Raise Love

Chapter 25: Raise Love-25-「Ryder Kensington」: Not going

Soon, the students of each major and class stood in their designated positions. The "rustling" sound of adjusting the megaphone on the podium spread, and the students below quickly quieted down.

The student union was in charge of maintaining order. There was an arm's distance between each person front and back. The students followed the instructions and opened their folding stools and sat down simultaneously. Soon, the messy formation became orderly and neat.

The school principal gave a speech and address for the opening ceremony of the military training. A series of idle talk took more than an hour. Then came the secretary, the president, who talked about the excellent deeds of the school in previous years, and the student representatives gave speeches.

Accompanied by the increasingly dense drizzle, everyone below listened drowsily.

Some students who tried to hold umbrellas to avoid the rain were severely stopped by the patrolling student union members. They pouted and complained a lot on the first day of school.

Sydney hid her phone in her sleeve and played games with her head down. Aria had nothing fun to do, and it was not convenient to read novels while hiding it. So she could only feel sleepy and nodded with her water cup in her arms.

She woke up with a start, and the ceremony still wasn't over. She raised her hand to touch her face, which was damp, moist and slippery from the misty drizzle —

The sunscreen was almost washed off.

She sighed. Sure enough, no matter at which stage, various event ceremonies and opening speeches were the most annoying.

The speeches of the superiors were boring, they just liked to play around, were really bad, had no sincerity at all, and were like an assembly line. There was really nothing of substance.

She held her chin in her hand and waited idly for about another hour. It was a little past ten o'clock, and finally it ended.

After the leaders' speeches, the boy, with a straight and elegant figure, walked up with one hand in his pocket and lazily took the microphone.

Without sunlight, he lowered his head. Seen from a distance, his face was even covered with a layer of shadow, making several bold strokes on his angular profile.

Aria finally perked up a bit.

Ryder = her full - automatic large - scale mobile charger.

She looked at that figure, feeling that the health bar she had just lost had come back a little, and might even return to full.

Bingo.

All stood up.

Under the gaze of everyone.

Ryder adjusted the microphone a few times, cleared his throat softly after testing the sound, and said in a deep voice, "The instructors of each class quickly claim their students. If there's nothing else, let's start."

The entire grade of students couldn't fit on one playground. Only some majors stayed on the playground for training, while other majors went to other venues. Each instructor dispersed to look for their classes upon hearing the order and left the playground in a mighty procession.

Aria's financial management major stayed on the playground.

Ryan Bennett waved his hand and led his class to walk towards the west. As Aria was pulled by Sydney to follow, she subconsciously looked up at the podium again. gòйЪ.ōΓg

That person hadn't left yet.

As if sensing something, he happened to look over and squinted his eyes.

I don't know if it was Aria's illusion, but she actually felt that Ryder seemed to smile in her direction.

She was startled, quickly retracted her gaze, and obediently lowered her head and stopped looking.

Flags with the names of majors and classes were inserted in the territory of each class. Ryan Bennett didn't rush to start training. Instead, he first asked the class to change their positions according to height.

Then he demonstrated the standard way to use the folding stool and the movements. After teaching, he asked everyone to sit down on the spot.

Ryan Bennett: "We're not in a hurry to train this morning. Let's take it easy. Let's start with self - introductions first. I want to get to know everyone."

Everyone: "..."

"Who wants to go first?" Ryan Bennett propped his chin with his elbow on his knee and scanned the more than forty students in his class with a smile.

His eyes lingered on Aria for a moment. He casually turned his head and glanced at someone slacking off on the podium.

He snorted coldly in his heart.

His smile became even more sincere.

"Of course, just self - introducing is too boring. How about this, when you introduce yourselves, talk about your hobbies by the way. It just so happens that I can help you get to know each other better."

Saying this, he looked at the list in his hand, rolled it into a paper tube and played with it in his hand. "Let's go in the order of student numbers."

Aria thought about her student number, wasn't sure, opened Facebook, entered the class group, and found the folder to look through it.

She was number 23.

She let out a sigh of relief.

You know, from junior high school to university, as a student, the thing she hated the most was definitely self - introductions. Besides her name, she was embarrassingly at a loss for what to say.

— After all, not everyone has definite hobbies.

Amidst everyone's sighs and resistance, the person with the first student number slowly stood up. Then the second, the third. As more people spoke, when it came to hobbies, the students became more lively, making jokes or chiming in to show agreement.

"Um, my hobbies are playing games and reading novels, playing online games about martial arts and cultivating immortals."

"Great minds think alike. My Facebook number is 132****886. Add me as a friend and we can play together later. The season is almost over recently..."

"Instructor, instructor, do you play games? Add me as a friend, please?"

Ryan Bennett responded with a smile, casually reported his Facebook and Instagram numbers, and then lowered his head to send messages on his phone.

「Ryan」: Big brother, are you really not coming down? Come over and listen to the self - introductions.

After a dozen seconds, a reply came from the other side.

「Ryder Kensington」: Not going.

Ryan Bennett clicked his tongue and slightly frowned, not giving up.

「Ryan」: Come on, what's so good about sitting on the podium?

「Ryder Kensington」: It's hot.

There was a cover on top of the podium, which was barely the only place on the entire open - air playground that could reduce UV exposure.

But Ryan Bennett was almost amused by this sentence.

Damn it.

「Ryan」: But it's cloudy today, big brother!!

There were still drizzle falling in the sky.

The phone vibrated, and there was another reply.

「Ryder Kensington」: It's cold.

Ryan Bennett: "..."

Damn you.

Hey, his damn competitive spirit.

Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of Aria out of the corner of his eye and had an idea.

「Ryan」: It's almost time for the little beauty to introduce herself. I see that many people in the class are looking at her with shining eyes. Aren't you coming?

「Ryan」: I can't keep an eye on our little sister.

After typing this sentence, Ryan Bennett directly turned off his phone and put it in his pocket, glancing at the podium from time to time.

One minute passed, two minutes passed, three minutes passed.

Ryder still didn't move.

Ryan Bennett thought to himself, could he be wrong? Clearly, that night in the dormitory when they were discussing the beauties among the freshmen of this year, when they mentioned Aria, this guy obviously didn't like to hear it.

Usually, no matter what they talked about, he didn't chime in.

When they pestered him to the end, this guy got impatient and said with a half - smile that "Aria is like his sister".

What, isn't he a sister - complex guy anymore?

Just as he was thinking, he saw the figure pretending to be dead on the podium slowly move.

Ryan Bennett raised his eyebrows.

Ryder stood up unsteadily, paused for a few seconds, put on a black baseball cap, covering his eyes and brows, and was walking towards them.

Ryan Bennett retracted his gaze with satisfaction. This was right. He was here taking care of his students for him. How could he not come down?

Good brothers should get into the same situation together.

Ryder was really too lazy to come down. Originally, as the president of the student union, the matter of leading a class didn't even fall to him.

But who knew that this year there were too many classes in the entire grade, and it happened to coincide with an enrollment expansion. However, there weren't as many students who had retired from the military and returned to school as in previous years, and the military association didn't have enough manpower.

In the end, this troublesome matter fell on him.
