Chapter 35: Chapter 35. Weekend Holiday.
Although U.A. High School is a hero school, the students' schedules are not much different from other schools, and they still have weekends off.
Midoriya Izuku stood pale-faced in front of the All Might statue in the city square. Since All Might is the "Symbol of Peace," most city squares have his statue.
As for why Midoriya was there, it was because it was a landmark and a convenient meeting place.
After being invited by three girls yesterday, Midoriya Izuku was stuck in a dilemma. Any choice could trigger a disaster.
So, in the end, without making a decision, the three girls discussed and decided to spend the weekend together!
Yes, that's the situation. Midoriya Izuku, called by three girls to spend the weekend together, couldn't escape!
While Midoriya looked pale, the three girls arrived, chatting and laughing.
"Wow, Takeyama-san, you knew Midoriya since you were little? I didn't know..."
"Little Uraraka, you were saved by Midoriya-chan during the exam? No wonder..."
"Hatsume Mei, you've been with Midoriya all this time... I'm so jealous!"
The three girls met on the way and exchanged stories about how they knew Midoriya Izuku, getting to know each other better.
"Ah, it's Midoriya-chan!"
From a distance, Hatsume Mei saw Midoriya Izuku staring at the All Might statue and waved excitedly.
After the three girls joined Midoriya, the problem arose again!
"Midoriya-chan~ come with me to buy some parts first~"
"Midoriya, let's go shopping first!"
"Midoriya! Let's go watch a movie!!"
The girls were all competing with each other, making Midoriya's head spin... He really regretted not agreeing to Shinso Hitoshi's invitation to go to the dojo today.
"Let's watch the movie first. If we go shopping, we'll buy stuff and it will be inconvenient to carry. We can buy the parts on the way back!"
Midoriya made a quick and sensible decision. Takeyama Urei was very happy, Ochako reluctantly agreed, and Hatsume Mei said she was just there for fun!
With the decision made, the four of them headed to the cinema, only to find it packed with people.
"Wow! So many people..."
Midoriya had to admit, it was his first time going to the cinema. He usually spent his time training, and if it weren't for the three girls inviting him, he would have gone to the dojo today.
"There really are a lot of people today?"
Takeyama Urei was puzzled. She rarely went to the cinema, but it was never this crowded.
"That's because a new movie about All Might just came out!"
"Mirio-senpai!?"
The person who kindly answered the question was Togata Mirio, along with two others.
"Hey, Mirio, is this the interesting junior you mentioned? He does look interesting!"
The blue-haired beauty next to Togata Mirio was very interested in Midoriya, especially seeing him surrounded by three girls.
"I didn't expect to see you at the cinema, Midoriya. Let me introduce you. This is my classmate, your senior in the third year, Hado Nejire."
"Hello, Hado-senpai!"
Midoriya Izuku politely greeted the third-year senior from U.A. High School. Then Mirio pointed to the other person next to him.
"He is also your senior in the third year, Tamaki Amajiki!"
"Hello, Tamaki-senpai..."
The other person was a man with long black hair and a dark gaze that gave off a strong sense of pressure. His first impression was that he was not simple.
"Don't be scared by Tamaki's look. He's actually very shy!"
"Huh!?"
People can't be judged by their appearance. As Togata Mirio explained, Tamaki Amajiki was hiding behind Mirio, seemingly afraid of the juniors' gazes.
"Mirio-senpai, you said the movie is about All Might!?"
"Yes, that's why the three of us came to the cinema today. A film company has compiled All Might's major events and made a movie out of them!"
"Wow! Does All Might appear in it!?"
"Yes, but he's played by an actor with a transformation Quirk, with All Might's approval!"
"Got it!!"
After talking with Mirio-senpai, the seniors said goodbye to the juniors, as they had already bought their tickets.
"Let's watch that movie!!"
Midoriya Izuku was super excited, leaving the three girls speechless. Whenever it was about All Might, Midoriya would get like this. He truly was All Might's biggest fan.
But it didn't matter. They were there to watch a movie, and it was even better if it was one Midoriya liked.
Midoriya, Uraraka Ochako, Takeyama Urei, and Hatsume Mei's weekend started with watching a movie about All Might's heroic deeds!
At U.A. High School, the frail-looking All Might was sitting with the principal, who was just a small animal.
"How's it going, All Might? Being a teacher after retirement isn't so bad, right?"
"It feels pretty good now. I'm really grateful that Nighteye found such a good candidate like Mirio."
Only a few people in the professional hero circle knew All Might's true condition, and they were mostly the hero teachers at U.A. High School, All Might's alma mater.
"One For All," the Quirk All Might possessed, was passed down through generations. All Might was the eighth successor. After his body was injured and he had to find a new successor, his former assistant Nighteye brought him the news.
Nighteye found Togata Mirio as the successor for All Might! After All Might understood the nature of this child, he agreed that Mirio could be his successor.
Togata Mirio was an excellent successor. Nighteye had been training him early on to inherit "One For All." After All Might passed the Quirk to him, Mirio could initially use 50% of its power, combined with his own permeation Quirk.
All Might's evaluation was that this child could surpass him and become the strongest hero!
With no worries about the successor, All Might was assigned by the principal to teach the first-year students.
"The first-year kids are great and need the guidance of the No.1 hero!"
Now, besides occasionally stepping in during emergencies, All Might mainly focused on teaching the students, which was quite relaxing.
"Mirio went to see my movie, huh..."
All Might knew about the movie released under his name, but it felt a bit strange that Togata Mirio took his friends to the cinema to watch it.
"By the way, I didn't see Akaya Kaiun's name on the enrollment list."
All Might sighed. He had met this child by chance and thought he had great potential to be a hero. But Akaya Kaiun didn't come to U.A. High School, leaving All Might, who had hoped to be his teacher, a bit disappointed...
