Chapter 7: Chapter 6
It's crazy... I don't know what I'm just doing here, but it seems to me that the whole school is in this house, well, maybe not counting the primaries, who rather avoid such places like fire. Mike undoubtedly has a crazy personality, since he organized a lavish party at his residence without worrying about the damage incurred.
I feel sorry for his parents when they return home after the weekend and find the place entirely ruined.
I wouldn't be here if news of the party hadn't reached my friend. She even forcibly dragged me out of the house, previously dressing and painting me like a doll. I didn't even have the strength to resist. I let her do whatever she wanted with me. Now I regret it. If I had been in my right mind, I certainly wouldn't have worn a cornflower lace dress that reached halfway down my thighs and painted my lips with blood-red lipstick.
I look too defiant, too sexy for a 16-year-old.
I'm sitting on the couch, sipping an unidentified drink that Eve made especially for me. I'm watching her, worrying that something stupid won't come to her mind. It's fortunate that Sebastian, whom she had chosen to play with, is not here. This poor boy has become her scapegoat, it seems to me that her behavior toward him at times already approaches sexual harassment.
I regret dragging him into this mess. It's my fault that she wants to lead him down the wrong path.
- Princess Selena, how nice of you to stop by! - I roll my eyes when Mike finally notices me and takes a seat next to me. - Your little prince will soon join us with the rest of the basketball team. I'm sure he'll be happy to see you.
- It is not mine," I point out.
- But you are his. He's had a fixation on you ever since he saw you. - He pats me on the shoulder, for which I thunder him with my eyes. - Also, it's only a matter of time before he's yours, too.
- How much have you had time to drink, Mike? - I ask openly, leading him to laugh.
- Drink right away.... just telling it like it is.
I continue to sip my drink through the straw, escaping with my eyes from the 18-year-old who is sitting closer and closer to me. It seems to me that he is even denting me with his body on the railing.
- Will you move away from me? I will run out of air shortly.
- You will run out of air the moment you see the scene of jealousy. Felix has just appeared and is heading in our direction," he claims in an amused voice, giggling like a little girl.
At times, he really acts like a child.
- The fact that you are the host of the house and organized this party does not give you all the privileges. I look at the look on Selena's face and come to the conclusion that she does not wish your proximity, and this already approaches sexual harassment," Felix turns to his friend, crossing his arms over his chest.
- Can you, please, somehow chase him out of here? - I ask crush when Mike additionally throws his arm around my shoulders.
- I'm counting to three. If you don't get your ass up from here and out of our sight, I'll turn off the music in a minute and tell everyone your most embarrassing secret," Felix threatens him, smiling maliciously.
- What kind of secret is this? - I ask with curiosity in my voice.
- For his fifteenth birthday, his grandmother wanted to give him vitamins to grow healthy, but she mixed up the boxes in the cabinet and added his grandfather's Viagra to the gift. It's lucky the poor guy didn't overdose on it, because he would have had to have his penis amputated.
I burst into laughter, nearly spilling my drink on myself. Mike looks indignant, but doesn't say a word and leaves us in a second. Felix sits down in his seat, but behaves culturally and keeps his distance between us.
- Have you been here long? - he asks, observing the playing students of our school.
- From half an hour?
He shifts his gaze to me and smiles slightly.
- You and your friend are as different as fire and water," he says, referring to the fact that for such a short period of time the crazy blonde rocked to the point of dancing on a table in the company of a third-grader.
- At events Eve feels like a fish in water. I, on the other hand, need more time to rock.
- And that's what I like about you.
I stare into his eyes for a moment, feeling my cheeks turn a shade of intense red.
- I'm just not as crazy as she is," I explain.
My attention is caught by three girls from the older class, who stand in front of us, shining eyes looking at Felix. One of them tries to be cute and puts a strand of hair behind her ear, smiling flirtatiously at him.
- Felix, can we talk?
- On what subject? - he asks directly. I glance at him and see that his gaze looks entirely different from when he looks at me. - Is it something important?
- I just wanted to tell you that I've liked you since first grade.... - Her voice sounds uncertain. She is probably afraid of how he will react to her words, especially since her classmates are standing next to her.
- You're not the first, so you should already know that I'm not interested in any girl from our school. - I open my eyes wider as he puts his arm around me, and pulls me closer to him. - She is the only one I am interested in. She is the object of my sighs.
I feel like running out of the house and burying my head in the sand as they stare at me with puzzled eyes. In addition, his touch makes my heart beat like crazy and chills tickle my whole body.
- Who is she?
Felix forces a smile, then glances at me obliquely.
- Who is she? A girl whose heart will soon belong entirely to me.
It seems to me that the second-graders are looking at me with burning jealousy in their eyes. If they could light a bonfire with that look, I would undoubtedly burn on the spot.
- How did this slut seduce him? So far, no one has succeeded. - I can hear their indignant conversation as they walk away from us.
- Do you realize that I won't have a life at school, team captain?
- Therefore, I intend to take responsibility for your safety from now on. - I am unable to get a word out when he unexpectedly gets up from the couch and grabs my hand. He drags me with him without even explaining what he intends to do.
Eve notices what's going on, and instead of protecting her friend, she lifts her thumb up, announcing that everything is going in the right direction. I'm outraged when she simply goes back to grooming an older schoolmate.
- Where are you taking me, Felix? - I ask in a panicked voice, getting the impression that people are watching us. Probably already a rumor has begun to spread that the most popular boy of the school is about to cast his snare on me.
- For the kitchen.
What, is he hungry, or perhaps thirsty?
I'm a bit uneasy as he plants me on the countertop, and the eyes of his two teammates mirror me in depth. They are sipping beers, accompanied by pretty friends.
- Finally, Felix some chick meets your requirements. Well... I won't deny that you are aiming high, bastard.
The 18-year-old looks into the refrigerator and over his shoulder, shows them the middle finger.
- Beautiful, watch out for him, because he may act like a beast now that he has finally met his ideal. - One of them addresses me directly, to which I force a smile in response.
- Be careful that you don't meet this beast on the field on Monday. Bullying my teammates is my specialty during training.
The teasing boy puts the bottle to his lips, but does not take a sip, clearly disturbed by Felix's words.
- Mr. Captain, more sense of humor. - He laughs nervously.
- I will think it over as I disappear. - His buddies quickly get up from their chairs and, taking the girls with them, are gone quickly.
Undoubtedly, Felix is a terror in his team. He must have proven it more than once, since they can so easily believe him.
At this point, we are alone in the kitchen. The 18-year-old pours orange juice into a glass, then hands it to me. I am surprised that it does not contain added alcohol.
- One drink is enough for you. You are too young to consume large amounts of vodka.
- Beer is softer," I announce jokingly.
- Do you experience kidney problems?
- No," I reply surprised.
- So you don't have to drink beer.
The more I get to know Felix, the more I see that he has a bossy character, and it must be as he says.
I tip the glass to my lips and choke down its entire contents. The juice is sour, but delicious.
A classmate of mine rushes into the kitchen. He is drenched in a dead body and I think he doesn't even know where he currently is.
- My pretty friend," he announces in a mumbled voice, pointing his finger at me. He walks closer, and out of the corner of my eye I see Felix measuring him with penetrating eyes. - Selena, I wouldn't expect from you that you like to party.
- I don't like it. I was forced," I reply, wrinkling my eyebrows as he leans over my face.
- Do you like to be forced? Then why don't I kiss you?
I start to panic and already feel like pushing him away, but it is done for me by Felix, who grabs him by the collar of his blouse and pulls him away from me.
- Keep your hands off him, especially those alcohol-smelling mouths," he warns him, piercing him with a diabolical gaze. - Selena is untouchable. Touch her and I'll break your arm.
A drunken Max gives up and politely retreats to the back when he finally realizes who the author of those words is.
- I respect, the captain of the team. I keep my fingers crossed for the next match. Good luck. - On his way out of the kitchen he falls over his feet.
- He doesn't usually behave like this. It's the alcohol that runs through him," I explain to my classmate, getting up from my chair, as it seems to me that Felix is furious. And this is confirmed by his behavior as he grabs me around the waist and lifts me up, planting me on the countertop. Wide-eyed, I watch his face as he leans with his hands at my hips, preventing me from getting down.
- That's why I don't want other guys hanging around you any longer, thinking you're free. I want you to be mine so that everyone knows to stay away from you a mile away. - His bold words make me swallow my saliva nervously. - I'm going crazy with the thought that I can't kiss you, even though I know you like me.
My heart starts beating harder again. My body feels the excitement, even though I am scared.
What if in a moment he does it without my permission? How should I behave then? After all, this is my crush! The man I adored for so long, fantasizing about him in stories.
- Wasn't there a similar scene in your story? Isn't it a passage from our first kiss?
Oh mother, he is trying to recreate in real life all those scenes that he read in a novel by me!
My cheeks turn a shade of intense red as he stares into my eyes the entire time, waiting for an answer.
- I don't know if you realize, but at this point you are embarrassing me a lot.
His sweet smile makes my excitement grow.
- I see, Selena, that's why you look so adorable with your blush, and it makes me feel like embracing those cheeks.
He follows his words, so I get the impression that it's a matter of time before he kisses me.
- Felix, I think we should go back to the living room where everyone is.
- But I only want to be with you.
- Why?
- Just for that. - He lowers my face and kisses me on the lips. Pleasant warmth floods my blood-red lips. I finally close my eyelids as butterflies of excitement arise in my stomach that Eve has never had, even though she has seduced guys so many times. I have, and with the first boy who has been my crush so far.
My first dream has just come true. My imagination has become a reality.
