(Haruto Takeru POV)

The controller vibrated in my hands as my character delivered the final blow. The screen lit up with a dramatic "PREY SLAUGHTERED" message, but I wasn't fazed. It was just another day at my friend's game store, nestled in the corner seat with a borrowed headset and endless free gaming time.

"Haru, enough of the games. You need to study for the exams coming up."

I barely turned my head as my older brother Hiro's voice rang out behind me. His tone carried the usual mix of annoyance and responsibility that I had long since learned to tune out.

"Pfff," I chuckled, still glued to the screen. "Why? You're the one who's supposed to be stuck in textbooks. When did you last read a book, bro?"

I knew my words would sting, but it was true. Hiro was the one constantly nagging about school while I breezed through every exam with perfect scores, barely trying. Intelligence was my safety net. I was confident in it, maybe too confident.

"Tch," Hiro clicked his tongue, clearly irritated, but I smirked. Victory for me.

But my triumph was short-lived. Hiro marched over, snatched the controller from my hands, and stood in front of the screen like some towering roadblock.

"Alright, genius," he said, his voice firm. "We're leaving. Now."

I groaned in protest, slumping back in my seat. "Hiro, come on! One more run—"

"No." His tone brooked no argument. Grabbing my arm, he hauled me out of the chair. I shot a glare at him, but he didn't flinch.

"Fine," I muttered, stuffing my hands in my pockets as we left the store.

The evening air was cooler than I expected, the sky painted in hues of orange and purple as the sun dipped below the horizon. Hiro walked briskly ahead, clearly still annoyed, while I lagged behind, distracted by my thoughts.

It happened when we crossed the street.

A truck horn blared.

Time seemed to slow as I turned my head, only to see the glaring headlights of an oncoming car. My body froze, but Hiro's instincts didn't. He lunged toward me, pushing me out of the way.

Or at least, he tried.

Before the impact could happen, a brilliant, otherworldly light enveloped us. A strange, glowing magic circle appeared beneath our feet, intricate symbols spinning and pulsating with energy.

Then, silence.

----

(Haruto Takeru POV)

Darkness.

That's all I could see.

No streetlights, no cars, no sky. Just an endless void stretching in every direction.

I couldn't feel my body, yet I knew I was… somewhere. It wasn't like sleep or even unconsciousness. It was worse. The silence was suffocating, pressing down on me like a weight.

I tried to move, but my limbs refused to respond. I tried to scream, but no sound came out. It felt like I was being crushed by the sheer emptiness around me.

Is this what death feels like?

My mind raced, desperate for answers. I remembered the light, the circle, Hiro's panicked voice—but now, there was nothing. Nothing but this void.

Fear crept in, cold and sharp, wrapping itself around me like a vise. For the first time in my life, I felt powerless. My perfect life, my confidence, my intelligence—none of it mattered here.

I had always thought silence was peaceful, a welcome reprieve from the chaos of life. But this silence? This silence had its own voice, one that screamed in my mind, taunting me with the unknown.

Am I alone?

The thought terrified me more than anything.

"Hiro?" I called out—or at least in my mind, I tried. The name echoed in my head, unanswered.

I missed my brother.

Minutes passed, or maybe months. Time was meaningless here.

Just when I thought the darkness would consume me entirely, something shifted. A faint glow appeared in the distance, soft and flickering like a dying ember. It was small, almost insignificant, but it was enough.

Enough to give me hope.

And with hope came determination. I didn't know where I was, or what was happening, but I wasn't going to let it end here.

I'll find my way out. I have to.

Fortunately I can push my body or so.

The light grew brighter, and the void began to change. The silence gave way to faint whispers, the kind that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The ground beneath me solidified, and I could finally feel my body again.

I took a shaky step toward the light, my heart pounding in my chest.

Whatever awaited me on the other side, I wasn't ready—but I had no choice but to face it.

I Miss my brother.

-----

(Haruto Takeru POV)

The light faded, but the darkness didn't leave. It clung to me, suffocating and cold, yet... I could feel my body again. Or at least, something resembling it.

The first thing I noticed was how alien it felt. My arms, legs—everything felt wrong. My limbs no longer moved as I commanded. Instead, they wobbled, shifted, and stretched unnaturally, like they were made of gelatin.

Panic surged through me.

What the hell is this?

Before I could make sense of it, a new sensation took over. Pressure. Crushing, relentless pressure. My surroundings weren't solid anymore—I was submerged, enveloped in water. I tried to scream, but the sound was swallowed by the torrent.

The current surged, dragging me forward with no chance to fight back. My body, now as pliable as jelly, offered no resistance. I was powerless, at the mercy of this raging flood.l

Fear clawed at my mind. I couldn't breathe but My body is fine, I don't understand. I couldn't stop. My world had turned into a whirlpool of chaos, and I was its unwilling captive.

I squeezed my eyes shut, forcing myself to focus. Stay calm. Think.

For the first time in what felt like hours, I managed to open my eyes. The scene around me was horrifying.

A city—a once-thriving city—lay submerged in water. Ancient Big Walls, decayed buildings loomed around me, their walls cracked and moss-covered by floods. The midday sun struggled to pierce through the haze, casting an eerie glow over the devastation.

And then, I realized: I can't see my body.

A fresh wave of terror struck. I looked down, desperate for answers, only to see... nothing. My limbs, my torso, my hands—gone. All I could make out was a black, rippling form where my body should have been.

What am I?

The water dragged me further, but my instincts kicked in. I spotted a wooden beam jutting out of the flood and flailed toward it. My strange, jelly-like form clung to it with surprising ease. I steadied myself and dared to glance into the water below.

What I saw turned my blood—or whatever I had now—cold.

The reflection was faint but unmistakable. Black tendrils twisted and pulsed across a humanoid form. And my face… or what was left of it. A familiar, monstrous visage stared back at me.

Wide, gleaming white eyes. A sharp, toothy grin stretching unnaturally wide.

Venom.

It wasn't just my body. It was my mind. The realization hit me like a freight train, but before I could process it, something else surged through me—a flood of information, memories that weren't mine.

The knowledge came fast, too fast.

I saw images of a dark, ancient being—a towering figure wielding a black blade. Knull. The God of Symbiotes. I saw worlds consumed, civilizations devoured, and the HIVE MIND spreading like a plague.

The memories were vivid, sharp, as if I'd lived them myself. They are memories of other venoms of my counter part across the multiverse.

"Venom," I muttered, the word tasting foreign in my mouth.

It wasn't just the origin of Venom—it was everything. The collective consciousness of an entire race poured into me, leaving no room for ignorance or denial.

I knew their purpose. Their hunger. Their history of conquest. And now, their connection to me.

The floodwaters carried me further, but my mind was elsewhere, grappling with the weight of what I'd just learned.

This can't be real. I'm... me. I'm Haruto Takeru. I'm a gamer, a perfect student. I'm human.

But even as I thought it, I knew it wasn't entirely true anymore.

Something had changed.

The emotions I should have felt—panic, despair, anger—were muted, distant. Instead, a cold rationality had taken their place. I wasn't reacting as I used to.

I was calm. Too calm.

It dawned on me that I had lost something vital, something that made me who I was. Humanity.

Yet, at the same time, I didn't feel empty. The power coursing through me, the endless potential of this symbiote body—it was intoxicating.

Wait, What I'm thinking. No no no...

I clenched a fist, watching as the black tendrils coiled and tightened around my fingers. My reflection in the water smiled back at me, sharp and menacing.

"I'm not Haruto anymore," I murmured, my voice a strange mix of my own and something deeper, more primal.

I didn't know what lay ahead, but one thing was certain:

The perfect life I once had was over.

-------

Venom (Haruto) POV

I had accepted it.

There was no going back. The flood, the city, the alien power coursing through my body—this was my reality now. The flood had claimed me, the city had swallowed me whole, and the memories of what I was—or once was—faded like the remnants of a forgotten dream.

My senses were sharper now. Every flicker of light, every drop of water, every ripple in the blackness around me screamed for my attention. It was clear that I wasn't just Venom anymore. I was... something more, something far less human. I had lost the essence of who I was. My emotions—gone. The fear, the anger, the sorrow that once made me human had all been swept away, replaced by something cold, something primal.

And yet... as I looked at the remnants of the old city around me, a fleeting thought tugged at my mind: Maybe, Did I came my back in time, or is this a different world. Like Isekai stories my brother read often.

But that thought vanished as quickly as it came.

I saw him then.

A figure, a human, struggling against the current. He wore an old-fashioned dress, tattered and soaked, a garment from a bygone era. His legs was bruised, blood dripping from a wound on his leg. Yet, despite his weakened state, there was something about him that resonated with me.

Is he... like me? I can see something dark on him.

My instincts, enhanced by the symbiote, screamed at me. This man was no ordinary human. There was something about him—something that linked us. It wasn't just his desperation or the strange energy pulsing from his body. It was something deeper.

A bond.

Without hesitation, I dived into the flood, the water surging violently as I hurtled toward him. The floodwaters churned around me as if to resist my every movement, but I ignored it. I needed this bond. I needed to merge with him.

My symbiote instincts took over.

I will make him my host.

The moment I reached him, I lashed out with my tendrils, wrapping them around his body. I felt the resistance at first—the strange energy from his being—but my need to survive, to thrive, pushed me onward. I forced the bond, my tendrils sinking deep into his flesh, intertwining with his soul. The two of us... merged.

We become Venom.

For a moment, there was nothing.

Then, darkness.

I couldn't tell where I ended and he began.

A human consciousness.

I could feel the weight of it, the deep terror and confusion surging through me as the human's mind tried to understand the union. But it wasn't just his mind—I could feel something else. Something twisted and wrong.

Suddenly, the human's body—the one I now shared—began to convulse violently. Something crawled out from within, forcing its way through his mouth, a mass of dark energy that twisted and roiled. The thing that emerged shifted and writhed, turning into five monstrous, snarling demon dogs, each with glowing red eyes and sharp, jagged teeth. And then, from the same twisted form, a massive dragon, its scales black and glistening, unfurled its wings, roaring into the void.

Curses.

Beasts, born from malice and hatred. Or whatever shit it is.

It made me anger to the point, I wanted eat there heads.

They were here to devour me. Devour us.

I could feel the power of the symbiote surge within me now, a darkness burning through every cell of my new body. My senses sharpened. My mind, once clouded, now burned with clarity. This was no longer just about survival. This was war.

I'm a hard core Gamer, with a Roar I mocked them for a fight.

The first demon dog lunged, its maw snapping wide open. Its claws tore through the air as it pounced, aiming straight for my head. I reacted instinctively, my tendrils extending, wrapping around the creature's body. With a brutal yank, I tore it in half, the dark energy dissipating in a burst of shadow. But there was no time to savor the victory. Then I eat the demon dog head alive.

The other dogs were already on the attack on dragon. Then They rushed at me, their speed overwhelming, their fangs hungry for my flesh. One of them sank its teeth into my arm, and for a moment, I felt something I hadn't in what seemed like forever—a sharp pain.

But I am Venom. Pain does not control me.

I retaliated with ferocity, twisting and throwing the beast off me, only for another dog to leap at my back, its jaws wide. I felt the weight of it, but I didn't flinch. With a howl, I spun and launched a blast of tendrils straight through the beast, obliterating it.

The dragon, enraged by my resistance, roared and unleashed a torrent of dark fire. The flames slammed into me, but I absorbed it, letting the fire merge with my body, feeding on it, growing stronger. I let the flames propel me forward, slamming into the dragon's chest with the full force of my body.

I have Fire and sound resistance.

The impact shook the very air around us. But the dragon was a creature of darkness, just like me. Its black claws slashed at me, cutting through my body, but I was relentless. I twisted, reforming myself, my body stretching and morphing in ways that no human could comprehend.

The final demon dog, larger and more grotesque than the others, lunged at both the dragon and me. Its massive form collided with ours, sending all three of us crashing into the flooded streets below.

But I didn't care. I felt the bond between me and this strange human—the one who was now my host—strengthen. I could feel his will, his thoughts intertwining with mine. The power of the symbiote surged. I began to eat away at the demon dogs, each bite drawing their strength into me. The dragon roared in fury, but even it was no match for the combined might of the symbiote and the new power I had claimed.

With a final, crushing blow, I tore the dragon apart and eat its heart. The cursed beasts dissolved into nothingness, their dark energy dissipating into the flood.

But even in victory, I felt myself slipping. The darkness around me was closing in again. My vision blurred, and the sensation of falling consumed me once more.

The human consciousness—my host—was fading, but I understood now. The curses we'd just fought were the Curse of the Beast and the Curse of the Dragon, two forces bound to this man.

Those curses tried eat him but we devoured them.

As the floodwaters began to consume us once more, I could feel the power swelling within me.

And then, everything went black.

The Bond of Shadows

_____

(Venom POV)

When we opened our eyes, the rush of the floodwater greeted us again. The chaos of our surroundings felt surreal, but I acted on instinct. Using our tentacles, I lashed out and grabbed hold of a nearby pillar, hauling us out of the current and onto solid ground.

I felt it then—my host's mind, his memories, flooding into me like a torrent. It was overwhelming, disorienting. But as the pieces fell into place, I began to understand him.

Subaru Natsuki.

The name echoed in my thoughts, tied to countless loops, failures, and triumphs. Return by Death. I saw everything: his fear, his resolve, the torment of dying over and over, only to rise again. It was horrifying and fascinating all at once. The power I had sensed in him earlier, that dark, overwhelming presence—it was the Shadow Attribute. Perfectly suited for me. A host like him was one in a thousand in this world.

But my thoughts were interrupted.

"Whoa, whoa! What the hell is going on? Get off my body, parasite! Did Capella create you or something?"

Subaru's voice was panicked, his eyes darting wildly as he grasped at the black tendrils of my symbiotic form clinging to him.

"Parasite?!" I roared, my voice reverberating through his thoughts. "You've got it all wrong! I wasn't created by that bitch! AND DON'T CALL ME PARASITE!"

I leaped to the side, dragging us onto dry ground with a swift, fluid motion. His body jolted with mine, and for the first time, he went quiet, startled by the shift in my tone.

"Okay, okay! Sorry for calling you a parasite!" he blurted out, his voice tinged with unease. "It's just... I've seen so much shit lately, I can't even tell what's real anymore."

I paused, sensing his emotions. The frustration, the fear—he was just like I had been when I first became... this. "Subaru," I said, my voice softening, though still firm. "Listen to me. I'm not your enemy. That Capella woman is bad news—pure evil. We're the good ones."

The sound of my voice, deep and resonant, seemed to make him uneasy. He stiffened slightly. "What do you mean, 'we'?"

"We bonded and now we become venom"

"It doesn't explain anything, wait I need to go and check my friends"

I hesitated. For the first time since our bond, I felt something stir within me—an echo of humanity. "I saw your memories," I admitted. "I know what you've been through. I thought it was only fair... for you to see mine too."

"What?" Subaru froze. "Wait, wait, wait. You mean... you saw my memories? Like, all of them? My... my ability?"

"Yes," I confirmed. "I know about your ability and the penalty that comes with it. I understand why you've kept it a secret. But I'm not just some parasite riding along for fun. I needed to see, to understand you. Now... it's your turn."

Before he could argue, I opened my memories to him. I felt him recoil at first, overwhelmed by the alien sensations, but then he grew quiet as the pieces fell into place.

"You're... you're from another world too?" he murmured, astonished.

"Exactly," I said. "Just like you. But instead of being teleport as a human, I ended up like this—Venom."

Subaru's mind raced as he processed everything he had seen. "You're... Venom? Like, the Venom from the movies from your world? The comic books?" He paused, his face twisting in disbelief. "What the hell is this? How does that even make sense? You and I from different worlds"

"Does it matter?" I shot back. "You're in a fantasy world with knights, witches, and looping death cycles. And you're asking me if I make sense?"

He blinked, then sighed, running a hand through our body. "Fair point."

"Good. Now that we've got that out of the way, call me Venom," I said, crossing my tendrils smugly.

"Venom, huh?" He tilted his head, still wary. "Alright, Venom. What now?"

I could feel his unease. He was talking too much, his words coming out in a frantic mess. But when I leaned in and reminded him again, "Subaru, you can talk freely, I won't die. That which won't kill him," he stopped.

For the first time since our bond, I felt the weight of his emotions. He was trembling.

"You saw everything, didn't you?" he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I can't even talk about it with anyone. Not without—" He broke off, his hands shaking.

"You don't have to explain," I said. "I understand. And I'm here. You're not alone in this anymore."

He looked up at me, his expression conflicted. "Why me?"

"Because you're the only one who can bond with me," I explained. "Your Shadow Attribute—it makes you one in a thousand. No, one in a million. You're special, Subaru. And whether you like it or not, we're stuck with each other now."

He chuckled bitterly. "Lucky me."

"Luck has nothing to do with it," I said firmly. "You've survived this long because of your strength. Not just your ability. Your willpower, your determination, You should stop thinking yourself low, I know you think everyone thinking you are great but it was ture, You made it this far. Many would have runaway in your position.—that's what drew me to you. You are strong Subaru, as long as I'm alive. I will remember you And now... we're going to survive together."

He went quiet for a moment, then nodded slowly. "Its embarrassing to hear praises. Alright, Venom. Let's make this work. But, uh..." we scratched the back of our head awkwardly. "How old are you, exactly? You look young in the memories. "

"Thirteen," I said flatly.

His eyes widened. "Thirteen?! You're just a kid!"

"I'm Venom," I corrected. "Age doesn't matter to us anymore,"

"Well, it matters to me," he retorted. "I'm not about to leave a kid to fend for himself in this crazy world. You're sticking with me now, got it?"

I grinned internally. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

For the first time in what felt like forever, I felt something stir within me—something warm, something human.

It's same feeling I always get from my brother.

I hope he is okay.

_______

(Subaru Natsuki's POV)

I stared in awe as Venom turned inside of me, his slimy, alien form pulling away and leaving me standing there. I could see my own legs—unbroken, perfectly fine. It felt... surreal.

"I-I can walk again," I muttered, testing the ground beneath my feet.

But the momentary relief faded as I caught sight of Venom's face for the first time. His massive, jagged maw stretched wide in an unnerving grin, and his glossy, black skin shimmered under the faint light. His grotesque, bulging white eyes stared directly at me.

"Your face is terrifying," I blurted out, taking a step back instinctively.

"Thanks for the compliment," Venom growled, his deep, guttural voice rumbling with amusement.

"It's not a compliment!" I shot back, trying to suppress the shiver that ran down my spine.

Venom tilted his massive head, as if contemplating my words, before turning it to scan the surroundings. His sudden change in demeanor sent a chill through me.

"Subaru, get ready," he said, his tone low and serious.

"What do you mean, 'get ready'?" I asked, the panic creeping back into my voice.

But before he could answer, I saw it—a creature emerging from the shadows. Its form was grotesque, a demonic beast resembling a dog, but its body was jet-black with crimson lines that pulsed like veins under its skin. Its tail ended in a sharp, blade-like appendage, glinting dangerously in the faint light.

"What the hell is that?" I stammered.

From the rubble of the destroyed homes around us, more of the same creatures crawled into view, their red-lined bodies radiating malice as they surrounded us.

Venom didn't flinch. He turned his head to face me, a smug grin forming on his hideous face. "They're new, right?"

"Yes," I replied, swallowing hard. "I haven't seen them before, but..." My eyes widened as recognition struck. "Wait. I think I know who made them. It has to be her."

Venom tilted his head, curious from the memories he saw before. "Her?"

"It's the Sin Archbishop of Lust," I spat out, anger rising in my chest. "Capella Emerada Lugnica. She's behind this."

Venom seemed to sense my emotions, the anger rolling off me in waves. He grinned wider, his sharp teeth glinting. "So... we can kill them, right?"

"Yeah," I said, clenching my fists. "We can kill them."

As if on cue, the demonic creatures began their attack, snarling and lunging toward us with terrifying speed.

Venom turned back to face them, his deep voice resonating as he spoke the words that sent a chill through me.

"We... are Venom."

In an instant, the black symbiote engulfed my body again, transforming me back into our combined form. The surge of power that coursed through me was exhilarating and terrifying all at once.

Venom wasted no time, launching a tendril to grab the nearest demonic creature mid-lunge. He pulled it close, his teeth gleaming as he spoke.

"So many snacks, so little time to waste," Venom growled, his voice dripping with dark amusement. "I want to test these new powers... the Curse of the Beast and the Curse of the Dragon."

The battlefield fell silent as Venom let loose an ear-shattering roar, his guttural voice vibrating through the air. I barely had time to register what was happening before all the demonic creatures froze in their tracks. Their glowing red eyes flickered, their limbs trembling as if an unseen force was pinning them down.

"W-What the hell was that?!" I stammered, my body tensing as the eerie silence settled.

Venom's deep voice rumbled with satisfaction. "A new skill. A gift from the Curse of the Beast."

I blinked, confused but also vaguely horrified. "Wait... Curse of the Beast? And you mentioned something about a Curse of the Dragon earlier?"

A memory surfaced, and the realization hit me. "I remember capella using dragon blood on my leg before . Are you saying-"

"I ate the curses on your body, Venom interrupted, his voice devoid of remorse. "The Curse of the Beast and the Curse of the Dragon. They were delicious."

Before I could process his words, Venom's massive form lunged forward, grabbing one of the immobilized creatures by the head.

As the next wave of creatures lunged at us, Venom roared, his tendrils lashing out like whips. One wrapped around a beast's neck, snapping it with a sickening crack, while another impaled a creature mid-air.

The fight was brutal, chaotic, and relentless, but with every creature we destroyed, I felt Venom's excitement grow. He was testing the limits of our new powers, reveling in the carnage.

"What are you doing?" I asked, watching in morbid fascination as he unhinged his jaw to an unnatural degree and bit down hard.

The crunch of the creature's skull echoed in the air as Venom devoured its head in one bite.

"Why are you eating their heads?!" I exclaimed, both disgusted and terrified.

Venom jagged grin splitting his face. "We, symbiotes, require a sufficient amount of phenethylamine to sustain ourselves. It's a chemical found in either chocolate or the human brain. Lucky for us, these demonic creatures have it in abundance."

He tore into another creature, savoring it like a delicacy. "These ones are packed with it. This feast will keep us sustained for weeks!"

I stared at him, dumbfounded. "You're telling me you' re basically powered by brain chemicals? And eat humans too "

"Precisely," Venom replied between bites, his tone disturbingly cheerful. "I don't want to eat humans expect Evil And lucky for us, these demons are a rare treat. Their brains are even more potent than humans. I can't wait to eat them all."

Watching him devour another head, I felt an unexpected pang of pity for the creatures. "I suddenly feel bad for those demonic dogs now..." I muttered.

Venom paused for a moment, his massive head swiveling toward me. "Why? They' d happily tear you apart and leave your bones for Capella's next experiment or re-run the game again."

"Well, yeah, but still, Seeing them get their brains munched on like snacks is a little... unsettling."

"Weakness," Venom scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain.

"Survival means doing what's necessary. We understand that better than anyone, don't we, Subaru?"

His words stung, but they weren't entirely wrong. After everything I'd endured, I knew the world didn't play fair. Still, watching Venom tear through those creatures was a stark reminder that I was now partnered with something far more primal than myself.

It was horrifying to see venom actions from my Point of view and I can feel what venom is doing.

As Venom continued his feast, I couldn't help but wonder: Was I the one changing him, or was he the one changing me?
