Chapter 79: 78. Another addition.
Chapter 78
- Has she been drinking recently? - asked the politician's daughter.
"I can assure you that the princess's mind is not clouded by alcohol," Sae Oz replied.
- A raven talks?! - the politician's daughter exclaimed along with Rei, and only Hisashi managed to stoically keep the thoughts in his head.
- Well, I guess I should introduce myself again. I am Ozvaldo Hrafnavis, the great chronicler of the Nirvana of the Night. - The raven decided to introduce himself again, this time on his own.
- What is Nirvana of the night?
- Is Gojo-san really a princess?
A stream of questions immediately poured in from two directions, but Oz took it all upon himself and explained to them my status as the ruler of an entire kingdom, and in fact even the world.
- Listen. Talking about magic is undoubtedly useful, but at the moment it is better to set out on a journey. I would have liked to get home yesterday and I don't want to waste any more time. - the time traveler interrupted the series of questions and answers.
- Just like that? Everyone is tired... of all this. - said Rey, clearly not ready to leave such a cozy house.
- Do you know the riddle about time? - asked Takashi, and then, without waiting for an answer, began to speak. - Destroys everything around: flowers, animals, a tall building - it will chew up iron, swallow steel and grind rocks into powder, the power of cities, the power of kings are weaker than its might. Tell me, Rei, aren't you afraid that when you come home you will find only ruins and unmarked graves? After all, we can easily miss the most irreplaceable resource - time.
- I... - the girl hesitated, the words of the time traveler clearly struck the right chords. - I can get ready in about an hour, but I can't vouch for the rest... we went through a lot yesterday.
It was clear from Takashi's face that he was ready to explode, and I, slightly reproaching myself for not having thought of this earlier, hastened to suggest another way out of the situation.
- Takashi, you could just show me and Ozu the way, then we could quickly pick up your and Rei's relatives and return here, and at the same time we wouldn't have to explain magic to everyone separately several times. - Having heard my offer, the time traveler was able to force himself to calm down and not say anything offensive to his ex.
- Okay, then let's move out. - Takashi stood up from the table.
- Excellent. - I also got up from the table and, before heading out after the time traveler, I turned to the raven. - Oz. You're in charge.
- Wait, what do you mean he's in charge?! - Saya jumped up immediately, but I left this headache to Ozvaldo, although I hope he won't be offended.
"Where is the raven?" asked Takashi, who was waiting for me on the street.
- He will look after everything here, and will bear the brunt of the girls' curiosity.
"That's cruel," the guy shook his head.
- I'm sure he will forgive me.
- And how will we get there without him? - asked the time traveler.
- Quite simple. Show me in which direction your house is and how many kilometers it is in a straight line. - The time traveler's eyebrow shot up at my words, but nevertheless, after a few seconds I received an answer.
- There, about three kilometers from here. - the guy pointed out the direction, and then, before he could say anything, I grabbed him by the shoulder and teleported in the indicated direction three kilometers ahead, while taking the altitude of 100 meters just in case.
- F**k, you should have warned me! - Takashi cursed, looking down warily.
"Don't worry, you won't fall until I want you to," I reassured the time traveler.
- Very encouraging, - the guy answered sarcastically, to which I rolled my eyes.
- Well, look. Which house do we need?
- That one over there, - the guy pointed to a fairly decent-sized private house.
"Okay," I nodded and moved us to the threshold.
"It's not very nice to feel so helpless," the guy muttered quietly before pressing the doorbell.
- Who's there? - a hysterical female scream rang out.
- I am Komuro Takashi, son of Komuro Hana. I recently called my mother and I know that she is in this house. - Takashi raised his voice slightly.
- How do I know you're telling the truth?! - they asked even more hysterically from the other side.
- Okay. Then we break down the door. - the guy said in a casual tone, making me look at him with a silent question "seriously?"
- Wait, wait, don't break anything! - they reacted quite vividly on the other side. And immediately some kind of fuss began behind the door, and then a more muffled voice added: - I'll open it now.
- A serious case. - said the time traveler, and a wakizashi, which he had taken from the temple, appeared in his hand. And then, as soon as the door swung open, a man suddenly jumped out at us, with a chair raised above his head, only to be met by a blade pressed to his throat.
- Hello, - the time traveler greeted.
- Uh... - the man bleated, afraid to move.
- Okay, let him go Komuro, we don't need their lives. – I shook my head.
- As you say. - shrugging his shoulders, the guy put the blade in his inventory, however, the man, seeing that nothing was threatening him anymore, suddenly decided to continue the attack. Naturally, no one would allow him to do this, so I used anemo to literally blow him away with a stream of wind towards the woman, because of which they are now lying on the floor.
Frankly speaking, they were not pleasant people, but as already said, we did not come to kill, and therefore, we went to ask questions to the owner of the living space, who had just come out to the noise. Kasumi-san turned out to be an elderly woman and, apparently, she really did not like these two who were trying to establish their own order here and had to be pulled up short. As for Takashi Hana's mother and Rei Kiriko's mother, they went out to get groceries, since they had run out, they left less than half an hour ago and should be back soon.
Also Kasumi-san asked to come with us because she did not want to stay in the same house with the "bandits", so Takashi helped her pack her things. All this time, the strange couple looked at us warily, keeping their distance, and since I did not really like their company, I suggested that we wait for the others outside, at the same time I will prepare a circle for teleporting the rest.
- You said you didn't know runic magic, - said Takashi, looking at the symbols I was drawing.
- I don't know. It's one of the infinity techniques aimed at teleporting small groups of people. - I shrugged. - And the symbols are something like a limitation, to make it easier to use the technique.
- Are you sectarians? - the old woman asked warily, no longer so sure about going with us.
- No. Don't worry, we'll explain everything to you when we get there. - Takashi tried to calm the woman down.
- Takashi! - a joyful cry suddenly rang out.
Looking in the direction from where the scream came, we saw two women hurrying towards us, however, the closer they came, the more anxiety appeared on their faces. Hugging her son, Hana asked the questions that had worried her so much.
- Takashi, where's Rei? Why are there only two of you? And what happened to your face?
"Rei is okay, she is in a safe place with the others," Takashi said.
"Save all the talking for later and enter the circle," I urged, not feeling the slightest desire to engage in explanations.
- Enter the circle? What is she talking about, Takashi? And you still haven't told me what happened to your face. - Kiriko took the floor.
- Oh, to hell with it. - I waved my hand and blinked to each one in turn, pulling them into the circle.
- What's going on? - Kiriko exclaimed from such a sudden movement.
"I'll meet you on the other side," I said.
"SPLASH"
After a small bang, all four disappeared, and in their place there remained only a small crater.
"I should probably wait a little while to adapt to the constant use of the eye, otherwise I'm becoming too irritable," I muttered, putting a sealing bandage on my left eye.
- D-demon. - I heard a trembling voice behind me. And turning around I saw a couple looking at me from the open window. However, noticing that I was looking at them right away in panic, they ran inside.
"Why a demon?" I muttered resentfully before teleporting.
