Primordial Wolf TVD

Authors note: hey guys. Another chapter for you. Gonna take a similar path in the first 2 seasons. Season 3 is when we'll begin to make changes. Thanks for all the support guys. I do hope you enjoy it.

Zach

I left Mystic Falls in a hurry. Something had changed. I felt connected with Bonnie. Even more so than my bond I've begun to be able to Identify between myself and my pack members.

The blood we shared was the catalyst. I'd tasted vampire blood. That was delicious. But a witch as powerful as Bonnie had blood that was addictive. I knew when I felt it slide down my throat and the bond that was forming that I needed to get away.

Not only do I need time to think about what she and I share, I need to get back to NOLA. The originals will return, and if they do so before me Derek and Kyle might do something stupid.

I didn't even go see anyone else in town. My time here had become consumed with the originals and Bonnie. I speed out on my bike back south toward my home.

1 Day later

I pull back into the driveway and see my pack waiting on the pourch for me. I don't get to greet them before Katie asks me.

"What's that smell?" She asks.

I shrug. "No idea what your talking about." I say back.

The redhead sniffs again and speaks, "you smell like vanilla and lavender." Realization comes over me. The bond.

I shake my head, "like I said before. No idea."

I turn back to look at Derek as we walk into the house. No words were needed.

"I saw a wolf come into the quarter last night." Derek begins to describe to me Klaus Mikaelson.

I nod, "that is the original hybrid. Klaus." I say.

I see all of them tense. "Don't worry about him. For now we need to focus on fighting. Cmon, let's see how you've improved." I say cutting off any talk about the originals for now.

45 minutes later

I look at the three of my pack members in pity. "Again," I say.

"I can't. I need a few hours at least to heal my bones," Kyle said on the ground.

Derek responds, "he's right Zach. We're beat."

I sigh. "None of you understand what's about to happen. The reason Klaus came back? It's because some witches want to use his soon to be baby against him."

I hear them gasp. "How can a vampire have a child?" Katie asks.

I'd given them an in-depth explanation of the rules of the supernatural world.

"I don't know. He's always been considered a loophole of sorts. Anyway, the birth of that baby is going to put the attention of the entire supernatural world on this town.

For centuries werewolves, vampires, and witches have fought a war over this city. What do you thinks gonna happen when said miracle baby is born?"

I see all of them realize the gravity of what's happening. "It seems you understand. Good. Let's go. Again." I say as my eyes begin burning red.

Rousseau's Bar, New Orleans

Elijah

I'm doing what I've done for 1,000 years. Chasing my brother. This time he's returned to the place we built. New Orleans.

300 years ago it was a French penal slave colony. We turned it into a city. One were all supernatural creatures coexisted at one time.

That became all for not when our father Mikael showed up, intent on destroying us and everything we'd built.

I walk into the establishment where the Devereaux witch is supposed to be employed. I sit at the bar and a young blonde waitress with the name tag ' Camille,'

"So what brings you to the big easy?" She asks.

"I used to live here," I respond.

"Really? When?"

"Oh, feels like 100 years ago," I say back to the woman telling the truth.

"I just moved here myself. What brought you back?"

"Well, my brother is here somewhere. I'm afraid he might have gotten himself into a bit of a bind."

"You say that like it's a common occurrence," she replies. Not knowing how right she is.

"Well, he's complicated… Defiant, ill mannered, and a little temperamental." I say with scenes of my brother flashing by before continuing.

"You see, we don't share the same father. Of course, that never bothered me, my brother resents it deeply. I guess he never felt like he belonged. All told, he has a long history of getting himself into trouble."

"And I'm guessing you have a long history of getting him out of it." She replied. "What kind of bind is your brother in?"

"Well he believes there are people in this city conspiring against him."

"Wow. Narcissistic and paranoid. Sorry. I'm a bartender with a graduate in psychology, cliche."

I decide to get to the meat of the reason for my being here. "Listen, Camille. I'm looking for someone who might shed light on his current predicament. She works here. Jane-Anne Devereaux. Any idea where I may find her?"

"No. But I know someone who might."

After speaking to a witch giving a tour we see Sophie Devereaux trying to take her sisters body away when Marcel appears. Someone I thought died a century ago. This must be the vampire king Zach mentioned.

This place is a powder keg ready to explode. And my brother has jumped feet first into it.

"You mean to tell me marcel is alive and well?" Rebekah asked me over the phone.

"Quite. Our brother has wondered into a warzone. And I haven't been able to find him.

Marcel, who klaus raised now has a menagerie of savage vampires Running wild, killing in public for any human to come upon. What is your health and subjugation I don't close had any idea what he was walking into."

" sorry what was that?" Rebekah asked me. " what's up paying attention at our brother."

"Rebekah.." I began but was cut off.

"Our hateful, scornful, traitorous bastard of a brother negated any sympathy I had for him by the repeated efforts to ensure neither you nor I know happiness outside of his own selfish universe."

"Alwyas and forever Rebekah. That is what we once swore to eachother."

"Consider this me calling take backs."

"You've said that dozens of times over the centuries, yet when our father found and and chased us from this city…"

Again she cuts me off. "I may be old Elijah. But I'm not senile. I know I stuck with klaus. And not 3 years later, he daggers me and sent me into a magical slumber for 90 years. Do you know why? Because I had the audacity to live my life without him."

I've grown tired of her games. "Enough. I believe our brother is In trouble. So whatever's going on between Marcel and the witches, it's Dire enough that they'd risk bringing an original to town. The witches have lured him here and I'd like to know why."

I hang up the phone and go find Sophie.

Zach

Coming back home after running around in Mississippi for a while to hunt I'm called out by Kyle.

"Hey! Some witch was killed tonight. The vampires took her body." He said to me while taking a drink of blood on the couch.

I remember that scene from the first episode. The originals are about to learn about the miracle tribrid baby.

I refocus on Kyle, "good. Time to begin preparations. You remember that stone I had you get?" I ask referring to the kyanite.

"Yea. They're in my room."

"Good. Put them in the safe. Those will be paramount to our ability to get some born werewolves on our side."

"What do you mean?"

"You know, wolves have been persecuted by Marcel for a while now. They will be eager to rise again. When other find out about the baby they'll rush here to witness it. That's when we make our move."

He nods in understanding. "Good. Tell Derek and Katie to always keep a full stomach. Never know when you'll need to fight multiple beings." I remind him before going upstairs and jumping in the shower.

Elijah

I'd had enough of Klaus' Voice. "Listen!" I told him.

He paused and did as I asked. The revelation we'd just received was insanity. This werewolf girl is pregnant with a new mikealson.

I know klaus can hear The tiny heartbeats that my ears can sense as well. This child has given me the chance to truly find my brothers redemption. And I won't let it slip away. No matter what.
