“You have gorgeous face. I’m so jealous.” Jiang Xing said with half-truth, “Your family is rich, you are good-looking. Oh, I don’t know, it must be very nice to be you.”
Chu Muxi gave him a blank look.
Jiang Xing couldn’t help but sense something odd in Chu Muxi’s demeanor. He thought he saw a hint of hatred in Chu Muxi’s eyes, but dismissed it as an illusion. He believed that no matter how beautiful Chu Muxi was, he was merely a “stupid beauty”.
In the past, Chu Muxi might have reassured Jiang Xing and claimed that they were best friends who would share everything. But now, he had only one word in his heart: ‘Get lost.’
“What’s there to be jealous about?” Chu Muxi snorted, “Is my face something that everyone could ogle all day long. I’m not a monkey for them to see.” He said and left quickly.
Jiang Xing chased him and asked, “You haven’t told me yet, why did you change department?”
Chu Muxi said casually, “Who knows. Isn’t it because some scumbags? Either way, they said I violated the rules and the Finance Department couldn’t accommodate me anymore. So, it was transferring to another school or different department. I might as well switched department. I heard that the performance department is very lenient and good. You can skip classes if you want and still graduated with good credits. Do you want to come with me?”
After Chu Muxi done speaking, he turned to the person beside him. Sure enough, an unnatural expression flashed across Jiang Xing’s face. But he still said, “Okay, I will transfer to accompany you. We are brothers! We share hardships and blessings together.”
“Yes, we share blessings and hardships together.” Chu Muxi repeated. He thought to himself, ‘So, what you call sharing the trouble is that you took the initiative to join my enemy and helped frame me, right?’
“Muxi, what is wrong with you?” Jiang Xing felt something was weird with his friend. He touched his arms, there was sudden cold enveloping his body. He was a little afraid at the moment.
Chu Muxi lowered his head, after a moment he raised up and gave Jiang Xing a big smile, “I just suddenly felt great that I have a brother like you. It’s really good.”
Jiang Xing was very relieved, he put his arm around Chu Muxi’s neck, “Me too! I’m really grateful to be your friend.”
Chu Muxi smiled, “You really don’t have to come with me in the performance department. I’m doing this for fun anyway. Let’s wait and see. Just stay in the finance department, I managed to get it for you. Don’t you want to live up my good intentions.”
Chu Muxi had used his connections with the Shen family to enroll Jiang Xing directly into Imperial University, surpassing the obstacles his friend’s background would typically pose.
Jiang Xing had a relieved look when he heard this. Chu Muxi sneered; it was indeed all lie.
Chu Muxi was truly the best brother to Jiang Xing, regardless of his friend’s status as an illegitimate child. He heard Jiang Xing’s mother was deceived by the father and gave birth to him without marriage. He refused the responsibility and abandoned both mother and son to marry a young noble lady.
He didn’t care about Jiang Xing’s status. He just wanted to repay the kindness Jiang Xing had shown him in the past, when they had shared a bowl of clear soup noodles with Xiangyun pollen. This act of kindness had created a bond of friendship between them, even if Chu Muxi had been unaware of Jiang Xing’s hidden agenda.

At some point, several people ran over and blocked their way.
“You… you are the most beautiful student!” someone wearing a senior uniform said excitedly and blushed at him.
Chu Muxi blinked at her, “Senior, I’m not the most beautiful student. You must have mistaken me for someone.”
“How is it possible? With your face, how could I admit the wrong person?” another senior held up a camera and said, “Junior, I am a senior from the News and Media department, Cen Xue! I would like to ask you to accept my interview. We are preparing to revive the Chinese civilization event in the old star era. I hope you can participate; your appearance is in line with our theme! If you join, our activities will be even better!”
Chu Muxi, in a gentleman manner, shook his head, “I’m sorry, senior sisters. I was sick before I came back to school. So, I have to study hard now.”
“Oh, I won’t delay you at all. Really! If you participate, we can persuade the school to let you return to the Finance Department.”
Chu Muxi’s eyes narrowed instantly. This woman had actually investigated about him.
The sudden burst of momentum from his body caused the people around him to step back. what just happened?
Only Cen Xue’s eyes were shining with strange excitement. She decided to win over this junior student for their event.
Chu Muxi felt agitated, sensing he was being watched. It was better to go back to the classroom quickly. These people were too enthusiastic.
Looking at Jiang Xing again, he had been pushed away from the crowd. His eyes were full of jealousy and unwillingness. Every time Chu Muxi was present, no one seemed to notice him.
Jiang Xing stood in the corner, thinking, one day, he must make this young man kneel in front of him.
Although, Chu Muxi was surrounded, he was aware of the vicious gaze directed on him. A girl was accidentally pushed down.
A fair hand helped her up, and a soft gentle voice could be heard, “Senior, be careful.”
The girl looked at the beautiful boy in font of her, she felt like falling in love all over again.
