, waiting for them.
They were all unfamiliar faces that Chu Muxi had never seen before. When they saw Lu Junzhi, they all stood at attention and saluted.
“Boss!”
“Hello, boss!”
“Boss, you’re back!”
Lu Junzhi nodded slightly. “Yeah.”
The three were secretly looking at Chu Muxi, and when they met his gaze, they all grinned naively.
Zhou Xu said to Lu Junzhi and Chu Muxi, “I’ll go inside to make arrangements first.” He waved and took the three people away. Christie also mentioned he’d head back to his room.
Lu Junzhi hummed in response and then looked at Chu Muxi. “Shall I take you to the cockpit?”
“Okay.” Chu Muxi smiled and nodded. “The last time I was on a starship was when I went to the resource star, but I didn’t get a good look then.”
“I’ll take you around now.” Lu Junzhi readily agreed.
Chu Muxi followed Lu Junzhi further inside. Although this was only a small starship, it was fully equipped.
There was an infirmary, a restaurant, cabins, and even a training room.
Chu Muxi paused at the training room and looked inside. It had a fighting area of more than ten square meters, surrounded by various training equipment.
He also spotted the shooting practice target, and his eyes lit up.
Lu Junzhi smiled. “Want to try it?”
Chu Muxi turned to him. “Can I?”
“Come here, I’ll teach you.” Lu Junzhi took him inside and led him over.
Chu Muxi looked around and asked, confused, “Where’s the gun?”
Lu Junzhi pressed something, and Chu Muxi’s eyes flickered. Suddenly, a virtual laser gun appeared before him.
“A virtual laser gun?” Chu Muxi looked at him doubtfully. “Will this work?” Without the weight and feel of a real gun, it seemed impossible to train properly.
Lu Junzhi smiled mysteriously, then turned around and pulled out two metal rings resembling bracelets. “Stretch out your hand.”
Chu Muxi extended his hand as instructed, curious. “What are these?”
Lu Junzhi placed the metal bracelets on him. There was a click as the rings locked into place.
Chu Muxi felt his wrists sink, almost causing him to squat down. “It’s so heavy—this, this is—”
“It simulates the weight of a laser gun. Come here; I’ll show you how to hold it.” Lu Junzhi positioned Chu Muxi in front of him.
Chu Muxi stepped closer, and Lu Junzhi embraced him from behind, holding Chu Muxi’s hands with his own.
“Do you have to do it like this?” Chu Muxi whispered, feeling Lu Junzhi’s arms around him.
Lu Junzhi leaned close to his ear, his voice deep and smiling. “Yes.”
