Chapter 5: Overpowered Cheap Skills
The first thing on the agenda was obviously the most important skill.
•—Premium Shop—•

•—Balance: 833 Trell—•
• Inspect Monster Level: 200 Trell
This was the first skill he purchased, and it soon appeared inside his status screen.
Next up was a skill that would come in handy during battle.
•—Premium Shop—•
Category: Skills/Melee
•—Balance: 633 Trell—•
• Basic Weapon Mastery: 500 Trell
It was expensive, however, it was one of the best skills one could get this early on. Therefore, Rael bought it without hesitation.
Without wasting much time, he glanced at their descriptions.
Inspect Monster Level: [Level 0 | 0/100] {Common}
View the level of any monster within 10 levels of the user.
Basic Weapon Mastery: [Level 0 | 0/100] {Common}
Increases attack accuracy by 10% and damage by 15% for all weapons.
Oh? I could do that? A wide smirk appeared on his face as he made his way through the dungeon.
Despite spending a whole day killing, Rael obviously had made himself a makeshift base camp.
And it did not take long to arrive, as there was a makeshift bed made out of rat skin in a small, dark crevice.
While he could admit it was damn disgusting, the comfort far outweighed the disgust.
But his days seemed like they would be quite plain. He'd wake up, fight monsters, get money, and sleep.
This cycle would repeat until, eventually, he'd get tired of it.
However, Rael put those thoughts aside since even if he whined about it, nothing would change.
He had to get stronger to finally escape this shitty dungeon either way.
But before he went on another excursion, he'd first check his newfound stats.

Good, everything went up. Rael nodded to himself with satisfaction before swiftly making a fire and cooking up a rat.
It was pretty delicious if he ignored the disgusting texture, of course.
But there was a flaw in his thinking, as he had killed every single rat in the dungeon, and now no new rats would respawn.
In turn, if he did not clear this dungeon within 2–3 days, all the food reserves would decompose, and unless he bought from the Premium Shop, he'd die of starvation.
As for water...

It was very cheap.
Nonetheless, after Rael was finished, he made his way back to the Stalactite, and upon spotting a monster, he used his inspection skill.
Goblin Archer [Level 4] [69/100 HP]
Wait, its HP is pretty low. Rael pondered, approaching slightly closer.
Yet he couldn't get too close, as the very next moment, the Goblin Archer spotted him, shooting an arrow straight toward his head.
He swiftly evaded the arrow and dashed at the Goblin Archer.
However, just as he thought it would be an easy kill, another goblin approached him rapidly.
Goblin Warrior [Level 5] [122/150 HP]
Shit. Rael's eyes widened as the goblin warrior's shabby steel sword narrowly missed him.
Despite that...
[HP -29! 151/170]
[HP -3! 148/170]
He was hit with an arrow in the abdomen, and by the damage alone, Rael could tell this bow was definitely not damaged, meaning its base damage was high.
I'm just glad monsters can't use the Attack Power stat, or else I'd be dead earlier. Rael thought, maneuvering around in a way that would bring him closer to the archer.
In the midst of the Goblin Warrior's shabby attacks, Rael got a hit in, slashing its forearm.
-72!
I'm just glad the stat works on me... though I need to raise my Critical Damage Increase stat. The damage barely differs from normal hits.
Nonetheless, the attack was able to stagger the Goblin Warrior long enough for Rael to approach the archer.
It shot an arrow at him, which he split in half before he walked up to it and slashed its neck.
-78! Critical Hit!
<+49 Trell Acquired>
Putting the kill notification aside, he focused on the Goblin Warrior, who, after the Goblin Archer's death, had grown a bit ferocious.
But due to that ferocity, it was much easier to predict, as all he had to keep doing was dodge.
[HP -3! 145/170]
However, he couldn't dodge forever since the bleeding ailment was still active.
Getting a good hit in seemed a bit difficult; therefore, Rael tried out his usual approach.
He backed away, making distance between himself and the Goblin Warrior.
As he did, and the Goblin Warrior began approaching him, Rael simply chucked the military knife right between its eyes.
-81! Critical Hit!
<+64 Trell Acquired>
Rael smirked at the results.
[Basic Weapon Mastery] really is overpowered.
