Project Eleven: Malefica Obscura

~17~

An hour later...

The news about Crucis Sentinels uncovered a huge sex trafficking ring hit the world like a freight train. Anyone who was smart enough linked it to the Third Revelation. Of course it was public opinion, but it was good enough for every law enforcement agencies all over the world to into it on their areas.

Even back in London, the headquarters were hit hard with calls as everyone was still feverishly working. Everyone who was anyone knew they screwed up big time. Marco Bennett was the only one working on the case and was reassigned and sent back home for... reasons.

Reasons they knew that would come back to haunt them.

Even Jervis had to fly back out to London from Lancashire just to tear Marcus a new asshole.

That had to take it to the rooftop.

“AN OVERSIGHT?! YOU KNEW BENNETT WAS WORKING CLOSEY WITH MY TEAM AND WITH AMERICA ON THIS CASE!” Jervis shouted.

“My administrator gave me the personnel to be cycled through and I approved it!” Marcus defended himself.

“Your own damn daughter! And what is her qualifications of being an administrator, other than nepotism?!” Jervis criticized.

“Bennett did not fit the criteria--”

“Bullshit, Marcus! That spoiled brat was being outshined and she fired her! FIRED HER!” Jervis yelled.

“WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TAKING TO? I’M THE IMPERIAL--!”

“THEN ACT LIKE ONE! INSTEAD OF A BITCH--!”

The door was locked, but someone had to kick it open. It was Dante.

“Jesus, how long were you up here! We need you down here, man!” Dante said.

Marcus and Jervis got off the rooftop and sprinted downstairs following Dante. He led them to Conference Room A where they saw a tanuki girl with auburn hair and matching eyes wearing a green Crucis Sentinel uniform, but kind looked like a ninja.

“Marcus, this is Beta Crucis of the Crux. She has been going over Bennett’s notes.” Dante briefly introduced. “You tell HIM what you told me.”

“Okie-Dokey,” Beta Crucis happily said. “It turns out we have enough evidence to indict the mastermind behind this enterprise.”

Marcus’ face turned pale, “Y-you mean--”

“All she had to do was submit her findings to administration!” Dante stated.

“Actually, she did three weeks ago. Someone named Arcana, Rev Tigra, Red Sun.” Beta Crucis informed.

Jervis glared at Marcus, because his daughter and her friend did nothing.

Knowing there was a lot tension in the room, Beta Crucis focused on the good news, “my crew only hit one of these meat markets, outside of Holland Park. Seclusive, no one would ever expect such depraved activity. That’s how they were successful. Bennett has been finding these places all over the country.”

Beta Crucis then posted a map of the United Kingdom with markers of all over it, “According to her notes: the red markets are the storefronts. Blue markers are the warehouses. Green markers are the airport hangers. Yellow markers are offices. Purple markers are the one that do everything. My team hit one of the two tonight.”

“This map... is it up to date?” Jervis seething his anger.

Beta Crucis nodded, “This map and several other countries have been confirmed--”

“Then let’s go to the one marker right there!” Dante pointed north of the map. “Its next to Lancashire!” he declared.

“Wait, now?!” Marcus was bewildered.

“YES, NOW!” Jervis demanded. “Dante, try to get every available operator to get their gear and get ready to deploy. Beta, give the intel the coordinates.”

Dante, Beta Crucis and Jervis stormed out, leaving dazed Marcus behind.
